Arrg... Next time I hear someone refer to the Jewish bible as the "Old Testament"[1], I'm going to ask them which one is the New Testament, the Quran or the Book of Mormon. /s

Seriously Christians, you can call your own books whatever you want, but it's not okay to mis-name our books.

Either use "Tanakh", the correct name. "Jewish Bible" is icky but currently acceptable.

#Judaism #Christianity

[1] This is specifically a Christian talking about the Jewish texts as the Old Testament, not their own Christian Bible that has a section called Old Testament.

It is an act of antisemitism.

In fact this is one area where I think the IHRA is lacking- not directly addressing the issue of deliberate mislabeling.

Here's what bothers me about "Stop Arming Israel".

Israel is under missile bombardment from not only Hamas, but Hezbollah and under threat from Iran as well.

The missiles Israel has are primarily used to shoot down enemy missiles in its Iron Dome defensive missile program.

Saying "Stop Arming Israel" is saying "Leave Israel defenseless against attacks" and that's morally unacceptable to me.

#Israel
