Never said anyone became different internally. It's not really about that. I guess it's more of a subtle theme over time that's used to supplement the main theme of valuing the peaceful unchanging everyday and fantasy, but changing form isn't viewed as a good thing even if the personality stays the same. A lot of value is also placed on maintaining the meanings of youkai and gods and the like even if it's a peaceful era. It's a weird aspect, hard to really describe. Again it's unimportant if you're not as deep into this as me. Do whatever you want and see it however you want. I'm just a bit brain damaged and stuck in this mindset.

I'd say it's acceptable. Fairies aren't commonly associated with harvest in the series, but it's not like they aren't associated with harvest either. Without fairies harvests would definitely be worse, you'll probably see it later in the fairy manga but fairies directly contribute to the growth of nature and can even accelerate it. So far the series hasn't had any direct crop related fairies, but that's no reason you couldn't make one. After all, there's games full of original girls based upon the existing world. Gotta make sure to keep some level of mischief though, if all she does is help humans with harvests you're getting closer to a harvest goddess rather than a fairy. Maybe have her frequently take some for herself or something.

Ronnie21093 (nprofile…88vs) Hm, I’ll not really get into it too deeply. There is an incompatibility with one of the main aspects of Touhou though, that is valuing what you are as you are. Basically, monsterization or anything of any kind would be a big no-no in official Touhou. Note that that’s just my opinion on the value of the series and one of the official elements, despite it being an official thing you can easily bypass it. Many doujins have Marisa become a magician. You can do whatever you want. Touhou is malleable by intent. ZUN makes Touhou more as a canvas to work from than a strict guideline.

There’s a lot of options, more than I’m aware of

So for this, I wouldn’t even know where to start for suggestions really. Only major restriction would be that you should probably avoid fairies that would be really rare due to a lack of life. Ice for example, or Hell. I think the Three Fairies of Light are also a little weird for representing more abstract nature. The series has at minimum sunflower fairies, big fairies (generic), fairies (generic), rain fairies, maid fairies, apparently “chief fairies” are a type now, zombie fairies (not actually undead), and quite a few more. Note that butterfly fairies are not included, Larva is very special and likely more god than fairy. Could go over the Touhou Wiki page to see most of what have appeared for fairies. Also completely silly and intrusive thought that’s struck me, not that you need any more ideas for things to commission I’m sure, if you ever wanted to be silly you could get a comm of your OC MGE fairy and Star Sapphire doing an outfit swap. :cirno_heh: I’m not really one to think the two series should mix personally, but I’m also not going to hold an opinion so strongly that I’d oppose the art existing. I can live perfectly fine knowing some really weird stuff exists in terms of Touhou (except East Vegeta, I will die on the hill of that being poorly written for a Touhou doujin because it just wants to give Vegeta victories, it’s a nitpick but I really think the author is far more a Dragon Ball fan than a Touhou fan). I swear my brain gets filled with the strangest creative thoughts at utterly random times. Usually whenever I don’t need to think about them.

This might sound dumb, but I have an explanation as to how I think of this based on how I hear and see Chinese and Japanese as different (very much in my opinion). I think Japanese is just a very soft language, a lot of sharp sounds aren't there. Meanwhile Chinese has a lot of sharpish sounds. Softer sounds just overall sound better on the ears.

Haven't really gone all in on memorizing the basic characters yet but it kinda makes sense seeing them. A lot of (admittedly not all that used in English anyways) sounds that just aren't there, r and l are merged, three of the w characters have been entirely obsoleted (I only thought about this further thinking about the fact Tewi's name is Tewi, but the character for "wi" is no longer used so it's pronounced "tay" for simplicity of an english way to pronounce it, "Teii" would be more accurate I guess). It's kinda interesting. I have definitely thought about the details of why the language is the way it is a bit more than I've spent actually memorizing it. I might be a little retarded. :thinkinghrr:

A slight bigger problem is that most other sources are far harder to use. The nyaa GAP torrents are all lucky to have one seeder in a night and unless you can find the info elsewhere it's impossible to know what you're downloading off just a title when most of the official sites died years ago. I will not go into chinese sources because to access them you practically have to be chinese and provide them with unique rips of stuff to get in.

Archive though is pretty well stocked but most of it is the stuff that truly was destined to become lost. Early android APKs, flash videos, and demos/trials.

