Panellists exchanged notes about how to raise awareness and minimise their dependence on proprietary software, at least for club-related activities

While other talks spoke about thing that had happened in the past, this talk focused more on the future. It highlighted the many #[url=https://venera.social/search?tag=UX]UX[/url] papercuts faced by #[url=https://venera.social/search?tag=XMPP]XMPP[/url] clients today, and raised an interesting idea: what if we make a “shiny” #[url=https://venera.social/search?tag=XMPP]XMPP[/url] client by hooking up the well-polished UX of #[url=https://venera.social/search?tag=Telegram]Telegram[/url] to an existing XMPP client library?

The Indian government has recently banned #[url=https://venera.social/search?tag=Telegram]Telegram[/url] for a week in India in the guise of preventing NEET exam paper leaks.

We believe this is a heavy-handed action aimed at deflecting attention without solving the real problem. Banning apps on a whim like this goes against democracy and accountability.

As a messaging provider with operations in India, we condemn this action by the Indian government.

Telegram has approached the court and we hope that the courts will step in to fulfill their role of limiting government overreach.

We worked on getting Prav's financial records organised in a single place, so we can refer to it easily. This will make work easier for the Treasury Team and also enable greater transparency in our reporting

Our original meeting place, Chaayos in Connaught Place, turned out to be too crowded. We instead sat at Andhra Canteen for a couple of hours to kick off the session

After an ice cream break, we went to Café Coffee Day but they were not welcoming and wanted us to order more just for the privilege of sitting down. So we left the place and wrapped up at the bench outside in the infamous Delhi heat

Note to self: bring fully charged laptops next time!

The recent SIM binding order by the Indian government is a disproportionate move for its goals. It will erode user privacy, making sharing smartphones impractical, and impact multi-device use, among other things.
