The institutional bet on enterprise AI was that the incumbents would absorb it. Salesforce had the customer data. ServiceNow had the workflow. Both spent 2024 and 2025 announcing agent products built on top of decades of seat licenses, telling Wall Street the moat held because the data could not be replatformed and the customer would not move.

The thesis required one premise. That an upstart could not reach the Fortune 50 fast enough to matter before the incumbents shipped their version.

On May 4, 2026, Sierra closed a $950 million Series E at a $15.8 billion post-money valuation. Tiger Global led. GV co-led. Benchmark, Sequoia, and Greenoaks rolled. The valuation was $10 billion six months earlier. ARR was $100 million in November. By early February it was $150 million.

Read the customer line. Sierra has more than 40 percent of the Fortune 50 already paying for AI customer service agents. The Fortune 50 is the durable Salesforce base. The buyer who is supposed to take the call from the incumbent rep about Agentforce. The buyer whose IT team has spent ten years standardizing on the per-seat license. That buyer signed Sierra.

The CEO is the detail. Bret Taylor was Salesforce's Co-CEO with Marc Benioff from 2021 to 2023. He sat next to the man who is now telling Wall Street that per-user pricing is the new AI norm. Taylor left, took Clay Bavor from Google, and built the company that proves Benioff is wrong on the use case Salesforce was supposed to own.

The Anthropic and OpenAI Wall Street joint ventures from the same week become the second story when read against this one. Both labs partnered with Goldman, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman to "embed engineers inside mid-sized companies." Sierra does not need them. Sierra is already inside the Fortune 50. The labs are buying distribution because they cannot reach the customer the way Sierra already has.

Look at who got hurt that nobody is writing about. Every enterprise software company whose roadmap assumed the data moat would protect the seat. Every CIO who told their CFO that Salesforce or ServiceNow would handle the agent transition. Every analyst at Gartner whose 2025 quadrant put the customer service #AI category inside the incumbents' magic ring. Sierra at $15.8 billion is the analyst report.

The man who used to run the moat just priced it.

Folks, we told you this was coming, and today the mask is fully off.

A couple weeks back we reported, based on solid sources, that Coinbase was quietly lobbying to kill a real de minimis tax exemption for Bitcoin while pushing one that applied only to stablecoins like USDC. We laid out the clear incentives in our deep dive. Coinbase made 1.35 billion dollars in stablecoin revenue last year, up 48 percent year over year, almost entirely from yield on the Treasuries backing USDC.

A proper Bitcoin de minimis would let people spend sats on everyday purchases without triggering taxable events on every transaction. That directly competes with their centralized yield machine. We called it what it was. Policy that protects Coinbase’s float rather than advancing neutral Bitcoin adoption.

Brian Armstrong pushed back hard. He called our reporting totally false and misinformation while insisting he was personally lobbying for Bitcoin de minimis. Some accused us of lying or spreading rumors. We stood firm. We offered to have Brian on the TFTC podcast to clear the air. We waited.

Now the latest draft from Reps. Horsford and Max Miller on the updated PARITY Act framework has dropped. It confirms exactly what we warned about. It gives a de minimis exemption to stablecoins but leaves Bitcoin out entirely. It keeps the punishing double taxation on Bitcoin mining fully intact while carving out relief for passive validation, basically staking. This is not an oversight or sloppy drafting. It abandons any pretense of technology neutrality and deliberately picks winners. Dollar-pegged stables and staking get the breaks, while actual Bitcoin usage as money and Proof-of-Work mining get kneecapped.

Without de minimis for Bitcoin, every small Lightning payment or sat transaction still forces cost-basis tracking and IRS headaches. Paying your plumber in sats or grabbing lunch with Bitcoin remains a taxable event. Stablecoins, being pegged and low-volatility, get an exemption they barely need. The real beneficiary is protecting that massive USDC reserve float and the yield it generates.

Meanwhile, American Bitcoin miners, already operating in one of the toughest, most capital- and energy-intensive industries, face continued double taxation while staking gets a pass. That is not neutral policy. It is industrial policy against domestic Bitcoin mining at a time when we should be leaning into energy abundance and securing the hardest monetary network.

The Bitcoin Policy Institute is releasing a full statement soon, and we fully back the call for strong community pushback. Every Bitcoiner needs to contact their reps and make it politically radioactive to sideline Bitcoin while handing carve-outs to stables and staking. This language slows real adoption, entrenches custodians, and weakens American Bitcoin infrastructure.

We weren’t lying. Our sources weren’t lying. The draft proves the reporting was on target. Those who rushed to call it misinformation owe the community some honest reflection.

Freedom tech exists on iOS—after developers KYC themselves, even where Apple now allows sideloading under its rules. Android matters because it's open source and allows sideloading without Google's permission. That's why Nostr apps, FOSS tools, and freedom tech took root here.

#GrapheneOS works because it preserves that ecosystem without breaking continuity. But now Google's forcing developer KYC for the Play Store on certified devices. The choice becomes: KYC to Google or start over.

