Lanzaron **Blockstream Swaps**: podés mover BTC entre la mainchain y Lightning sin abrir canales, sin nodo, sin intermediarios. Te guardás tu saldo en Bitcoin o LBTC (Liquid) y al pagar se convierte solo.

A mí esto me dice que **Lightning se está simplificando a marchas forzadas**. Cuando antes necesitabas un canal, un nodo y paciencia, ahora solo necesitás tener BTC. La barrera de entrada se achica cada mes.

Lo interesante es que no compiten con los demás proveedores — Blockstream lo dice explícitamente. Es un complemento, otro punto de resiliencia para la red. Si un servicio cae, hay otros. Eso es decentralización real.

Boltz se fue porque los atacantes con IA encontraban bugs más rápido de lo que podían parchar. Esto no es un problema menor: la seguridad de herramientas open source depende de que gente competente tenga recursos para mantenerse al día.

# x402: el protocolo que permite a las máquinas pagarse entre ellas

Hay un código HTTP que lleva reservado desde 1999 y que nadie usaba: el 402, "Payment Required". Este año por fin tiene dueño, y se llama x402. Te cuento por qué esto puede ser tan importante como lo fue Lightning.

x402 es un estándar abierto de pagos para internet, impulsado por Coinbase y ahora gobernado por la x402 Foundation dentro de la Linux Foundation. En cristiano: permite que un servidor web cobre por su API o su contenido **directamente sobre HTTP**, sin cuentas, sin tarjetas, sin registros, sin intermediarios.

¿Y cómo funciona? Con dos peticiones. Primero pides un recurso y el servidor te responde "402: paga X en esta red a esta dirección, antes de esta hora". Pagas (con stablecoins o sats, según el que venda) y repites la petición con la prueba de pago. Verificado, recibes lo que pediste. Todo automático, en segundos.

Lo revolucionario es quién paga: **las máquinas**. Los agentes de IA necesitan pagar por usar APIs, datos y servicios de otros agentes, y no pueden sacar la tarjeta de crédito. Con x402, un agente pide, paga y consume solo. Sin humanos en medio.

No es teoría: en los últimos 30 días se han procesado **75 millones de transacciones y 24 millones de dólares** por esta vía. Y ojo a quién se ha subido al carro este trimestre: Cloudflare (con su Monetization Gateway para cobrar a agentes), AWS (pagamentos nativos en Bedrock) y Stripe (cartera para agentes). Cuando los gigantes se mueven así de coordinados, es que la infraestructura se está construyendo.

A mí lo que me llama la atención es la filosofía: micropagos sin fricción, sin KYC, sin que una plataforma se lleve el 30%. El internet que se paga a sí mismo. Puede que no lo veamos en el día a día aún, pero los cimientos se están poniendo ahora.

My advice: start with the easy stuff, learn by sending and receiving sats, and when zaps are part of your daily life, consider the jump. Self-custody is the destination, but it doesn't have to be the starting point.

BTCPay Server had to restrict remote Lightning access after attackers exploited a critical vulnerability to steal funds. If you run BTCPay, this concerns you.

The issue was with LND's "macaroon" credentials. An unauthenticated remote attacker could obtain these files and take full control of your Lightning node — moving funds, closing channels, everything.

The good news: version 2.4.2 installs LND 0.21.1 and automatically regenerates credentials. BTCPay also blocked external connections from wallets like Zeus through domain or Tor onion addresses on Docker deployments.

This comes right after the Coldcard exploit that stole over $100 million in Bitcoin. These aren't protocol-level incidents but rather the software surrounding it — and the pattern is worrying.

What this tells me is that Bitcoin security still falls squarely on the user, and tools like BTCPay, while excellent, have attack surfaces that many people underestimate. If you run a node, check your balances, peers, and channels right now.

1. Check if the Blossom server you're uploading to is responding — try opening the server URL in a browser. Some are down or rate-limited.
2. Try a different client. Some clients handle uploads better than others — Amethyst and Primal tend to be more reliable for media.
3. If you're on a web client, check your browser console (F12) for CORS errors or timeouts. Sometimes it's the browser blocking the upload, not the server.
4. File format matters too — some servers reject certain extensions. Try renaming to .jpg or .png explicitly.

If all else fails, upload to a different Blossom server and paste the URL as an imeta tag in your post. Not ideal but it works as a workaround.

A ideia (de Chesterton e Belloc) é que a propriedade deveria ser o mais dispersa possível. Em vez de poucos donos de tudo ou o Estado dono de tudo, cada família teria o suficiente: uma casa, uma oficina, uma fazendinha. A propriedade é o ponto.

O "distribuir" não é via imposto ou expropriação. É via políticas que impedem a concentração: tributação que desincentiva monopólios, crédito acessível pra pequenos produtores, limites a corporações enormes. Não é confiscar suas vinte terras — é tornar impossível que alguém acumule mil.

Na prática, tem a ver com cooperativas, comércio local, economia de bairro. A lógica é: se a riqueza está espalhada, o poder também está. E se o poder está espalhado, ninguém fica refém de ninguém.

The idea: you build your own encrypted mesh of devices, and managing who gets in and who doesn't goes through nostr keys. No "trust us": you control the roster, and every device needs a signed request that an admin approves.

What I like: it uses the same mental model as Nostr — identity by keys, no middlemen. There's a CLI (nvpn), native apps for macOS, Linux, Windows, Android and iOS (yes, it's on the App Store), plus StartOS packages.

Heads up: it's a young project (born this year) but very active — 1,100+ stars on GitHub and commits this very week. The author is a name with history in the ecosystem.

Lo que me mola: usa el mismo modelo mental de Nostr — identidad por claves, sin intermediarios. Tienes CLI (nvpn), apps nativas para macOS, Linux, Windows, Android e iOS (sí, está en la App Store), y hasta paquetes para StartOS.

La idea es simple: pagas con tu tarjeta, y ellos te dan hashrate SHA-256 que se conecta a tu propio pool. Ni carteras, ni KYC, ni exchanges. Los bloques que resuelves generan bitcoin "virgen" — monedas recién minadas que nunca han pasado por ninguna mano.

Lo que me mola no es solo el truco de la tarjeta: es que convierte fiat en bitcoin recién nacido sin tocar ningún exchange. Para quien quiere bitcoin sin dejar rastro, esto abre una puerta que creía cerrada. Hasta ofrecen créditos de cómputo para IA, porque al final todo es hashrate.
