TL;DR. (Also might be blending in arguments from elsewhere). The book pushes unity when actually conflict and schism are fine and healthy. Sometimes the forced unity it advocates for are straight up abusive and violate basic anarchist principles like voluntary association. Schulman's IRL behavior has been described as abusive and stalkery, and the book could be called an abuser's manual.

"Conflict is not abuse" is a valid statement, but the book isn't about that, and it often says (kinda) "what you call abuse is actually just conflict."

Calls for Submissions for "Ⓐuslander:innen"

Tentatively titled "Ⓐuslander:innen" (German for "foreigners," literally "outlanders"), this next collection of texts will be a spiritual successor to our first zine "berlin, you've hurt me / another berlin is possible" and will continue to explore the themes of the (perceived-as) immigrant experiences anarchists in Berlin and the BRD.

While we have already addressed this topic, there is the feeling that since October 7th, there has been a shift within the Berlin radical scene where there is an increasingly perceptible rift between the white/German side and the "other" side: that of the immigrant, of the person-of-color, of the foreigner. Maybe it's the topic of Palestine/Israel that forces this split, or maybe it's something else like Ukraine/Russia/NATO, or even just something like how one should behave at a demo or conduct a meeting.

In many conversations over the past years, there have been many stories of feeling side-lined or othered, of having our knowledge and past experiences in our regions of origin treated as irrelevant and useless here in the BRD. Some people have felt themselves shift over time to be more "Germanized," but not integrated, rather molded to fit a German way of being, to fit the German disposition.

"All eyes on X" implies that attention alone brings change when the reality is that actions taken in concert with others is what reshapes the world.

If the Global Sumud Flotilla is captured (which seems likely) then what do we have as our next moves? Blockading Israeli embassies? Further BDS actions? Something else entirely?

are you now or have you ever been willing to take direct action to change your fate? If the climate is going to hell and fascism is coming (for you specifically as you made clear) will you do anything about it? Or will you just get mad someone didn't vote how you intended for them to?
