🚨 La boutique physique Bitcoin Bazar fermera définitivement ses portes mercredi 13 Mai au soir.

Le site e-commerce reste lui parfaitement opérationnel et tous les bitcoiners ayant à coeur commander leur matos anonymement pourront continuer à le faire en payant en Bitcoin + choisissant la livraison en Locker.

Il vous reste donc 3 jours à partir de lundi 11 Mai pour venir faire vos emplettes et tout dévaliser pour ceux qui préfèrent venir sur place et payer en espèces, après il faudra faire le maigre effort de payer en sats pour les paiements cash via le site.

L'aventure de la boutique physique fut incroyable même si trop courte et idéalement ça aurait du durer encore. Mais parfois il faut savoir faire des choix et aller de l'avant.

Ça aura été quand même l'occasion de constater que les bitcoiners et autres défenseurs de la liberté sont légions, bien plus nombreux qu'on ne le croit.
Que la self-custody est un réflexe pour la majorité contrairement aux idées reçues, et que la protection de vie privée et de la propriétée tient à coeur à de plus en plus de gens. Et heureusement étant donné les véléïtés toujours plus totalitaires de nos étatistes favoris.

🚨 The physical Bitcoin Bazar store will permanently close its doors on the evening of Wednesday, May 13.

The e-commerce website will remain fully operational, and all bitcoiners who care about ordering their gear anonymously will still be able to do so by paying in Bitcoin and choosing locker delivery.

That means you still have 3 days starting Monday, May 11, to come shop in person if you prefer paying cash on-site. After that, you’ll have to make the tiny effort of paying in sats for cash-equivalent purchases through the website.

The adventure of the physical store was incredible, even if far too short, and ideally it would have continued longer. But sometimes you have to make choices and move forward.

It was still an opportunity to realize that bitcoiners and other defenders of freedom are everywhere — far more numerous than most people think.
That self-custody is second nature for the majority, contrary to popular belief, and that protecting privacy and property matters deeply to more and more people. Thankfully so, given the increasingly totalitarian tendencies of our favorite statists.
Don’t listen too much to the FUD. See the glass as half full. Adoption — the real kind, not ETFs, treasuries, and other forms of shitcoinery — keeps growing steadily. WGMI.

On my end it's not a problem but if you'd follow my account you'd see that your own feed is flooded by my product's publications right now, so it could be disturbing for you. But maybe it's actually how Nostr is supposed to work IDK.

The design of the website/client is pretty neat and it seems to work well. I like the V4V way of splitting profits also, going to set it up in 2% for you, it’s basically what Shopify charges.

Going to migrate my Shopify store on plebeian market actually, or to duplicate it actually, and try to promote it a bit.

I think there are still things to improve though, I’ ll glad to help with feedback of you need it.

We pleb still struggle to expose our self hosted BTCPay Server on Umbrel or Start9 to the clearnet, so we have to host it with Voltage or Lunanode etc...

For the YakiHonne address specifically I didn’t even know, it may have change automatically when I tried the client, this profile (which is not my main profile) was initially setup with my BTCPay server address given by Voltage. I don’t receive zaps tbh, I only send them.
Also I think LN addresses should be replaced by bolt12 offers for nostr to be complete.

To finish I don’t think billions of people will ever use bitcoin at all, I hope I’m wrong. 2 - people don't do tx within the Spark entity and just use it as a LN wallet. I know its still possible to find your spark adress through your LN invoice if you are technical enough. But as soon that they stop reusing address this almost stop being a concern because most of Spark txs are in fact LN swaps. So it breaks all deterministic links for an outsider.

But the main flaw come from the fact that they made the explorer public.
WoS could have also made their database public before bein on spark.
What I mean is that the problem come from a choice from this specific Spark entity not from the protocol itself.

Kind of agree but can't unsee the fact that HWs are the easiest way to reach a strong security without aquiring much knowledge first. Eventually the brave and knowledgeable bitcoiners needs liquidity to spend their sats p2p.
So the more people are onboarded thanks to easy and still secure tools, the more the "non weak" benefit from it by getting more freedom and then building even more freedome tools. It's a virtuous cicle. The network effect of Bitcoin is extremely important if we want bitcoin to work as intended (meaning end or at least shrink the State). But it's not suited for even the average bitcoiners and doesn't remove the fact that you still increase the risk of leaking enough info for an attacker to steal your funds if your setup is not good enough. Custom setup are way less secured than standard ones for many reasons.

Can relate. We have a physical Bitcoin shop in Paris. People continue to come buy their non KYC stuff on site, or online paying in Bitcoin to have privacy (associated with locker deliveries in many European countries).
Without the awful price action having major impact so far, people don't care so much it seems.

My 2 cents is that the current global environment of governmental threat (being all bankrupt they are becoming more and more dangerous) lead people to get interested in Bitcoin to protect themselves from theft.

The price drop is also viewed more and more as an opportunity even by noobs, not as a proof that bitcoin is dead.

We need a big spectrum of solutions adapted to everyone need. I don't think there will exist a perfect scaling solution one day, it's the sum of all of that small things alltogether that will achieve that.

If you can't get rid of your Bitcoin easily, in other words spend it easily, it's worth 0. So you can't ignore the "in person" purchases use case like that IMO

Les Bitaxes peuvent surchauffer en été si tu les pousses un peu trop.
Si t'es bricoleur tu peux améliorer leur système de refroidissement pour éviter ça ou sinon les down-clocker (directement faisable via l'OS) un peu le temps que la vague de chaleur passe.

Autrement oui c'est stable, j'en ai un paquet qui tourne depuis des mois sans problème hors surchauffe parfois.

Après dans tous les cas ce n'est pas rentable en pool en France à cause du prix administré par nos brillantes élites de l'électricité.

Si tu solomines ça te donne une chance sur 6 millions par jour soit presque 3 tickets de lotos par jour.
Ramené sur un an ça te donne une chance sur 20000 de gagner. Autrement dit miner 1 an avec un Bitaxe Gamma revient à jouer une fois à une loterie avec une chance sur 20000 de gagner.

Voilà pour les stats. Mais la démarche me semble essentielle.
Full node à connecter à son wallet, et participation même symbolique à la décentralisation du hashrate.
D'autant plus que si quelques millions de Bitaxes sont déployés dans le monde à terme, on arriverait à choper environ 1 à 3% du hahsrate (suivant le nombre de millions) quand même ce qui est pas si anecdotique.
