Ja, eigentlich hab ich was gegen so Formulierungen wie "Frauen mit Sternchen" 🙈 aber die cis-normative Gesellschaft ist leider so :/

In der Warteschlange gabs einen terfy Moment wo dann eine unsympathische ältere Dame auf einige andere gezeigt hat mit den Worten "Das ist ein Mann!!!11elf"
Ich hab mich nicht getraut kontra zu geben (hauptsächlich wegen Voice Dysphoria), aber etwas leiser hab ich "ich seh hier keine Männer" gesagt.

Das Konzert selber war aber sehr schön.

When just taking the people into account who are 65 and older, the percentage is 24,5%.

So if you wanna exclude a bunch of people upfront with the stuff you build, then don't build with accessibility in mind :).

I often use "currentColor" as focus ring color; this way, the focus ring auto-adapts to the current color and has always enough contrast to the background (because you want to always make sure the content is readable). By default, it has the same color as the content, which can be a bit disadvabtageous to the visibility, but I usually also define a :hover,:focus color which fixes that.

At 10:10, she mentions how AI die-hards reason about using AI: "What's wrong with letting AI do the work for humans? Then you have time for other things". Other things like what exactly? There's a small update to pixelfedit, my little pixel font editor.

So, last time, I made it fully keyboard-operable. Now I also added basic screenreader support. It's a very visual tool, so it's still very unusable for fully blind screenreader users, but might work for low vision. It's for editing raster fonts in an 8x8 or 8x16 pixel matrix, so people would need imagination about glyph shapes. Inside the matrix, single pixels are anounced (eg it says "1 1 set" when the pixel at 1,1 is set).

"Stewardess disease" is a really bad name for a facial skin rash. I suffer from atopic dermatitis and it always gets worse during the winter months. And then I get really dry skin around the mouth which feels really unpleasant and doesn't look nice. The doctor advises to stop applying skin care products. yeah, strongly depends on how I dress. It usually doesn't happen when I wear a very feminine summer dress. However, in autumn I tend to wear jackets and the one I currently have is not that curvy. So unless I push up and emphasize and partly expose my curves and cleavage to the public I'm perceived male 🙈

Unpopular opinion: I don't see any value in having a button web component, no matter whether with a framework or with custom elements.

<button> already has all functionality built-in a button would require. The visual appearances, including button variants can be handled via CSS.

A button component may make it look more "architectured" (yay, you can omit the class attribute and brand it like MyCompanyButton), but it requires JavaScript to make it work. 🤷‍♀️
