Recall the Scottish axe girl? The police arrested her, stated that there was no substance to the claims circulating on social media while cautioning the public against disseminating misinformation.

Turns out it was Police Scotland, the First Minister, and corporate media in the UK and elsewhere who were spreading false information.

A young Scottish girl who waved a knife and axe went viral on social media in August 2025. According to the accompanying narrative, she was trying to protect her sister from unwanted advances from a man. The police quickly arrested the twelve-year-old girl and stated that there was "no evidence" for the claims being spread, and cautioned the public against spreading false information. First Minister Swinney condemned "deliberate disinformation." The media described the man as a "family man." Newspapers reported on the danger of false narratives. The Bulgarian-born man was now convicted in June 2026 for assault and for threatening and abusive behavior. The man's sister pleaded guilty to assault.

The twelve-year-old's mother: "They told the truth and they were vilified. There were far too many lies at the beginning." And it wasn't the girls who lied. But no apologies are to be found.

This dynamic of silence is also visible at the heart of the EU. The Russian comedian duo Vovan and Lexus have for more than a decade engaged in tricking decision-makers - both Sweden's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defence have been targeted. Their primary list of victims includes ECB President Christine Lagarde, who in a call with whom she believed was Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy disclosed non-public information about the launch of the digital euro. When the ECB was asked about what measures had been taken, they replied that "the ECB does not understand why any serious journalist would want to write about this."

A similar pattern repeats in Sweden. An investigative reporter managed to go undercover into Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson's innermost circle, with a made-up surname and a falsified portrait photo. The incident has been described as a "catastrophically poor security culture." An external expert saw that the photograph was AI-generated within minutes. The Security Service (Säpo) has chosen not to comment on the details of the incident or answer whether they failed in their protective duties.

Säpo pretends that the undercover operation was not a problem. The ECB pretends that the Lagarde call was not remarkable, despite the same seemingly simple methods continuing to bear fruit. And in Dundee, Police Scotland pretends that they never prosecuted a child for defending herself against a sexual predator—and never warned the public about "disinformation" when the truth was exactly as the girls said.

What unites these stories is the lack of learning. If an organization does not even acknowledge that an incident has occurred, there is no failure to evaluate. And if no failure is evaluated, there is nothing to learn from. The mistakes are doomed to be repeated, time and again.

Trust in the Scottish police fell during 2025 to its lowest level in over 40 years - a drop of eleven percentage points in a single year.

A bitter irony is exposed when the institutions that most loudly worry about disinformation on social media are simultaneously the ones spreading it. And when the institutions' betrayal affects innocent girls - and the apologies are absent - does the falling trust then not seem utterly natural?

Why is counterfeiting problematic? Most respondents to such a question would likely come up with the following answers: 1) it could undermine trust in the financial system, 2) counterfeit money could fund criminal activities, 3) counterfeit money could cause inflation. However, these answers may overlook the bigger picture.

The real problem of counterfeiting

Our money holds value because we can exchange it for tangible goods, either presently or in the future. Money thus represents claims on the real world. Successful counterfeiting allows for the creation of new claims without anything necessarily happening in the real world. Counterfeiters can use these fake claims to purchase actual goods (such as guns, ammunition or potatoes) with something essentially worthless. Those who receive such counterfeit money will believe they have gained something real. They will also believe their wealth has increased. However, the money will eventually not stretch as far as they expect, either because the fake bills will be discovered by some forensic expert or because they will not be able to buy as much as anticipated due to future inflation.

What happens to our conclusions if our assumptions are wrong?

In the philosophy of science, the concept of deduction plays a pivotal role. It involves deriving conclusions from premises, ensuring that if the premises are accurate, the conclusion necessarily follows. For example, if all birds have wings, and penguins are birds, then we can infer that penguins have wings.

However, if someone has sold something real - like a sack of potatoes - to a counterfeiter, the seller may assume that their wealth has increased and act accordingly. But that's not the case! Counterfeiting thus causes individuals to base decisions on false premises. Decisions made under such flawed assumptions are unlikely to lead to prosperity. Instead, they may result in economic stagnation or more severe adverse outcomes.

