I was kinda drunk one night & sorta laughed at him at a party (he was 6'2-3" & it just struck me totally bizarre), but when I saw the look in his eyes as she rolled in... felt bad. I caught the tail end of it with an older grandfather who TRIED this, but despite being somewhat wealthy/successful... he still couldn't afford to retire as having been self-employed & pay property taxes on hundreds of acres. The answer seemed to be to start gifting/selling/deeding it to kids & grandkids, but no one else would ever care, nor be as responsible as him again 😩

That's that wonderful atomized indivual thing we've been talking about.

Oh, & I should clarify... my older Gen X brothers still didn't largely find "good girls." They just married & procreated young, lol.

First two were real doozies of cheating whore variety, & one even added hard drugs in the mix 😩 My mom raised a few of my nephews. Sigh. Some of those boomer mothers & fathers did a real number on their daughters, but my dad wasn't very present for my brothers, either.
