It&#39;s a big problem since voles are hard to discourage and to trap. I have a lot of beans but it&#39;s still frustrating. <br/><br/>But yesterday while I was picking in the patch I startled (and vice versa) a big gopher snake. After I had taken a lot of deep breaths and my heart rate came down I stepped out and left it alone. &#34;Good snake. Vet reports he does indeed have significant heart disease, which would explain the terrifying fainting spells that brought us to the cardiologist in the first place.<br/><br/>Ironically it is probable that the steroids he was on to try to fix his gut issues were what made his heart trouble worse. ☹️<br/><br/>But now he has a variety of other heart drugs and blood thinners to take, and I hope that will help.