The Soviet Union had Trofim Lysenko. His theories claimed that traits acquired during an individual's lifetime could be inherited by offspring, contradicting the (more accurate) Mendelian genetics that emphasized the heritability of traits. Lysenko's ideas influenced Soviet biology and led to erroneous assumptions and failed experiments, hindering the Soviet Union's economic progress. During China's "Great Leap Forward" under Mao Zedong, one intention was to increase agricultural production. However, (incorrectly) advocating for the extermination of sparrows and other pests resulted in severe ecological consequences. False assumptions then led to mass famine and diseases, culminating in one of the deadliest periods in China's modern history.

Counterfeiting will lead to mistaken assumptions

Money acts as a technology facilitating human coordination and decision-making. Counterfeiting disrupts this by introducing false premises into decisions regarding consumption, investment, and other economic activities. Thus, it's critical to address counterfeiting not just for its immediate effects but also to consider its broader implications on economic coordination.

However, perhaps we should broaden our analysis even further. The central bank, as well as large corporations and billionaires ("cantillionaires") who receive favorable terms from commercial banks, will also be able to exchange newly created money for real goods (such as potatoes) in return for something that may not be worth anything. (The extent of the problem depends on how the newly created money is used.)

Karl Marx used the concept of "false consciousness" to describe how social classes can internalize beliefs that do not serve their own interests. While the term was never used by Marx, but by Engels, it may be applicable to our current monetary system. Marx argued that by maintaining such false consciousness, the ruling class could retain their power and control over society.

Most of us now swim happily - like fish in water - amid the fiat currencies effortlessly created by central banks and commercial banks. But doesn't this mean that we too risk drawing conclusions from erroneous assumptions, reminiscent of Marx's idea of "false consciousness"? And if so, what does this imply for our countries' economic prospects?

The end of the Bretton Woods system accelerated legal counterfeiting

Many, including Peter Thiel in "Zero to One", have pondered what actually transpired around the beginning of the 1970s. Asset prices began to soar, real wage growth stagnated, technological progress slowed down (at least compared to the hopes of that time). Simultaneously, a towering income and wealth inequality started to emerge.

Coincidentally, it was also around that time when the United States unilaterally and "temporarily" stopped tying the dollar to something real (i.e., gold). The end of the Bretton Woods system allowed this legal counterfeiting to take off in earnest, arguably leading to a plethora of decisions based on invisible yet sometimes faulty premises. Without these mistaken assumptions, perhaps we could have witnessed an economic renaissance of unprecedented magnitude...

"We have been naive," is a common sentiment express in Sweden's public discourse when something has gone awfully wrong. Could this also apply to our money? Perhaps we should consider making money "real" again?

The concept of the "Four Horsemen of the Infocalypse " was coined in 1988. It describes how arguments relating to child pornography, terror, drug trafficking, and money laundering are systematically used to restrict anonymity and privacy. The recurring argument that "we must do something for the sake of the children" has been satirized in the TV series The Simpsons .

Despite all measures, a new report shows that the system against financial crime is in practice ineffective - it neither reduces the occurrence of crime nor the volume of money laundering. According to research , the regulations affect the criminal economy by less than 0.1 percent. A Nordic bank is suspected of having laundered up to 800 billion euros - a sum equivalent to the financing of hundreds of thousands of major terrorist attacks. At the same time, the major bank JPMorgan in the US could have the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as a customer for years - despite applicable regulations.

Almost 200 mobile phones belonging to visitors to Epstein's infamous "pedophile island" have been traced to the individuals' homes or workplaces - without the authorities acting. Instead, documents are concealed.

In the UK, an independent review has identified that systematic sexual exploitation of British children has occurred in at least 85 different places - also here without the authorities reacting with force. The person who initiated the investigation has, however, been investigated for alleged misconduct, but has been cleared of the suspicions.

Almost every new law, regardless of whether it is motivated by "the best interests of the children" or "security," follows the same pattern: the four horsemen are used as rhetorical tools to justify restrictions on privacy - and this seemingly without making either our children or ourselves any safer. Perhaps this is a perspective to keep in mind next time we hear that "we must do something for the sake of the children"?

All to the benefit of various intermediated¹ electronic alternatives.

The reasons for this trend include: - The costs associated with cash usage has been increasing. - Increased regulatory burdens due to stricter anti-money laundering regulations. - Closed bank branches and fewer ATMs. - The Riksbank's aggressive note switches resulted in a situation where they were no longer recognized.

Market forces or "market forces"?

