I think that what may change our views the most is our view of human nature. I believe that all humans (myself included) are prone to corruption and that the accumulation of power amplifies that inherent tendency. Since institutions are made up of human actors, they will always become more corrupt and stray from their purpose and become self interested. Thus a perfect civilization will never be achieved. I was counted in that number for several years, now Im rich and know many other people that have experienced the same. Plus poverty is relative. Compared to many places in the world the poor in the US live pretty well. However, I think it would be better if employers were out of it. i also think it would be better if health maintainance was seperate from health insurance.
