Not just a pattern I’ve noticed in others, but myself first and foremost.

The issue is, most of us focus too much on the skill, strategy, tools, techniques, plan…

Doing events is great training for entrepreneurship.

It's chaos which you need to bring into order.

You can plan as much as you want, but when an event starts you just roll with it, as things don't actually go to plan.

The first event, naturally was the most stressful.

Didn't really know what I was doing. Tried to make plans for every single little thing.

When things deviated, the stress just increased.

So when the speaking finally began, and the microphone stopped working, well...it was not comfortable at all having so many silent faces staring at you waiting 😂

Experience means letting go.

Because what you're letting go is the need for perfection, which means letting go of stress.

The irony being, if it is too formal, too perfect, too scripted, it becomes less relatable.

That's why we don't enforce dress codes or any other expectations.

You come as you are.
You meet people as you are.
You build relationships for who you are.

None of that pretentious chest-forward, polished drivel you get at most networking events.

I, like many of you, was conditioned to dislike attention. But "attention is currency"

Yeah we all cringe when gooorooos say that. However, there's an element of truth in it.

The post-career era rewards attention. All of these platforms are fighting for attention.

Media, government, big tech - all vying for attention.

Feels like err'one's been bangin' on about you needing a personal brand, why? Because it gets attention.

Most professionals cringe at the sound of personal brand.

But you need to reframe, personal brand is child's play.

Serious operators know they need to shift towards a full blown media company.

And as a media company you need distribution. Which brings you attention.

With that attention, you then solve problems, help people, provide value, and build your career.

You stay relevant in an AI age making seismic changes.

Yesterday, I talked about my March analytics.

One month means nothing. As a distribution system you need to zoom out and take a look at the compounding effect:

Approximately 3 million views across 5 platforms.

(Doesn't take into account the 2 other platforms I've posted on, nor the posting on brand accounts).

Some of you will remember when I was spoofin' 7-figuhhh-hustlaa a couple of years ago after surpassing a million on LinkedIn.

Being on one platform is dangerous: censorship, account removals and it's all gone.

As a media company you're not focusing on one platform; you're focusing on different distribution channels.

You're not comparing to what others are doing and getting.
You're building out assets that work for your circumstances.

You as a media company need visibility, which comes from distribution.

Most will tell you views don't matter, and they're vanity metrics.

Don't listen. Traditionally it used to cost millions in ad spend to get views.

You can now get them without spending a penny.

Views for the sake of views matter little.

But they're the first, most important part of your media distribution system.

Without views, doesn't matter how smart, intelligent, great at your job you are.

You become invisible.
You become stagnant.

Without views, doesn't matter how great your product or service is.

Nobody knows it exists. Nobody will use it.

I changed my strategy from 1-2 platforms only because I was looking at it like a "personal brand"

It's no longer personal brand, it's media company. And therefore MULTIPLE distribution channels.

My March numbers are approx. 163k views across different distribution channels.

With AI, this all becomes data that can be analysed. I've started vibe-coding a personal media intelligence platform.

So I'm practicing what I preach and ticking off the different skillsets I keep mentioning you all need to develop:

The longer you keep hoping it does, the longer you'll remain overlooked. So what do you do?

Stop thinking personal brand. Start thinking media company.

Because you are a media company no matter what your industry or field of expertise is.

You need to start behaving like it.

I repeat, there are 5 key skills you need to stay relevant in the AI age at minimum:

- Expertise in your field
- Proficiency in AI
- Problem-solving

This applies to individuals, whether employee or entrepreneur, and businesses whether big or small.

However, there's an element to be weary of if you decide to do the same.

And that's you will be held to a higher standard, but also you'll attract comments from peeps who won't like the religion being used for branding purposes.

It's also down to how quite a few are doing it all wrong by utilising over-hyped American style marketing.

Might work in America.
Doesn't work in the UK.
Certainly doesn't align with many Muslims' standards.

This is not to discourage it from happening.

But to just be ready for judgment, even if your intentions are pure.

The UK Gov has just launched a new £500M venture fund for AI founders.

With a £1T tech market, the UK has the largest AI sector in Europe.

If you were looking for signals as to why be optimistic about the UK, these are it.

Naturally, it's not just about learning AI.

You need a cross-sectional skillset as mentioned the other day.

AI means nothing without a problem solving mindset first and foremost.

Solve real problems using AI - don't just use AI for the sake of using it.

Strong communication skills become paramount.

As does visibility - you can have the best AI product, but if hardly anyone knows about it, it's not going anywhere fast.

I did 75-hard a few years ago, 75 days of activities including diet and 2 work outs a day etc. continued the gym for 90 days before lockdowns.

Another time I did 100 days in the gym in a row - the transformation doesn’t really hit until after day 65 for both times.

