Yeah that's one of the problems with Glitch's/indie animation's pilot = episode 1 thing. They have different purposes, different goals, and merging them into one holds back both

But animation takes a lot of time and money. Glitch is growing, but they still have to justify every frame. At least for now, it looks they still feel that Ep 1 Pilot is worth it

Iirc the only indie show to leave it's pilot as truly just a pilot is Helluva Boss. Even Hazbin Hotel left it's YouTube pilot as a semi-canonical Episode 0

Could be some excuse that maybe it's all the same studio churning out direct-to-bargin-bin slop if they reused the exact same layout for Kit's and Flappers' home villages. But still would've preferred to see *some* stylistic variety

We haven't seen episode 2 yet, but in the greenlighting announcement for The Gaslight District, Nick Szopko seemed very receptive to the feedback and critiques of that pilot. Hopefully we see more of the same here :)

And the live forever reasoning is stronger now with Scratch. Also fits with Gangle's motif of getting hit by a truck. Ragatha's mother was obviously physically abusive, maybe she went too far?

Jax had the flashes of driving at night through a residential/wooded area. Maybe an animal jumped out and went through the windshield? Or he hit a person and is hiding from the consequences? (Though doesnt seem to fit as well)

I dont know where Zooble or Pomni would fit into this idea.

As for how the episode itself could go, I have no clue. It feels like we just experienced this universe's version of a heat death. I don't know how they possibly continue from this. My only ideas right now are that either Bubble reconstitutes himself from the remains of Caine to take over or that the gang can conjour up a new terminal for Kinger to rebuild a new basic AI to take the reigns so that they can... ????

For the alt, personally I would just take the "graphical representation of the above" route, at most just calling out the few most important details. Any other specific details should be in the post body if relevant, and can be ignored if not

If it comes down to just "a graphic showing GC generations and associated JVM arguments. The specifics are not important to this case", I think people reading the alt would appreciate not wasting their time on something irrelevant.

Another option could be just to declare it decorative and not acknowledge it to screen readers at all. Though at that point, it might be worth questioning if it's even necessary for sighted people? (Not saying you should delete it! I dont have the full context and could be misinterpreting your response. Given you said this *is* the topic of the blog post, I probably am. In that case, just ignore this part)

Well that is a description of the entire image. Given the same task, I'd probably have a similar result. The only thing I'd add is the flags are the width/size of their associated regions, not just labels

To simplify it, you'll have to ignore parts of it. Are there any details that are out of scope of your blog post? Or anything redundant to what the blog already said? In the full context, "graphical representation of the above details" could be the same information as what you wrote here
