They send you the text of a question with a big one minute countdown timer and your own view of your webcam in a browser. You think of an answer and it automatically begins video recording when the minute is done, with a five minute limit.

There's no interviewer that is reacting to you if you're going down the wrong path, no way to "fix" something you said earlier because once you hit save, it's uploaded, etc.

I got added to a new org's Google Apps account this week. I load up the all-team calendar and see there's a regular meeting on Wednesday at 10am.

Around 9am today, I double-check my calendar and the meeting was already over because it started at 8am.

The company is in the central time zone but Google Calendar failed to reflect that for over 48hrs.

What I also love about Signal is that under the hood, it's all the wants and wishes of PGP email from 30 years ago, but without all the difficult email client and lock/key handshakes required of PGP back in the day.

It just works smoothly like every other messaging app, but that one is the most safe. If you dig into it, you can get your checksums and keys and shit, but it doesn't expose it to every user in order to start adopting it.

I love nerdy stuff with good UX, and Signal has it.