Some may argue that the "de-cashing" of society is a consequence of market forces. But does this hold true? Leading economists at times recommend interventions with the express purpose to mislead the public, such as proposing measures who are "opaque to most voters."

In a working paper on de-cashing by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from 2017, such thought processes, even recommendations, can be found. IMF economist Alexei Kireyev, formerly a professor at an institute associated with the Soviet Union's KGB (MGIMO) and economic adviser to Michail Gorbachov 1989-91, wrote that:

"Social conventions may also be disrupted as de-cashing may be viewed as a violation of fundamental rights, including freedom of contract and freedom of ownership."

Letting the private sector lead "the de-cashing" is preferable, as it will seem "almost entirely benign". The "tempting attempts to impose de-cashing by a decree should be avoided"

"A targeted outreach program is needed to alleviate suspicions related to de-cashing"

In the text, he also offered suggestions on the most effective approach to diminish the use of cash:

The de-cashing process could build on the initial and largely uncontested steps, such as the phasing out of large denomination bills, the placement of ceilings on cash transactions, and the reporting of cash moves across the borders.

Include creating economic incentives to reduce the use of cash in transactions

Simplify "the opening and use of transferrable deposits, and further computerizing the financial system."

As is customary in such a context, it is noted that the article only describes research and does not necessarily reflect IMF's views. However, isn't it remarkable that all of these proposals have come to fruition and the process continues? Central banks have phased out banknotes with higher denominations. Banks' regulatory complexity seemingly increase by the day (try to get a bank to handle any larger amounts of cash). The transfer of cash from one nation to another has become increasingly burdensome. The European Union has recently introduced restrictions on cash transactions. Even the law governing the Swedish central bank is written so as to guarantee a further undermining of cash. All while the market share is growing for alternatives such as transferable deposits¹.

The old European disease

The Czech Republic's former president Václav Havel, who played a key role in advocating for human rights during the communist repression, was once asked what the new member states in the EU could do to pay back for all the economic support they had received from older member states. He replied that the European Union still suffers from the old European disease, namely the tendency to compromise with evil. And that the new members, who have a recent experience of totalitarianism, are obliged to take a more principled stance - sometimes necessary - and to monitor the European Union in this regard, and educate it.

The American computer scientist and cryptographer David Chaum said in 1996 that "[t]he difference between a bad electronic cash system and well-developed digital cash will determine whether we will have a dictatorship or a real democracy". If Václav Havel were alive today, he would likely share Chaum's sentiment. Indeed, on the current path of "de-cashing", we risk abolishing or limiting our liberties and rights, "including freedom of contract and freedom of ownership" - and this according to an economist at the IMF(!).

As the frog was unwittingly boiled alive, our freedoms are quietly being undermined. The temperature is rising. Will people take notice before our liberties are irreparably damaged?

Transferable deposits are intermediated. Intermediated means payments involving one or several intermediares, like a bank, a card issuer or a payment processor. In contrast, a disintermediated payment would entail a direct transactions between parties without go-betweens, such as with cash.

Economists have actually posited that a design criteria for a well-designed Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is to facilitate the phasing out of cash:

They say "the digital euro will complement cash", but have designed it to make abolishing cash easier. Funny that!

Edward Bernays is considered one of the founders of the field of public relations (PR). He combined mass psychology with psychoanalysis to influence public opinion and behaviour. According to Bernays, the noise of information constantly roars in America—referring to the constant stream of advertising and propaganda. Appealing directly to people's subconscious and emotions was essential for such an "consent engineer". His goal was to steer the subconscious without drawing attention.

Nearly a hundred years after his tobacco campaign, the entire world is constantly bombarded by words, today mostly through digital intermediaries. As early as 2012, Facebook (now Meta) investigated whether it could make users sad by manipulating their news feeds. The study, which violated ethical norms and guidelines, showed a clear deterioration in users' well-being.

The company Cambridge Analytica is reported to have been a key player in the US presidential election and the EU referendum in the United Kingdom in 2016. Using data from Facebook, the company built psychological profiles that could be used for political or commercial purposes. According to a former employee, people's "inner demons" were exploited.

Earlier this year, a controversial study was published showing that AI models were better than humans at persuasion. The models pretended to be everything from rape survivors to staff at secure housing facilities. The messages were tailored to match the target audience's personal profiles—exactly as Bernays recommended nearly a hundred years ago.

