Hoy, al igual que cada 3 de enero desde 2018, es el "Proof-of-Keys Day", el día de la "Prueba de Claves" (o de Llaves).

En celebración del primer bloque de Bitcoin que se haya minado (el 3 de enero del 2009), estamos todos invitados a retirar nuestro Bitcoin de cualquier plataforma centralizada (custodiada) donde lo tengamos - usualmente se trata de intercambios centralizados, como Binance, Coinbase, Bitfinex, Kraken, etc., o de billeteras custodiadas, en caso hayamos dejado ahí más que un par de miles de satoshis.

El propósito de esta iniciativa es no solo recordar que la soberanía financiera requiere nuestro control completo sobre nuestro Bitcoin (sino desde el inicio, por lo menos a partir de cierto grado de comodidad personal con las billeteras), es también poner a prueba esas empresas centralizadas, para ver hasta qué punto poseen realmente todo el Bitcoin que pretenden tener bajo su control - se ha comprobado en años anteriores que varios exchanges han practicado de la misma manera que los bancos: prestan o invierten una parte del Bitcoin de los clientes, contando con que nunca tendrán que devolvérselo a todos en muy poco tiempo.

d) lecciones aprendidas y valoraciones de nuestra primera participación como red en “Adopting Bitcoin” y en “Economía Bitcoin”;

e) inauguración del deCentro Bitcoin/Punto de Información Bitcoin de Santa Ana;

f) calendarización de nuestros talleres del 2026 y del curso comunitario de Bitcoin

They coined the “Détente Attack” concept: if a single entity gains control of 60% of the Bitcoin mining hashrate and performs a triple attack [compliance attack x selfish mining attack x hashrate mutualized in one pool], it would technically be able to censor more than 99% of the blocks – and to allow “politically compliant transactions” only.

Who’s the most probable candidate for such a “soft-handled takeover”?

I fully agree. It's much better to clear the way to Nostr & other Bitcoin inspired apps for all iPhone users than not do it 🙃.

What we most probably need then is to promote more through Nostr open source privacy phones (that should become the norm, instead of the exceptions) and above all a phone-freed life, where no company nor State will be tracking our every move, and we'll pay our groceries with sats or the coming self-custodied Cashu, through standalone Bolt cards (no phone required).

Otherwise, the next step will be easy & instant fiat stablecoin payments through the Internet of Bodies, and each one of us carrying a Pop Mart designed chip in his preferred organ.

In our Bitcoiners from the Western part of El Salvador network ("Bitcoineros del Occidente"), we’re big believers in teaching self-custody to newbies BEFORE any Bitcoin’s custodial app (custodial wallets, etc.).

Bitcoin’s "raison d'être" and nuclear reactor IS self-custody. Anything else is a win for the fiat mindset & Ponzi scheme. Once we’ve shown to other fellow Salvadorans how to write down & preserve their seedphrase, they’re not confused: they’re empowered.

And if they have peasants in their family (most do), the analogy with sowing and multiplying their own seeds, in a self-custodied fashion, instead of having to purchase them from a seeds company, is a no brainer.

Not sure if organizations also introduce themselves on Nostr, lol, but here we go :-) We’re a Salvadoran network made up of plebs from the Western part of the country and focused on teaching Bitcoin as self-custodied, open source based & privacy hardened money.

We’ve been setting up meet-ups and workshops for a bit more than 2 years now, and are supporting Autonomous Circular Economies (ACEs), where the main vectors to transact sats are self-custodied wallets & efforts are made to foster self-sustainable families and communities (producing their own seeds, food, energy, monetary infrastructure, etc.).

You’ll find us on Nostr only, where we use to publish 50/50 in Spanish & English. Very API to take part in the Nostr saga!