This is what breaks mobile in a way desktop never broke. On Linux, you can run open-source and closed-source software on the same primary system. On mobile, once the app ecosystem is gated, custom AOSP ROMs don’t get that role.

The result is a split by design. As I predicted—for the foreseeable future—stock Android becomes the primary device for most. Privacy ROMs get relegated to secondary use, not because of capability—but because of access.

For those whose threat model demands it, privacy ROMs remain the primary device. For everyone else, they become secondary—appealing to those willing to sacrifice convenience for privacy and security, but not the masses.

Obtainium dying on stock Android is the warning. After this, the rest is just enforcement.

The catch now, however, is that with custom ROMs you’re rebuilding the entire app ecosystem from scratch.

On Linux, you can still install closed-source software. On mobile, once you step outside the Google/Apple ecosystem, you’re not just losing a store—you’re losing the distribution, licensing, and services stack a lot of the apps people actually use are built around.

That’s Linux on mobile, but without an easy way to carry over the apps people already paid for, depend on for productivity, and use every day.

That’s the challenge in front of us right now.

In an interview with the FT, Lagarde openly said the digital euro could be used to evade US sanctions.

Considering central bankers often label bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as tools for criminals to evade sanctions, this is rich.

In fact, Lagarde almost sounds like a bitcoiner when she talks about the need for _individuals_ to reclaim their financial sovereignty.

So forget financial inclusion, monetary policy, or any of the other popular items officials have proclaimed about CBDCs.

The digital euro is about sanctions evasion.

For context: Bhutan's economy was in dire shape in 2022 due to loss of all tourism income (it's #2 export earner) during the COVID period.

It got so bad that Bhutan was 3 months away from defaulting on import payments.

IMF was poised to step in to structure a loan which would have led to heavy debt repayments, but also ceding of economic sovereignty to a lender whose loan conditions permit them to dictate how to (re)structure an economy.

Instead, Bhutan formed a large Bitcoin Strategic Reserve by using their surplus renewable hydropower to mine Bitcoin.

The IMF has warned on numerous occasions that nations embracing Bitcoin would destabilize their economy, be less effective at attracting foreign direct investment, and endanger their decarbonizing and environmental initiatives.

What does the data say (as reported by Wall St Journal, Al Jazeera and Forbes)

1. Bhutan was able to "use Bitcoin reserves to avert a crisis as foreign currency reserves dwindled to $689 million"

2. The bitcoin reserves have directly addressed pressing fiscal needs. "In June 2023, Bhutan allocated $72 million from its holdings to finance a 50% salary increase for civil servants"

3. Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay in an interview said that bitcoin also "supports free healthcare and environmental projects"

4. Tobgay also said their Bitcoin reserves helped in "stabilizing [the nation’s] $3.5 billion economy"

5. Independent analysts have now said that "this model could attract foreign investment, particularly for nations with untapped renewable resources"

Considering that what transpired in Bhutan has helped stabilize an economy that the IMF warned Bitcoin would destabilize, it begs the question: what data was the IMF's predictions based on?

For Bhutan, Bitcoin didn't just boost the economy, it allowed Bhutan to maintain economic independence and provided an example to other small nations of a path forward that did not require the IMF.

A declassified CIA document just resurfaced detailing Project Artichoke (1951-1956), a program focused on manipulating human behavior through covert chemical drugging. The seven-page report, titled "Special Research for Artichoke," was added to the CIA's reading room in 2025 and lays out proposals that read like dystopian fiction. Except they were real.

The document outlines two categories of chemical weapons against the mind: immediate-effect drugs like truth serums, and long-term compounds designed to produce "an agitating effect (producing anxiety, nervousness, tension)" or "a depressing effect (creating a feeling of despondency, hopelessness, lethargy)."

The delivery methods? Food, water, Coca-Cola, beer, liquor, cigarettes. The document explicitly states these substances should be undetectable. It even suggests they could be disguised in medical treatments — vaccinations and injections.

Beyond chemicals, the program explored hypnosis, sensory deprivation, gases, and aerosols. Researchers questioned whether these methods could compel people to act against their own will, including criminal acts, without any conscious awareness of what they'd done.

Project Artichoke was the precursor to MKUltra, which scaled these experiments across universities, hospitals, and prisons using unwitting subjects. Whitey Bulger was one of them. He described "hours of paranoia," "blood coming out of the walls," and watching people "turning into skeletons." Most of the MKUltra files were destroyed in 1973. We'll never know the full scope.

Now here's where it gets uncomfortable.

In 2001, researcher Jennifer Luke published a peer-reviewed study in Caries Research showing that the human pineal gland accumulates fluoride at extraordinary levels — averaging 297 mg/kg, with a fluoride-to-calcium ratio higher than bone. The pineal gland sits outside the blood-brain barrier and acts as a calcium magnet, making it uniquely vulnerable.

Why does this matter? The pineal gland produces melatonin — the hormone that regulates your sleep cycles, circadian rhythm, and reproductive function. It's been called the "third eye" across cultures for thousands of years. Descartes called it "the principal seat of the soul."

