Hey #Ubuntu friends: I keep fatfingering the numlock key and switching off my numeric keypad. I used Tweaks to set "Numeric keypad always enters digits" to true, but hitting numlock still switches off the numeric keypad. I also tried using xmodmap to set numlock to blank, but it rejected every identifier I tried for the key ("77," "0xff7f," "Num_Lock") with "bad keycode value".

Ideas?

Sure, we were able to file for a few thousand bucks per book that Anthropic downloaded from a pirate site to train its models on. If the only LLMs were a couple big data-centers at Sandia National Labs, no one would be particularly exercised about the water and energy demands they represented. Big scientific endeavors - from NASA launches to the large Hadron Collider - often come with immense material and energy needs. Any suggestions for a better text editor (not vim/emacs) for Ubuntu than the default Gnome editor? It's got three frustrating dealbreakers for me:

1. Can't turn off syntax highlighting, AND the syntax highlighting is so confusing that it leads to me screwing up.

2. No way to get a wordcount for selection block.
