The first one is for the page to filter long-form events only if they contain a `section` tag with a value being the same as the route name. Meaning, if you navigate on a path being, for instance, `/[locale]/articles`, only the long-form events (from the env-var defined authors) containing the tag `["section", "articles"]` will be displayed.
The `lang` tag is optional. Long-form articles that include a `lang` tag will be displayed only in the corresponding locale version of the site, while those not including a `lang` tag will be displayed in all locale versions.

Rien que ces derniers mois, le monde a assisté à des pannes majeures chez Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services et Microsoft Azure — chacune entraînant l'arrêt de milliers d'entreprises, de services et d'applications qui en dépendaient. Ce n'étaient pas des cas marginaux. C'étaient des défaillances systémiques des noms les plus réputés du cloud computing, révélant une vérité dérangeante : la centralisation est un point de défaillance unique, quel que soit le nombre de « neuf » après la virgule du 99.9% de disponibilité promis dans un contrat.

Parallèlement, la ruée vers l'IA dévore les ressources de calcul à un rythme sans précédent. Le prix de la RAM a explosé en quelques mois, transformant ce qui était une commodité en une ressource rare et coûteuse. Les factures cloud s'envolent. La complexité des infrastructures croît. Les centres de données sont devenus des cibles militaires. Et les entreprises prises dans cette spirale sont celles qui ont tout délégué — leurs données, leurs processus, leur souveraineté — à une poignée de fournisseurs dont les intérêts ne sont pas toujours alignés avec les leurs.

La question n'est plus de savoir si la prochaine perturbation surviendra, mais quand — et si votre organisation sera prête à y faire face. La bonne nouvelle ? Réduire cette dépendance ne demande pas une révolution. Souvent, cela commence par des décisions pragmatiques : faire tourner vos bases de données sur des clusters correctement dimensionnés et autogérés plutôt que sur des services managés opaques ; maîtriser votre chaîne de sauvegarde de bout en bout ; garantir que vos processus critiques puissent survivre sans l'aval d'un tiers.

De l'IPFS à Nostr : la nouvelle vague de décentralisation

L'idée de décentraliser le web n'est pas nouvelle. IPFS a été pionnier du stockage adressable par contenu et a démontré que la distribution pair-à-pair de données pouvait fonctionner à grande échelle. Il reste une solution tout à fait pertinente pour des usages spécifiques — distribution de ressources statiques, archivage de données, publication résistante à la censure. Mais IPFS a aussi atteint ses limites évolutives : sa complexité, sa dépendance aux services de pinning, et sa difficulté à gérer du contenu dynamique ont freiné son adoption en tant que couche d'infrastructure généraliste.

C'est là qu'intervient Nostr — acronyme de « Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays ». Introduit fin 2020, Nostr adopte une approche radicalement différente. Plutôt que de réinventer le stockage, il réinvente la communication. Pas de blockchain, pas de jeton, pas de mécanisme de consensus. Par ailleurs, une couche de résilience supplémentaire est intégrée. Si le backend venait à être indisponible (il tourne déjà dans un centre de données Tier III en Europe, indépendant des géants habituels du cloud), le site resterait accessible via IPFS. Dans ce mode de repli, le navigateur du visiteur devient le moteur : il interroge directement les relais Nostr, sans aucun serveur intermédiaire. Une accessibilité permanente native.

Ce n'est pas un exercice théorique. C'est une infrastructure opérationnelle aujourd'hui, dont le coût de fonctionnement et de maintenance représente une fraction de celui d'un CMS traditionnel et du backend nécessaire à atteindre ce niveau de haute disponibilité, et qu'aucune défaillance d'un prestataire ne peut mettre hors ligne.

Au-delà du contenu : identité, paiements et contrôle d'accès

Le potentiel de Nostr dépasse largement la gestion de contenu. L'une de ses dimensions les plus prometteuses est l'identité décentralisée (DID). Dans le modèle Nostr, votre identité est votre paire de clés cryptographiques. Pas d'e-mail, pas de mot de passe, pas de fournisseur OAuth susceptible de vous verrouiller l'accès ou de collecter vos données. Vous êtes votre clé.

The authoring workflow is straightforward: write, sign, publish to relays. The website, knowing which author(s) it has to publish, picks it up.

Moreover, there is an additional resilience layer. Should the backend ever go offline (it already runs in a Tier III data center in Europe, independent from any of the usual cloud giants, so this is unlikely), the site remains accessible via IPFS. In this fallback mode, the client's browser becomes the engine: it fetches content directly from Nostr relays, with no server needed in between. Permanent accessibility, by design.

This is not a theoretical exercise. This is infrastructure that works today, that costs a fraction of a traditional CMS stack to operate and maintain, and that cannot be taken down by a single provider's bad day.

