Sure there's some mindless Yes-ing but it's a very low proportion of the interaction. What's maybe different is I can look at the output and point out bad abstractions, memory leaks, races or whatever.

I've said this before and it's still a great metaphor: working with these tools is like Earth bending. 😊

Do folks get much value from the transcript feature? Or if you're a podcast app maker, do your users value it, and tell you?

Clearly an accessibility win, but beyond that it's a fully audio medium for me. I don't *look* at my app, I lock the screen and shove it in my pocket.

I remember coding this into wherever and thinking: "Neat, the words highlight and scroll! But I'll never use it."

I've definitely had to recalibrate and rework my relationship with the daily act of coding. It's turned into something more like, I don't know, terraforming.

For the interested, this is very straightforward to build with current tech: download the content, transcribe it, and ask an LLM to find the ads. No need for fancy audio fingerprinting or heuristics, no knowledge of who is speaking. It's a solved problem.

not sure where this is coming from but fwiw the folks I worked with on a day to day basis during my 9 years there were excellent particularly at fundamentals, ie stuff that is not as well represented in the general dev population. I've seen both and there's a big difference. That said, big company incentives tend to obscure that.

Honestly I think "vibe coding" is a disservice as a name. I see it more as a natural language to code compiler.

Has anyone messed with Greenlight? I managed to create a node and an invoice using their python samples, but attempts to pay the invoice from breez fail with no route, and fail silently from getalby's web ui.

Digging further, the node doesn't appear to have any peers. I think this fits in the category of stuff that greenlight aims to abstract away from the developer. Any ideas for an LN n00b?