Works the opposite as well, with laziness and procrastination

At one point I genuinely did think it was over, and was about to dig in.

But can't be a 'Minotaur' challenge if there's no difficult minotaur to overcome.

Discipline in one area, leads to discipline in other areas.

Diet challenge aside, this is more a mental discipline exercise.

With all the shizzle poppin' off around the world, can easily get lost without discipline - which tbf I have faltered with.

Intelligent people and professionals are held back because they care about what people think.

I’m not sure if this was due to corporate programming or what.

But the fear stems from being judged by their peers.

It’s why you often see the “corporate, professional telephone voice” or demeanour which changes compared to how they are in person.

What holds them back further however, is not being able to admit to themselves they care about what people think.

And funnily enough they’ll be the ones with their chest out proclaiming they don’t care.

Recipe for disaster.

If you can’t admit to yourself you have an issue, how do you expect to fix it?

I speak from experience.

I used to say I don’t care what people think, when I clearly did.

Once I admitted it to myself, I was then able to work on doing something about it.

Honest self assessment is the first step.

Inner work is needed.

And then taking action to improve yourself.

Big numbers to some.
Small to others that get those with one piece of content.

Context matters - comparison will always make you lose.

It's no good me telling others you are a media company, if I don't back it up myself.

I am a media company, and this is my media distribution.

I've been a bit of a hypocrite - telling others to focus on 2 platforms maximum.

Whilst i'm active on 5-7 (more considering different brand accounts).

2 is the right move (unless you have a team). You'll get better results faster.

But i'm taking a risk on a different strategy.

I have small pockets of "influence" on different platforms - which collectively are now adding up.

I've switched from trying to go viral, to organic targeted volume.

The people coming to the events are not from 1 platform; they're trickling in from the different platforms.

There's a strategy on getting "1000" true fans, and you'll be set.

1000 true fans in that context is 1000 people buying your product or service.

I'm not after 1000 true fans. I'm after 1000 true partners, collaborators, action-takers.

Attempting to curate a high-calibre network; rather than just a large network.

If each of those 1000 have just 5 other high calibre contacts in their network; then it becomes solid network of 5000.

Repetition. Reputation. Relationships.

Repetition of content, to build reputation, leading to solid relationships.

This is why I keep bangin' on about visibility and communication.

A few years ago I had neither visibility, network and below par communication skills.

So much so when I opened up a law firm, and started other businesses, they went nowhere.

I was technically good at delivering. But if there's no work coming in, there's nothing to deliver on.

So as a shy, social anxiety ridden introvert, I did the uncomfortable shizzle of learning how to become visible after decades of trying to hide from the spotlight.

Most smart, intelligent professionals are in the same boat.

Fantastic at operations, delivery and completing high level work.
Which is great when the work is given to you.

But what happens when you have to find the work, client, customer yourself?

It's the lack of visibility, network and relationships that will destroy you.

But you’re right. You just have to keep doing it and then attract the right people.

It’s a numbers game. I’m builsing a community right now, the majority turn up to events or when it requires not much effort. Very few are doing day to day work - the focus has to be on them

This is the result of all those influencers and people that used Dubai as means to flaunt wealth, status and material success.

This will be the result for anyone that flaunts this; which happens a lot with online marketing.

The people ahead of you will lose respect for you.

Your peers will envy you.

The ones behind will resent you.

It’s bad energy you don’t need; and people will rejoice at your downfall when struggles come.

This type of marketing has becoming so dominant, that young people are following it and implementing.

Don’t do this.

Stay authentic.

The great disruption is on us, and we’re now already in the post-career era.

The traditional career route of school, university, profession, career ladder is over.

Having experienced that in the first part of my own career, that was already dying which is why I quit in the first place.

The post career era will be more individuals and small teams using AI and other skills to function as bigger outfits.

Which goes back to my video the other day about everyone now requiring cross-sectional skillsets.

The rate of change means bigger outfits will not keep up.

Therefore expecting them or anyone else to train you and prepare for this new future is folly.

You have to take ownership and train yourself across different areas.

You have to take ownership and lead yourself into different aspects.

(That is if the Epps-teeen Regime doesn’t wipe us all out before then)

I've posted 94 times since the start of 2026.

But it's not 94.

It's 94 pieces distributed across 5-7 different platforms.

There'll also have been duplicate uploads on different brands on social.

So technically it's 500-650 posts in about 2 months.

No social media team.
No ghostwriters.

And even though I use AI, I don't use it for my written content because I like writing and prefer my writing style.

Videos are all scripted, recorded, edited, and uploaded by me too.

And I do my best to reply and respond to every single comment I receive.

Sadly I can't respond to every DM I get, just not feasible with all the spam and pitches.

There is nothing magical about what I do.

It's just volume, discipline and an efficient system.

