1. Vote blue up and down the ballot, and convince others to do so too. The best-case is preempting fascism from fully taking hold, and that means electing the viable opposition party regardless of how flawed you find them.

Another big difference I'd point out is that we are allowed, and encouraged, to call out the atrocities of Russia and Iran and every other comparable case I can think of.

It is *only* in the case of Israel, it seems, where opposing the atrocities committed faces significant pushback - to the point of criminalization - from our governments.

The part I'm pushing back on is your response to Dan. I don't think it was a fair given his point is valid.

More generally though, the more different the groups being compared are (IDF and Russia, for instance) the less your argument holds. If the IDF is the most egregious case, it could make sense to call them out individually.