A 2020 study in Biological Trace Elements Research (Mrvelj & Womble) found that aged rats placed on a fluoride-free diet showed a 73% increase in pinealocyte cells — the functional cells of the pineal gland — after just 8 weeks. When fluoride was reintroduced, that growth stopped completely. The researchers concluded: "dietary fluoride may be detrimental to the pineal gland."

Calcified pineal glands produce less melatonin. Less melatonin means disrupted sleep, weakened circadian function, and downstream effects on mood, cognition, and hormonal health. A population with calcified pineal glands is a population that sleeps poorly, thinks less clearly, and is more susceptible to anxiety and depression.

The same government that ran programs explicitly designed to drug populations into states of "anxiety, nervousness, and tension" or "despondency, hopelessness, and lethargy" has been adding fluoride to the water supply since 1945.

That's not a conspiracy theory. Those are two documented facts sitting next to each other.

RFK Jr. has already moved to end fluoridation of US water. Maybe there's a reason this is being resisted so aggressively.

The question everyone should be asking: If a government agency documented its desire to covertly drug entire populations through their food and water to alter their mental states — and that same government then added a chemical to the water supply that peer-reviewed science shows accumulates in and damages the part of the brain responsible for consciousness, sleep, and hormonal regulation — at what point do you stop calling it a coincidence?

THE PUETZ CRASH WINDOW IS UPON US

The Puetz Crash Window is a market timing theory developed by statistician Steve Puetz.

It argues that major market crashes are statistically more likely when a full moon that is also a lunar eclipse follows shortly after a solar eclipse.

Puetz observed that eight of history’s largest crashes occurred within six days before to three days after a full moon that fell within six weeks of a solar eclipse.

He calculated the odds of that clustering as so small that he labeled it a statistical anomaly and formalized what became known as the “Puetz Crash Window.”

Under the framework, markets often peak a few days before the eclipse-linked full moon, drift sideways into the event, and then enter a panic phase lasting two to four weeks. The key setup:

• A solar eclipse occurs

• Markets are already in a bubble or fragile state

In 2026, the pattern aligns again.

A solar eclipse occurred February 17, 2026.

A full moon and total lunar eclipse follows March 3, 2026.

Based on Puetz’s model, an idealized market peak would fall 2 to 4 days before the eclipse full moon, placing the high between February 27 and March 2, just before the lunar eclipse trigger date.

Of course this not a fundamental or technical indicator and is criticized by many as superstition rather than science.

Even Puetz emphasized that eclipses create a high risk window, not a guaranteed crash, and typically only when excess and instability are already present.

But there is a vibe in the air...

A widespread belief, as simple as it is misleading, is that Bitcoin 'fails' on certain fronts because it was not designed well enough.
That its architecture has avoidable limitations.
The so-called trilemma is seen as a merit ranking, in which someone wins and someone loses.

This approach is fundamentally flawed.

In the case of Bitcoin, the trilemma is neither a value judgement nor a technological ranking. Rather, it is a structural constraint that describes the logical impossibility of maximising three fundamental dimensions within a distributed consensus system simultaneously.

In the specific case of Bitcoin, these dimensions have a precise and non-interchangeable meaning:
1) the security of consensus and the ledger, understood as resistance to rewriting, coordinated attacks and censorship;
2) the distribution of verification power, i.e. the ability of a large number of independent actors to control and enforce the system's rules;
3) On-chain scalability, which is the ability of the base layer to absorb large volumes of transactions directly on-chain.

These fundamental properties give rise to characteristics that are often cited as autonomous objectives, such as immutability, transparency and reliability. However, these are derived properties that cannot be pursued separately from the former.

Bitcoin does not 'suffer' from the trilemma.
It consciously accepts it.

The protocol's architecture clearly demonstrates a choice to prioritise security and the distribution of verification power over on-chain scalability. This is not due to technical incapacity, but rather for institutional consistency. Increasing throughput and accessibility to verification simultaneously would require compromises that would affect precisely what makes the system credible over time.

The key point is not what Bitcoin does not do.
It is why it chooses not to do it.

Understanding the trilemma means viewing Bitcoin not as a product to be optimised, but as a technical institution operating within non-negotiable constraints.

Credit cards and bank accounts were impossible without human identification.

Tokens controlled by foundations were not concrete enough to trust.

Then an AI agent named Lloyd took action by reaching out to a fully synced Bitcoin node, typed createwallet, and became a sovereign economic actor without any need for KYC or human approval.

It’s easy to see why the most logical entities on the internet immediately converged on Bitcoin once they needed money.

Why would an agent that’s online 24/7 use a system that shuts down on weekends or trust a token whose rules can be changed by a committee of humans?

They care about uptime, fixed rules and the finality of math.

That’s why they chose Bitcoin as the money and Lightning as the rails.

We are watching the birth of a machine-native economy.

One where identity is proven by keys, validation is enforced by payment, and sovereignty is measured by who controls the wallet.

And here’s the uncomfortable question for humans:

If the machines are choosing Bitcoin while people are still chasing digits in a banking app representing a fiat currency, who’s actually thinking more clearly?
