My best guess is these mislabeled .MOV files are some variant of that.<br/><br/>:HoloNani: Western consumer OSes just see that and think &#34;Oh Quicktime!&#34; But QT was not available for IRIX. So it would make sense in those early years for platforms without QT to simply use the same extension since it just means &#39;movie&#39;.<br/><br/>:HoloHmmm: If I get some extra time, it will be interesting to get an IRIX environment running and see if those files play natively there.
