Here&#39;s what they said - and what we&#39;re doing about it. <br/><br/>&#34;As a lesbian I feel marginalised and like I don&#39;t belong in a community that used to be very important to me. I feel ostracised and isolated.&#34; &#34;It feels like they jumped on our coattails but somehow managed to grab the steering wheel.&#34; These are verbatim responses from LGB people in our survey.<br/><br/>LGB stands for lesbian, gay and bisexual - people who are same-sex attracted. TQ+ covers gender identity, which is a distinct thing. Organisations that attempt to serve both often end up serving neither well - and in practice, tend to prioritise TQ+ constituents at the expense of LGB people.<br/><br/>In 2021, the government abandoned the aggregate term BAME following the Inclusive Britain report, which found it failed to reflect the differing needs of those it covered.