Especially one like Lily White when she's in her element in the proper season, that girl can even give some youkai a difficult time when the spring has arrived.

If she gets hooked on playing in the bed, you'll be fighting to keep up with her desires. Of course with fairies also being childish in nature it's impossible to know whether she'll use up all that energy or just pass out.

Doing it after a prank is frankly just not reasonable, fairies live in nature and any prank they pull would come with an escape plan or they'd already be flying. Once a fairy is in her home it's impossible to find from the outside. Plus, unless it's one of the more unique fairies, the prank would likely just be a tripping hazard or something.

Thought is to encounter a fairy in a manner that can bring about such a thing, it'd need to be a special encounter. Probably best way to go about it would be encountering a fairy who has ended up in a crawlspace within the home somewhere. Rain fairies would be the most common ones to do this though that doesn't exclude others from messing around a bit (so long as they aren't causing harm nobody will really punish a fairy too harshly). :cirno_think: This is as far as I can really think about this though, writing a whole thing about it would be a whole other mess that involves bridging the gap between a fairy or fairies caught in the home and actual romance.

Well, once again Sekibanki doesn't hold much interest in socializing. Or rather, maybe she does. It's just hard for such an introverted loner to get along with anyone. Ronnie21093 (nprofile…88vs) Ranking is a bit much, but evaluations I can do. I wont write it for all of them but assume unless specified that the fairies might need time to learn about relationships and motherhood for a bit. These things aren’t exactly common for a fairy to know about.

Let’s start with the easier ones, first Eternity Larva. Easier? I have poor judgement. She’s a god who chose to hide away as a fairy to provide another fight against Okina a completely normal fairy with absolutely nothing else going on. She’s weirdly relaxed for a fairy which has no reason whatsoever, even if she usually acts as playful as the others. She’s also way more knowledgeable than the usual fairy, can’t tell why. Probably one of the more capable ones who would understand and be able to handle being a wife and mother. Only problem you’d have is her current form nature as a fairy with a summer focus kind of becomes a shut in during the winter.

Daiyousei! An actual easy one. She’s your typical fairy for the most part, a simpleminded and constantly joyful prankster. She has a little more to her though, as she has shown concern for Cirno when playing together. Dai would be a little unprepared for things like marriage and motherhood, but she could handle it. Her care would shine through.

Lily White is some of the same as Daiyousei, but with an added love of spring and heralding of spring. That might help a bit with the motherhood bit, not sure. Spring is the season of life and birth after all. Also contrary to what people think, she’s not a shut in outside of spring. Spring is just the only time she does the big yell. She also, weirdly for a fairy, actually doesn’t have the desire for tricks or pranks. She’s just happy to be around and is even on good terms with most humans (shrine maidens who want to shoot her not included) so it’d be easier at least to get involved with her.

Oddballs are starting here, Cirno. She’s the most defined of the fairies and quite a full character. She’s dumb, arrogant, loves pranks, thinks she’s the absolute best, and cute. Ice is not a natural element for a fairy notably, as fairies are defined by life in nature while ice is notably often considered a lack of life in nature. Still, these oddities make her strong and kind of nice to be around. She would act as a hero merely because she believes she’s strong enough to be one. That is to say, she’d be a scatterbrained wife who really would be hard to keep calm but she would be very passionate. Probably would fight people (and lose) to argue you’re the best husband because the strongest would obviously get with the best. Motherhood would be mostly her teaching the children how to act similar to her, which means you’re probably doing most of the parenting. She would at least care a lot about her children.

Clownpiece! She’s weird in a completely different way. Turns out there’s a one in a million chance of a hell fairy coming into existence. Being born in such a strong area, she’s far stronger than a standard fairy and slightly more intelligent still not at Eternity Larva’s levels though, turns out being a god means something. She’s got odd tastes formed by being around Hecatia and living in hell for a while. Though her personality is much like other fairies, she does have quite a bit of thought put into her actions. Unless it involves hell, in which case she sets the Hakurei Shrine on fire again because hell is rad. Anyways she likes chaos but is also a fairly intelligent fairy, so for the most part she’d be an interesting wife who might want to see what you look like when you go mad. As a mother? Your children are all going to be wearing tacky Welcome Hell brand shirts.

