Yup exactly.

Our projects specialise in tracking variants of specific viruses (useful for questions regarding vaccines, drug resistance, etc.)

Big advantage is that it samples a large population while being completely anonymised (we sample at the treatment plant level) is less biased (everybody shits and showers) and much cheaper than large scale population testing campaigns.

in the future, if again you find yourself needing more recent versions of software than Debian carries, it might be worth checking openSuse Tumbleweed.

It's a rolling distro (so very recent versions of everything), but the team at openSuse spends lots of time integrating everything together and running tests to ensure it's stable.
Compared to other rolling (e.g.: I run Arch Linux on other machines) it's much more stable.

Plus they don't force snap or AI.

Though "E2E" is very relative - technically such scheme can only be trusted as much as said end-points - which is hard given than none of the Apps by Meta are open source.

In lots of languages the names themselves of animal are gendered. In German (and several slavic language) the word "cat" itself is a feminine gender noun.
So by default lots of German or East European would go "She's beautiful" (just like English people and ships).
BTW: how is it in Spanish? (it's masculine gender noun in the latin languages I know: French and Italian)

It's a container (roughly similar to docker) inside which you run some LineageOS (it's based on AOSP - the opensource bits of android) and install microG (open source reimplementation of the Google Play Services that lots of App rely upon) and Aurora (opensource reimplementation of Google Play Store)

It's a highly technical weapon.
And once you start to try restricting higher education to rich white failsons, try to cut funding to universities, and in general wage a "war on education", I am not sure how long you'll be able to have the necessary highly skilled workforce to keep the nukes functional.

As a recent example that attracted some attention during the pandemic: the french prof. Didier Raoult who turned out to have inflated his ranking by massively publishing low quality paper in journals headed by his acquittances and citing each others.

imho Sergey Brin and Larry Page didn't really realise much: they merely reused the same kind of citation-based metrics that was all the rage in Academia for evaluating journals, researchers and institutions.
This could seem breakthrough to general public who only knew Yahoo, but PageRank is really just a very derivative "Impact factor, but on the INTERNET!"
So much so that both are susceptible to the same attacks:

problems solved: it works mostly on its own. It takes 5h instead of 2h as it's less efficient, but it's 5h during which I don't even need to be in the house (or could work).

Bonus: as most of these robots are flat, they easily vacuum under furniture.

Even more useful if you own pets and need to vacuum the shedded fur daily.

But result will depend on the clutter, the amount of furniture blocking the way, the algo used by manufacturer / gen, and extras like self-cleaning

I would recommend considering ThunderBird for e-mail and in perculiar the TbSync and EAS-4-TbSync addons to handle connecting tp Exchange mail aervers.
Both academic institutions I work with switched to MicroSoft 365 and these addons have saved me to keep accessing Calendats etc.

One also needs:

1- drivers which usually come as proprietary blobs (on a myriad of additional partitions)

2- additionnal services and API that most apps rely on, usually Google's proprietary Play Services (though there's microG, an open source implementation of the same API)

(and obviously apps, but here F-Droid can provide some alternatives)

in my experience with editing code on a chromebook-class Linux laptop (PineBook Pro) even the simpler Kate has enough bells and whistles for most common tasks (e.g.: syntax highlighting).

Regarding RAM: it might be worth looking into Zswap (a compressed cache that stand between you app's RAM and the actual swap on disk).
