This is probably because these platforms were more niche back in the day. They felt like a private group chat among friends. I have this theory that public social media &amp;#34;died&amp;#34; about 4 years ago and became an industrial-strength experience, mainly for those people interested in influencer-like behavior. If it wasn&amp;#39;t for Mastodon, I probably would have checked out a while ago.

I thought they just block ports but the addresses itself is public