Three fairies are going to be in nonsense order because I don’t know how to sort. Star Sapphire is scary. She’s got the standard fairy nature, but with tons of common sense and a horrifyingly scheming mind. She is the first to run and last to arrive at a scene. Honestly, even if she is a weak fairy, she’s going to be controlling in the relationship. A brat to the end. She definitely knows about relationships and motherhood and would tease you constantly. She also likes stuff people might find strange. As a mother, she’ll probably be fine but she will use it to tease you and get the kids to tease you too.

Luna Child is a gamble. She greatly enjoys human stuff, including reading human works. Loves coffee too. While Luna keeps up the fairy mindset, she’s almost overridden it with her enjoyment of playing human. Still will partake in pranks, but is far clumsier when it comes to such things. Whether she knows about romance is questionable, but she definitely doesn’t know anything further. She will be woefully unprepared but try her best to be a proper mother and wife (also fun fact, since Luna can erase sound she’d probably erase her own moans out of embarrassment).

Sunny is well, Sunny. She’s your standard fairy. It’s weird to say, but she’s the least predictable. She’s a leader, but she’s not really got some specialization into non-fairy attitudes like the others. Instead she just does the typical of loving pranks and messing with refracting light. Cheery and lighthearted. Never brought down by anything. It’d be hard to ever be sad with her as a wife. As a mother, she’d just power through with her normal attitude.

For sake of special mention, Lily Black isn’t considered a separate character by ZUN, but if you were to consider her one she’s basically just a caretaker for Lily White more often than not. Essentially already acting like a mother or older sister. And no, I will not go over every single type of standard fairy because that’d be a mess and the reality is half the types of mob fairy are just normal fairies cosplaying for fun. Just take the Daiyousei statement and replace the caring nature with an interest in whatever part of nature that fairy has control over.

Happens. In MGE's case it seems to me this particular super niche was carved out from the start. The thing is basically a cookbook for OCs based on a topic that was already somewhat niche. It's for the best, it means far less idiots trying to show up and fuck everything up and fewer still who show up without getting kicked out right away, but it also leads to a problem of actually finding people to get into it.

It's not like finding writers with a Touhou interest is all too easy either, at least of those who speak english. https://www.thp.moe/ exists, though I haven't touched the place myself it seems to be relatively frequently used for writing. Not sure anyone there is actually open to taking prompts or not though beyond the occasional site-wide writing events that are seemingly thrown around.

Fairies are both easier and harder to write for since they’re so simple of girls. Nature given form living true to their desires, but still with individual personalities and the likes. Fairies do actually have long term memory though, and things like flowers live far longer when cherished by a fairy.

Helps that there are all kinds of fairies for all kinds of natural phenomenon (things associated with a lack of life excluded, Cirno is extremely unique as an ice fairy. Fairies taking part in places like Former Hell or whatever are just cosplaying, which is quite common for fairies to do, proper Hell has no fairies and Clownpiece is an anomaly). Could have stories about all kinds from the sunflower fairies to the rain fairies.

It's the day of the "leader" of the Three Fairies of Light! Well, as far as she can be called the leader. She often does lead them into the pranks, but the scheming is more Star's area. Whatever, Sunny is cute regardless. A fairy to her core, she never thinks too hard about anything. She just does whatever she finds enjoyable and runs away when punishment arrives.

Some more Lily White for the coming of spring. She’s always so excited to share all her love for the season, it’s hard not to love her. Her shouts reach the ends of the world and bring about the cherry blossoms of which could be seen as perfect beauties. Spotting her in flight should be considered a good omen, for she is at her fastest and strongest within the coming of spring.

It’s the best we’ve got. It’s also quite obvious this track is a lead in to the Prismriver’s performance. Still when arranged well, it can take on a life of spring.

She's popular sure, but most of her depictions are the extremes of either being a violent angry destructive girl or being a pure mindless child. Both are wrong, but the popular view wins out over anything else most of the time.

Ronnie21093 (nprofile…88vs) LolikingSama (nprofile…v8fs) I am slightly tempted to just drop TKmiz's Flan stuff right here, but I'm not that cruel (the man is capable of even making Flan getting fucked seem melancholic, that's powerful).

Anyways while I'd say I do have some doujins I really like with Flan, none of it is really romance and most are non-h anyways. H stuff is fine, but very little of it feels worth linking, a lot of the basics that you could get easily yourself by just grabbing the Flan tag on any given h site. A usual problem of romance being uncommon for a doujin plot. Needless to say I don't feel like linking yuri stuff either.
