libcamera is stupid, I think I have to patch out it's call to V4L2_CID_USER_BCM2835_ISP_GAMMA if I want to actually have any realtime control over the tonemapping of the camera... It's a bit annoying that libcamera at the same time doesn't have a method to adjust the gamma curve but still sets it every frame to the same constant value...

It seems to be an usable camera now :D ...

There's C-mount lenses with electronics, but those just have random external cables for it. for every mount I'm going to have an adapter board anyway to supply the correct power to the lens and convert the protocol, I guess I'd just do SPI to the adapter board.

The electronic lens I have is not C-mount, that mount doesn't even have a proper name.

I've seen some RE efforts for the MFT mount yes, I have not ...

The official raspberry pi 5" screen v2 is portrait orientation (720x1280). The one I'm using now is from waveshare and is 1024x600, so landscape orientation so I can have the video stream fully hardware accelerated.

I guess your issue is that the USB port isn't in host mode so the USB device won't get recognized. This force-enables it, because the n900 never had proper OTG support

I have one roll of random PLA and one of hyper PLA that work perfectly. And I have two rolls now that do this, also one generic PLA and this blue one is a roll of Hyper PLA straight from the sealed package
