i don't know anything about android I2P implementations, but not sure SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy helps in the case of I2P, they tend to recommend using their own protocol (SAMv3) for connecting

as for integration, there's IIRC no library like Arti for Tor to integrate I2P into applications, so that would be difficult

a combination of software maturity, which is way easier if you can "cheat" with centralized solutions (nostr isn't ready to add that many users), and marketing
most people don't have censorship resistance that high in their list of priorities for a social media, or it even sounds scary to them, they just want a fun community with "fair" moderation

it seems really exciting, especially experimenting with bitcoin/lightning/nostr related things over it
just not sure anyone in the Eindhoven area is doing this, would be kind of silly to have no nodes 😀

DMs are another kind of message (kind 4) that can be queried from relays, just like the normal messages (kind 1), they're not usually shown by clients but they could be
(some do, for example nostrudel has a "DM timeline" built in: https://nostrudel.ninja/#/tools/dm-timeline)

there's a better DM standard that makes this kind of correlation more difficult but it's not widely adopted yet

is there an implementation of the payment related NIPs (NIP-47, NIP-57) for when you run an old-school core-lightning node. and don't use (nor particularly want to use) any of the fancy LSPs?
