It was actually the first time I&#39;ve ever made meatloaf by any means. Since it was going to take so long I cooked it next to the fire instead of over it, and I used the fire to generate coals. I used oak but for some reason the coals kept going out on me, especially on the bottom in contact with the stump, and I had to refresh them probably 4-5 times. My son helped me blow on them to keep it going. I didn&#39;t have everything I needed for the glaze so I used A1 sauce and it turned out really nice. I used a bed of onions on the bottom to prevent scorching and I think it helped give it a nice flavor. I had this idea that if I add spicy jalapeño Cheetos to the mixture that it would make a nice hot meatloaf, but I couldn&#39;t detect it at all. That being said, it tasted pretty good.