Using words to influence is not a new phenomenon. However, the scale, speed, and precision with which language can be used as a weapon is something new. In a new study, researchers used brain scanning and found that an AI model could predict how the human brain responds to different sentences. The same model was then used to generate entirely new sentences with the aim of activating or dampening brain activity. This also proved to be feasible.

In the future, they hope to use the system to treat depression and other conditions. The researchers' therapy has a dark twin. They hope that "sufficiently surprising and well-formed linguistic input" could cure depression. But the same algorithm that formulates a cure could, just as easily, formulate psychological poison.

Our diet is crucial for our well-being. Healthy eating habits reduce the risk of several diseases. But doesn't this also apply to our information diet? Perhaps the parade from 1929 never truly ended. It merely transformed: from a single street in New York to a global, uninterrupted, and individually tailored parade for an audience of eight billion.

In that case, protecting your information diet becomes the modern equivalent of not accepting candy from strangers. Do you prefer chocolate or licorice?

OpenAI lost ~$13 billion in the last quarter, but plans to spend $1400 billion more on "compute". When Sam Altman is asked about this by one of his investors, he becomes defensive and starts attacking short sellers (who aren't even present, and can't be).

Is it because things are going so well that OpenAI are seeking guarantees from the US government to more easily finance its enormous projects? And Nvidia seems onboard with this kind of begging (presumably for geopolitical reasons), given the recent statement by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.

According to Michael Cembalest at JPMorgan, AI has been responsible for 90% of the growth in S&P 500 capex since ChatGPT was launched. What happens to the US economy if the AI wave starts to falter? The Mag-7 companies comprise almost 40% of the S&P500. The credit risk in Oracle (5y CDS) is already at its highest in a couple of years.

Also: isn't it strange that Meta is making AI investments off its balance sheet? I remember how banks and financial institutions thought they were oh-so-clever with SPVs and other off balance sheet shenanigans before the great recession in 2008. However, accounting tricks can only be taken so far. The risk is still there.

Serious IT problems have once again affected large parts of the internet (Snapchat, WhatsApp, Signal, etc.). Last year it was due to CrowdStrike, this week it was due to Amazon outages.

In mid-July 2024, computers in large parts of the world were hit by serious IT problems. Massive disruptions followed at airlines, stock exchanges, and stores globally. Nearly 10 million computers were affected. Another common problem today is the leaking of user data.

The American telecom giant AT&T recently reported that data regarding 110 million of its customers’ call records (who called whom, where they called from, and when they called) had leaked out. This was the result of a breach in the cloud storage company Snowflake’s systems. Earlier in March, the same telecom company leaked 73 million customers’ data. An American company handling health records and insurance claims admitted in June that "a substantial proportion " of Americans’ data had been leaked, including medical records. Meta leaked details for [200]0 Facebook Marketplace accounts earlier this year.

In the league of IT security breaches, the company Yahoo currently holds the gold medal. They leaked three billion users’ data as early as 2013. However, this year’s breach at Snowflake appears to be even larger, potentially affecting 165 companies .

Leopold Kohr wrote in The Breakdown of Nations (1978) that "Wherever something is wrong, something is too big". Could this be the case?

What resulted in stranded travelers and non-functional store cash registers worldwide is the fact that the IT security company CrowdStrike is the market leader. A minor issue with them can quickly lead to global consequences. If companies and organizations had used a wider variety of systems, the scope of the problems would have been significantly smaller.

Similarly, IT leaks become so extensive because data is collected in single locations. If data were largely stored across different systems, placed in separate locations, the scope of the leaks would have been far more limited.

A more effective way to handle the problem of IT leaks is to avoid collecting data. The government’s decision not to proceed with a Swedish "super register" is one such example. Data that has not been collected cannot leak. However, within the EU, a register is also under investigation that could become even more "super" than the Swedish one. A wide range of assets could eventually be registered : bank accounts, real estate, vehicles, artworks, and precious metals. Why not jackets as well?

In Sweden, the Riksbank and "private" banks will also eventually be able to keep "tabs on all" citizens’ transactions with e-krona (a central bank digital currency). Coincidentally, the Riksbank collaborates with the IT security company TietoEvry, whose flaws in early 2024 led to massive IT disruptions, feared data leaks, and police reports .

