I'm not that convinced about it being SUVs, regular cars, especially electric ones are getting heavier.

But the major factors are low County and District budgets and the increasing rainfall in both Winter and Summer.

The National budget for managing roads is adequate but means almost continuous maintenance.

I think the kinds of things that will undermine and disintegrate the Reform Party are:
Violence by avowed supporters
Criminal damage by avowed supporters
Reform councillors caught in fraud.
Reform councillors refusing to treat with local press
Reform councillors failing to meet legal obligations as councillors, or the whole Council
Reform MPs fighting over expenses.

Many of these are already in play.

People breaking into your house is not about equality and it's a peculiar preoccupation. Is this a likely event and if they did break in whilst you slept how likely are you to be able to defend your property and selves, whether you have weapons or not?

The BBC ran All the President's Men late last night. The difference, of course, between 72/73 and 2025 is that Nixon, his Germans and ex CIA black ops guys did it all in secret and it took relentless journalists and almost as secret whistle blowers and informants to put it all together; Trump and his Plastic Pal (who's no fun to be with) do it all right out in the open.

That is a demographic trap. Higher multiplier mortgages don't frighten those that believe they have the prospects of higher (joint salaries) going on into the future.

It is a barrier both for the less confident and those that feel stuck below a £30k salary and don't see a way toward higher, even moderate earnings.

In that sense I don't think a cap would make that much difference. Interest rates definitely do.

I think Kretinsky might claim that his existing investments in the UK are within the UK. It's no secret that the cost of running parcels is providing the Universal Service.

If as part of this they can renew the local service of direct post delivery which isn't just about getting letters and spam but a human social network. It should probably be partly financed that way.

Growth that's less than inflation is bound to be shrinkage, that's been true since around mid-2016 (I wonder why that is). That's simplistic of course.

I (whoever I think I am) predicted recession after leaving and, across a background of global recession, depression for large parts of the UK.

One factor that jiggled that was the pandemic which inflated one particular part of the global economy and suppressed the rest. Sustainable growth is hard, we continue to self harm.

I don't see any evidence of trickle down. I do see evidence of public investment. The increase in minimum wage will provide more liquidity for individuals whilst also harvesting that as EERS NI because the scale changes and that's more important than the rate.

However, small employers who largely employ low paid workers will also have higher allowances.

The stumbling block is that personal allowances don't go up until much later in the cycle.

It was exactly the way that most life ran, along a scale from minor appreciation to outright corruption for most civilised history in every culture.

And people still do favours socially and in work, walking a tight rope as they do.

It didn't change because of any revolution in ethics it changed because of the push against crime and that cascaded.

It is an improvement but it also pushed behaviour underground.

If it's finally an answer to populating Fancy Zones then that's a Good Thing, there's been an open issue on that forever.

If it's some other bollocks though instead I'll be unimpressed.

Fancy Zones let you template zones on the desktop, any virtual desktop. I have a template of 9 windows in an array each has a PowerShell window in it. I can automate creating the windows but I have to move them manually.