The majority are now videos, which is crazy considering I started out with a fear of being on camera.

Which brings me onto the point of this post...

...I still hear from people say they've "tried" social media and it didn't work.

When I ask how many times they've posted and how long; it's like 1-3 times a week on ONE platform, for a month or 2.

Most severely underestimate how much work it takes to break through the noise today.

This isn't just about social media. It's about building any project, business or side hustle.

There's nothing wrong with posting 1-3 times a week on one platform - as long as your expectations change from immediate results to long term play.

The issue comes from two things:

- Demanding QUICK results
- Fear of visibility

The latter is the real issue for professionals.

So much to offer and so much to say, but held back by the fear of how they'll be received.

So they tentatively post occasionally, on the pretext they're busy.

Overcome this fear, and trust me, you'll be whackin' out more than me.

Esp considering you have a lot of value to offer (you just talk yourself out of it being valuable because of that fear).

Your journey is yours, and it will take a long time no matter how much these online gurus try to sell you quick fixes.

Do the work. Overcome your Minotaurs. Enjoy the process.

Now I can’t unsee it.

Whilst this is tongue in cheek, the reason it hits because there is an element of truth.

I’ve been vocal about my experiences in the corporate world, I thought I was alone.

Turns out millions have been feeling the same, just never voiced it.

Boomers and Gen-X told you to get on with it.

Millennials, despite being deeply dissatisfied became split:

Some just carried on. Others tried to find alternate paths.

Gen-Z’s are already checked out from that system and are looking for different paths from the start.

Gen-Alpha are going to grow up in a world none of us can predict right now; most of us won’t even understand it.

What can be said however, is the corporate world won’t be the same in a few years time, let alone in a decade’s time.

I was kindly gifted The Barakah Effect book by Sister Feride McNeilly at the event.

It’s one of the books I’ve started reading recently; so far very much in line with my way of thinking given my very public outbursts about modern day systems and culture 😂

However that’s for another day.

Actually wanna give a shout out to Feride.

She courageously chose to step up on stage at the event and speak in front of a live crowd for the first time.

She mentioned her journey of battling cancer.

Prior to the event she told me she’s 50-50 on whether she can even attend due to her health.

So to actually get up on stage and speak is a phenomenal achievement, esp when clearly stepping beyond a comfort zone.

But self development and encouraging people to improve in different ways is what we’re trying to do.

Not only that, since joining Batley Entrepreneurship Club, she has been one of the more active members since the first workshop (just look at those notes on the notepad 😁)

Ultimately this is what it’s about.

Local stories.
Local struggles.
Local improvement.

It’s a simple formula:

Learn. Evolve. Contribute. Ascend with actions that benefit beyond immediate personal gain.

That’s the Minotaur Mastery philosophy in action, applied locally through Batley Entrepreneurship Club.

First stage is self-reflection.

Figure out who you are, who you want to become, and the life you want to live.

I speak from experience.

I left a job I hated, and ended up building a business I hated - which was worse.

Once you’ve figured out what you want from a life perspective, then you work on the income model to fit it.

Otherwise you just continue chasing the hamster wheel in a different format.

That doesn’t mean it’s easy and you’ll get what you want.

But it will be easier to reach a target you’re clear on, and actually want because it suits you as opposed to what you think society will give you status for.

Is your career or project what you want and giving you the life you want to live?

So much so, when Malaika attended the event a couple weeks ago, she was taken aback by the warm response she received from many other attendees who recognised her from that video.

Unfortunately we are not taking this issue seriously enough as a community.

Huge respect to Asif here who has been open about his struggles with health.

This is a comment you need to read again and again.

As with most things, you won’t take action until the situation becomes dangerous.

By then, it could well be too late.

This is certainly an area where more role models need to step forward and influence the next gen the right way.

Brand building shouldn’t just be for profit…

…but for impacting the community in a positive manner.

Therefore more health conscious brands need to step forward and be supported too.

One of the major pushbacks in the Batley food scene is the amount of rubbish that gets dropped in the streets after people go out to eat.

I discussed this with Phat Spuds, and NY Krispy owner Zahir Akbar, who said we need to take individual and collective responsibility for this.

He himself picks up any rubbish he sees with their branding, as that becomes a reputational issue.

The other food outlets are encouraged to do more as well.

This evil mofo explains a little about fractional reserve banking.

When someone comes all the way from Bahrain, the first thing you feel is incredible gratitude, honour and blessings…

…but then you’re hit with pressure and responsibility to deliver.

This was made infinitely easier due to Azam’s down to earth approachable warmth and the respect he gives.

OVERWHELMED! Only word to describe the love, support, feedback, energy, enthusiasm received from yesterday's event.

So grateful and blessed with how it turned out.