"Socialism means keeping account of everything. You will have socialism if you take stock of every piece of iron and cloth", said Vladimir Lenin 1917. From an IT security perspective, however, the optimal approach would be to completely avoid "keeping account".

And if our so-called leaders still wish to collect data, we should hope they are sensible enough not to put all their eggs in one basket.

At first glance, this might seem true. But the implication is that there’s nothing special about certain paintings and statues, about love, or about our brains. But perhaps there is?

Categorization removes the mystique from concepts and brings them back to the mundane and perhaps more comprehensible. But it also carries risks. If we uncritically accept Sutskever’s hubristic definition of our brains, we risk not only drawing flawed conclusions about AI policy. By reducing the brain to a computer, we elevate the machines to our equals while downgrading ourselves to machinery. If we accept that our brains can be equated with silicon components, doesn’t every child’s first laugh become an algorithmic product? Doesn’t free will become merely an illusion?

Taylorism reduced humans to cogs in the industrial machine starting around 150 years ago. This proved detrimental to both workers and companies in the long run. The mechanistic view of humans as mere "resources" – an idea Taylorism institutionalized – was later condemned by the Catholic Church : "(...) to misuse men as though they were things in the pursuit of gain, or to value them solely for their physical powers - that is truly shameful and inhuman" wrote Pope Leo XIII.

Just as we wouldn’t judge Friedrich’s painting solely through pigment analysis, experience the David statue via a measuring tape, or conflate love with a prescribed dosage, we should likely be wary of reducing the brain to a mere computer.

While the forestry industry sees pine trees as cubic meters of timber, biology describes you as a complex organism made of water and carbon. Both are right – and both are wrong. Even if our definitions can never capture the entirety of reality, they risk leading us astray.

The cost of an overly superficial understanding, of insufficient humility, or of disproportionately high trust in experts, may prove greater than we imagine.

The price might ultimately be our own humanity.

The European Central Bank (ECB) aims to launch the new digital euro as early as October 2025. In both documents and speeches, this central bank digital currency (CBDC) is equated with cash. For example, they describe the digital euro as "a digital form of cash."

But is this truly the case? It has previously been documented that such currencies or payment systems can be programmed or controlled. This could mean, for instance, that money could have expiration dates, be restricted from purchasing certain goods and services, or be limited to specific geographic areas. Such money could also enable record-low interest rates: funds could "rot like potatoes", an idea some economists have dreamed of for a century. The possibilities are nearly endless.

Agustín Carstens, former head of the "central bankers' central bank", the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), has admitted that central bankers tend to talk about CBDCs as equivalent to cash, but that there are enormous differences:

According to critics, central banks actually lack all credibility when claiming to protect privacy rights, especially over time. The fact that the Swedish Transport Agency already revokes numerous people’s driver’s licenses on extremely flimsy grounds (such as blood tests) is worth noting in this context, as is the EU’s mass surveillance proposal, Chat Control 2. This latter proposal likely violates the right to private and family life enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights. On closer inspection it might even appear as if the power elite are engaged in a concerted effort to erode fundamental human rights, both in Europe and elsewhere.

ECB President Christine Lagarde has claimed that "cash is here to stay". This comes even as other experts argue that a key condition for a "well-designed CBDC" is its ability to "to facilitate the gradual obsolescence of paper currency". How are we to reconcile these positions?

A recent research study examined whether the proposed digital euro could serve as a replacement for cash. The findings unequivocally show that the idea of the digital euro being equivalent to cash "is rejected".

The Digital Euro cannot fully mimic the role of physical cash, particularly in offline and privacy-sensitive contexts. As a result, the hypothesis that the Digital Euro is an electronic equivalent of physical Euro cash is rejected.

When using cash, the user generally remains anonymous. While a €20 note is always a €20 note, this does not hold true for so-called digital cash. A neighbour’s digital €20 unit can be distinguished from yours. Your money could be assigned a lower or higher value than your neighbours'.

We should ask ourselves why the central bank insists on comparing the digital euro with cash - given that the proposed system is fundamentally different. Indeed, why does the ECB insist on gaslighting European citizens? And we might also ask ourselves why so few mainstream media outlets critically examine and fact-check these erroneous claims.

"The difference between a bad electronic cash system and well-developed digital cash will determine whether we will have a dictatorship or a real democracy." said cryptographer David Chaum as early as the 1990s. What if he was onto something?

