Probably the one simple reason I enjoyed the Project Hail Mary film much more than the book: Ryan Gosling transformed Ryland Grace in my head from a grumpy sarcastic grump into a funny likeable and relatable dude. I also loved what they did with Eva Stratt, who I really didn't like in the book either, and her interactions with Grace and their subtle personal connection. Apologies to those who loved the book. I feel like I wanna see the film again now. Oh and Rocky was so well done too!

Really enjoyed the Minecraft movie for what it was, a fun family romp. Jack Black was awesome. Jason Momoa was fabulous. Great performances all around. The cinema we were in was filled with a whole bunch of kids and every time there was a specific Minecraft in-joke or a line from the trailer ("I AM STEVE") or something especially triumphant happened, the whole place erupted in applause, which sounds like it would be annoying, but it was actually quite endearing. Anyway, I'm guessing the movie won't be for everyone, but we had a blast at least!

The root of the housing crisis is that dwelling approvals have been declining for 10 years and immigration has been rising for 20 years, with the result that too many people are now chasing not enough houses.

It's obvious what is needed to fix housing affordability. It will require a campaign to recruit 80,000 tradies from overseas, lower taxes on residential development to improve developers' margins, and most of all — 100,000 government-funded public housing units a year.

But, as with productivity, it's "too hard".

People started to trickle in and it turned out to be one of the most fun shows we've played in a while.
