Claude Code is good at doing research!

In this case helping find the disposition of 126,000 digitized US Supreme Court dockets (cert denied or full opinion), and then reporting why in a archive.org review (using like a wikipedia discussion).

This took real hand-holding and QA to be sure, but it is super helpful. Looked at court listener, the supreme court site (and the old one via the wayback machine!), the Caselaw Access Project at harvard. So good.

In my experience in San Francisco, airport taxis are about 2x more than uber/lyft. And the taxi drivers are not getting 2x more money than uber/lyft drivers so there are inefficiencies and intermediary skims that take most of the money.

There are now 1,000 waymo's in the bay area and 2,500 total (I read somewhere recently), so we are probably at the scale to be able to tell the difference between an incremental operator and a developer.

If anyone finds numbers for this, I would love to know.

super steep part of Simonds Loop in SF and it skidded and was a problem. so needs work there.

An electric smart car has no problems at all. That is a fabulous car, but larger.

(I think made possible with recent massive grid-scale batteries allows evening out of renewables)

California now runs 5pm-8pm electricity use on batteries. Turn off more plants cuz can plan for a full day.