The Dutch ethologist Niko Tinbergen was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1973 for his studies of animal behaviour patterns. While earlier scientists had primarily focused on learning as the main explanation for animal behaviour, Tinbergen instead emphasised instincts.

Tinbergen studied, among other things, what makes newly hatched bird chicks beg for food from their parents. This was investigated by presenting parentless chicks with various painted beak models to see which ones they would seek food from. Several objects proved more popular than real gull beaks.

Artificial eggs were also created and placed in bird nests. Black-headed gulls that received wooden eggs before laying their own were found to actually refrain from laying real eggs. Fake eggs were painted in different colours and patterns, and made in various sizes. The gulls always preferred trying to incubate eggs of absurd sizes – for example eggs with eight times the volume of real ones. The poor gulls made desperate attempts to sit on these giant eggs – but often slid off.

The explanation for the gulls’ self-destructive behaviour was that they had a hardwired ability (instinct) to respond to specific stimuli (appearance of beaks and eggs with particular colours/sizes). Researchers exaggerated these stimuli, creating stronger but ultimately misguided reactions. The concept of "superstimuli" was hatched. Nothing in the gulls’ evolution had prepared them for these experiments, explaining their self-destructive behaviors.

Psychologist Deirdre Barrett has translated this concept to a human context. She argues that superstimuli govern human behaviours much like they do other animals’, citing junk food consumption, addictive social media use, and pornography consumption as examples. Nothing in Homo sapiens’ evolution prepared us for modern society’s stimuli, which might explain our frequently self-destructive behaviours.

When the Liberal Party (Swedish political party Liberalerna) proposes mandatory porn filters on all mobile phones "to protect children and youth," it might appear they’re on the right track. However, these issues deserve more profound discussions.

How do we create technical solutions that meet our fundamental needs for health, education, and human connection – rather than just supplying mindless scrolling entertainment? How can we ensure those collecting our data don’t exploit it for their own interests, selling us things we don’t need? Is the current model of centralisation, corporate giants, and profit maximisation really compatible with our best interests?

In summary: How can we ensure future technology serves our real needs, rather than mislead us - much like Niko Tinbergen deceived the poor gulls?

The proposal means all communications will be automatically scanned in real time - a violation of Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: "No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation". With Chat Control 2, you are presumed guilty until the opposite has been proven.

The financial system has been increasingly regulated. The stated pretext is to combat organized crime and terrorist financing. However, progress has been virtually nonexistent. In e.g. Sweden, associations and congregations are denied bank accounts. People cannot even transfer money between their own accounts. Your money is not yours until the opposite has been proven.

Five years ago, European citizens’ right to free movement was restricted. The pretext then was public health. In France, people were not allowed to leave their homes without “approved reasons.” The EU’s regulation on digital COVID certificates was introduced in 2021. Without a valid certificate, you were excluded from significant parts of public life. You were deemed contagious until the opposite had been proven.

In parts of Canada, residents are currently not allowed to go into the woods for biking, camping, fishing and so on. The stated pretext is to prevent wildfires. The fine for violating these restrictions is a whopping 25,000 Canadian dollars. One man has already been fined almost 29,000. Nova Scotians are apparently flammable, until the opposite has been proven.

We have shifted from being trusted to being constantly questioned, from speaking and publishing freely to showing our documents - at an ever-greater number of checkpoints, whether virtual or not. Chat Control 2, digital ID systems, pandemic management, and anti-money laundering rules invert the natural legal order. Our rights are made conditional - but rights requiring permission are nothing but privileges.

The presumption of innocence, a fundamental tenet of justice, holds that an individual is deemed innocent until the opposite has been proven. This cornerstone principle, codified in the Magna Carta in 1215, is being eroded year by year.

No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land.

I keep seeing posts about recruiting more people from other social media to post about things other than bitcoin on nostr.
The problem with that is there are already so many on here doing that but posting into the void at times.
It reminds me of the company that only hires externally and doesn't promote from within. Or the sales department that only goes after the glengarry leads instead of nurturing the sale that was already made..

The answer seems to be a lot.

I remember the recent "pandemic" where everybody was presumed ill unless they could prove otherwise - a first in world history I believe (correct me if I am wrong). The presumption of medical innocence was abolished..