Beyond content: identity, payments, and access control

Nostr's potential extends far beyond content management. One of its most promising dimensions is Decentralized Identity (DID). In the Nostr model, your identity is your cryptographic keypair. No email, no password, no OAuth provider that can lock you out or harvest your data. You are your key.

This opens vast possibilities that we have been exploring for years in the field of decentralized identity and access management:

Proximity economies and marketplaces: Nostr's native integration with the Lightning Network enables instant, near-zero-cost micropayments. Imagine local marketplaces, pay-per-use services, or tipping systems — all running on open protocols, requiring minimal infrastructure, and leaving no middleman in the loop.

On-demand services: lightweight backends that authenticate users and deliver services based on Nostr identity and Lightning payments, with no accounts to manage, no databases to secure, no GDPR nightmares.

Access control, both physical and digital: cryptographic proof of identity can replace badges, passwords, API keys, and subscription management systems. A signed Nostr event can open a door, grant access to a dataset, or authorize a transaction.

Rien d'extraordinaire en soit, excepté sur le fait qu'il fonctionne sans aucun CMS. Tout le contenu provient directement de Nostr !

Le site sait les auteurs qu'il doit publier, reconnaît certains tags custom pour savoir où les classer et sous quelle locale éventuelle les afficher, et sait également les calendriers d'événements à lister, et il s'occupe de tout (fetch depuis les relais, mise en cache, pré-rendu, etc.).

Comme j'étais sur ma lancée, j'ai également implémenté la possibilité d'afficher n'importe quel article long-form (kind 30023) sous l'url `/fr/articles/naddr1...` (le naddr doit contenir au moins un relay hint), et ainsi le site peu servir de client pour n'importe quel article publié sur Nostr.

Today, I launched a brand-new website for my business.
Nothing out of the ordinary in itself, except for the fact that it runs without any CMS. All the content comes directly from Nostr!

The site knows which authors to publish, recognises certain custom tags to determine where to categorise them and in which locale to display them, and also knows which event calendars to list, and it handles everything (fetching from the relays, caching, pre-rendering, etc.).

As I was on a roll, I also implemented the ability to display any long-form article (kind 30023) under the URL `/fr/articles/naddr1...` (naddr should contain at least one relay hint), so the site can act as a client for any article published on Nostr.

Here is a mistake that most beginners make on Nostr, in my experience, and one that most clients are not very helpful with:

1. Someone generates a new keypair.
2. The client they use for their onboarding process then suggests a few relays, which they accept.
3. They then write a bio, which is published on those relays.
4. Later, after a few weeks of using Nostr, they choose other relays, sometimes keeping only one or two of the original relays.
5. Since they don't really care about their bio, they don't republish it on the new relays.

As a result, their profile is difficult for clients to access, and other users do not know "who is speaking" when they see their notes, until someone explains it to them.

So, to avoid this, clients should simply republish the kind 0 on the new relays immediately when a new kind 10002 is published.

A few years ago, when I wanted to understand why people who were much smarter than me, and who had studied economics (whereas I hadn't at all), didn't understand Bitcoin, I wanted to understand (or rather, let's say I wanted to be sure that I wasn't making the wrong choices in life!).
So I started investigating to find out what they knew that I was missing, to see if I was wrong (as they claimed).
After months of looking into the programmes of the most prestigious universities, notably the Sorbonne, I realised that the answer could be summed up in a single word: indoctrination (into Kenesianism, of course).
But I never had the influence or legitimacy to express it anywhere other than in the corner of a bar at a Meetup after a few beers!

It would be crucial that many more economists from these fields come to the same realisation, and above all, express it publicly and actively.

I use it now permanently for my daily feeds, debugging my Nostr developments, monitoring my relays, following the people I onboard on Nostr to check if they are doing right and helping them to set everything, etc.

Just a very small suggestion: When clicking on "Copy ID", it would help a lot if the generated `nevent...` (or `naddr...` for adressable events) would contain the relay hint (1 or 2 of the relays where grimoire found that event) as well.

Good reminder today. When building for the sovereign web, 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 think decentralization first. And when convenience really requires the implementation of a potential bottleneck or single point of failure, at least implement some kind of fallback or timeout callback that would allow the client to try another path.
Until recently, I was a strong supporter of IPFS, as it solved this kind of problem (moved the resolver by the client). My opinion has now changed, and I agree with most of the criticism of IPFS, mainly regarding its overall performance. But content addressing wasn't such a bad idea.
Blossom developers should at least try to salvage the good ideas that were in IPFS.

Not only this kind of processor requires a "pre-processor" to compile python on the fly to bytecode (because in the end, it will inevitably be bytecode that will be executed), but the board will require much more memory to store ascii-human-readable python code instead of a compiled bytecode like in traditional micro-controllers. 🤔