There are just markers which help determine whether an event is successful or not:

The live feedback and comments you get
The electricity and buzz in the room
The audience focus on the speakers
The quality of the Qs being asked by the audience

And people not leaving the building!

People started arriving at 5.30pm - typically by 9.30pm there's a drop off in numbers, as people want to get home.

This time we had a packed crowd all the way until 10pm - where we literally had to throw people out of Batley Town Hall 😂

Need to tally up, but early indications suggest approx. 115+ turned up on the night - from far and wide.

I cannot thank these two gentlemen enough: Azam Jaafri & Yousif Aslam.

The chemistry and bond they have with each other is phenomenal, and collectively what they were able to deliver last night was impeccable.

Real lived experience, mixed with depth, intellect and eloquence; even when they were handed some excellent questions from the audience. I've told them both, they need to go around a do a tour for you all to benefit 😁

My boys wanted to watch SpongeBob at the cinema.

I’m like, I ain’t going to the cinema to watch no SpongeBob.

Not even 30 minutes in, the older one keeps looking at his watch saying when is this finishing (3 hour+ movie you know)

Got so bored he’s just wriggling around in his seat. Got the straw and starts tapping it against the plastic cup holder disturbing everyone. Huffs and puffs his way through.

The younger one starts crying because he found it too scary.

Not the win I thought it was.

I don’t like to get political, esp. in this climate.

But the conversation went that way on the podcast I did with Ranjha Saab.

My response to the plethora of challenges we face today is to:

Build.

Build character.
Build career.
Build people.
Build society.
Build athletes.
Build projects.
Build business.
Build education.
Build community.

Most importantly, build yourself.

So that you can then be of service to building others.

But also automatically act as a role model in the process to guide the next generation to follow suit.

Complaining. Hate. Division. Negativity. Victimhood.

These are all ingredients that do the opposite of building.

Which is why my tolerance for them is very low.

That’s not to undermine or downplay the issues we clearly have.

But to encourage an action-based response in dealing with them; which everyone has the capacity to play a part in.

The most anticipated trailer of the year is here! 😁

We started off with just a poster.
Which turned into a motion teaser.
Which has now become a full blown trailer.

Yes this is me test-driving different aspects of AI.

What can now be accomplished sitting in your bedroom as a hobby is phenomenal.

If this is beginner level work, what will expert level look like?!

Only people in Batley will notice more than others.

But here’s a challenge:

Can you guess the correct sequence of all the real places used in this trailer?

All right answers will be put inside a draw, with prizes for the selected winners. (I need to work out what those are yet, but free tickets to the event will be one).

Too much complaining in the UK is creating a sordid environment.

Whilst this video is spoofing around; there are some real challenges that need to be addressed.

Otherwise the future begins to look bleak for all and the younger gen.

Which in turn breeds a “what’s the point doing anything” attitude.

That needs knocking on its head.

Which is why we put together the Batley Entrepreneurship Club events we do.

I have a lot of fun dabbling with AI - away from just using ChatGPT.

Last time we created a poster. This time we’ve animated it.

For the trailer, gone and done a little more, just needs some final touches.

But there’s a reason for learning AI - it’s a future-proofing skill that’s only going to become more prevalent.

Especially when it comes to media, which is now an important component for every business and person regardless of industry.

Said it before, I’ll say it again; we will be seeing a lot of one-person businesses functioning like a team of 5-10 thanks to AI.

Err’one should be using some free time to experiment with it.

With that said, stay tuned for an exclusive BEC-AI announcement that’s currently in the pipeline, and one I’m really excited about.

How many times should you post content?

We went from 3-5 times a day to 20-30 times a day.

Sack what you hear online.

You do what you can given your individual capacity.

If you can do 2 x a week do that.

If you can do 30 a day then so it.

The main thing is to do it for the full year and beyond.

Most start enthusiastically, then can’t keep up, then quit.

Don’t let that be you.

I aged early because of stress.

Firstly from the misery of being stuck in a job and career I legit hated.

Then starting a business and becoming a father at the same time.

One is difficult as it is, both together was, in hindsight, reckless.

However social media wasn’t what it is now back then.

There are so many opportunities and pathways; so much guidance available.

It’s now about execution.

Executing for a couple of years will open up so many options, to prevent regret for your older self.

Real art contains so much depth.

The gents at Artz-I Islamic Gallery in Bradford shared some interesting thoughts about this particular piece created with a knife.

Artists may have historically struggled to make a living from their work.

The creator economy we have today changes all of that.

You can legitimately make a living income from your work, whether that’s paintings, music or whatever else.

This is the part of social media way more people need to tap into.

It doesn’t mean it’s easy.

But the path is there.

Create art.
Document the journey online.
Sell.

Not every side hustle, project or business needs to be AI, tech, professional services, food and the usual things people go into.
