I have a few interviews coming up. Fingers crossed one of them goes well enough for me to be hired again. Moving abroad has been a fun experience, but horrible for my remote work possibilities. One thing I've learned is that a lot of remote work is only for people living in that specific country. Globally remote work is so rare right now.

This is a cool site. Looking more closely at the daily metrics over the past year, it seems like it's flattening out. This makes sense, because I think a year+ ago, it was newer and people were still making the move over and trying it out. The growth they had at the start was never going to remain. To echo somewhat the points made in a few other comments here, that's probably a good thing.

I started Fallout and got hit with 2.5 minute ads. I just mute the TV, scroll social media, and look up every minute or so to see how long is left. Then resume. It's pretty similar to cable TV back in the day that you paid for but still got commercials. Golden age of streaming ended when I couldn't stream The Office commercial free on Netflix for $5 a month. What a time to be alive.

So how to people get more involved in #Fosstodon ? Do you have the Live Feeds on constantly to see who's posting and just reply to posts? I'm here part-time but interested in getting to know others but unsure how people really get involved and know each other. Seems like a big instance.
