Everybody has a role like sender (who creates a transaction), Receiver (who verifies a transaction), a node (who verifies and validates a transaction) and a miner (who mines a transaction).

A paper game of Don’t Trust, Verify!

With mempool, blocks, hash of previous block, UTXO.

A paper game so students grasp these concepts.

We play it every time in lesson 6 of the My First Bitcoin 10 week’s program at BTC Curaçao at Eden Mall.

Each student is a general. The Kura Piedra Castle in the Middle. I tell them our gold is there.

I pass some secret messages through the students. Attack or retreat.

I tell them if we all attack we succeed if we all retreat we succeed. If we don’t reach concensus we die.

Here again one student got a wrong message. And we don’t have concensus. Some attack and one retreated.

Then I introduce proof of work and some rules and we have concensus.

I’m so happy to see the impact that #Bitcoin has in the lives of my students of #MyFirstBitcoin.

So I told them they need to come up with and sell me a service or product and I would pay them 1 dollar! With Lightning!

Here a student who is a gym coach abd trainer sold me an exercise!

And another student sold me a piece of a cake he baked and brought!

I go the extra mile teaching My First Bitcoin.

On small islands like Curaçao, where almost 25% of the households are considered poor, receiving money is not an option or luxury, it is a neccesity!

Not everyone has a bank account! You need 3 past salary slips to get a bank account, and not everybody can provide a formal salary slip!

Many people work in the informal sector, in construction, gardening, cleaning houses, cooking, creating crafts.

Exporting services online and receiving credit card payments online, through your website is not for everybody. As an online digital coach and trainer I can tell you how difficult it was to get this done!

So that is why I train and educate my students to download a Lightning wallet asap and sell something to me.

What is money?
Explaining to students in the My First Bitcoin 10 weeks Certification Program what money is.

We use many games and exercises to teach #Bitcoin.

Here you see students trying to barter to the goods they need. They experience there is no coincidence of wants: you are a shoemaker with 1000 shoes and you want fish. And you are a fisherman with 1000 fish and you want bread.

Then using silver coins and golden coins that everybody wants makes the trade easier.

But wait. When you realize that your golden coins can get debased by clipping them and changing the gold for copper.

It all happens through a fast sleigth of hands.

Don’t trust anybody, verify. Don’t even trust me as a teacher. Because I clipped that coin.

During lesson 3 of the history of money of the My First Bitcoin Certification, I let students sign a fake debt agreement for a loan of 10 dollars and I hand them 10 fake dollars out of nothing.

Money = Debt = Money.

I instantly create an extra money supply out of thin air.

Here I’m negotiating the terms with one of the students.

While everybody holds only 1 golden dollar, I create 20 golden dollars out of thin air.

As I’m the Stone Fence Bank -(fake bank), I can create fake fiat dollars.

Chapter 2 of the Mi Primer Bitcoin certificate tries to opens the minds and eyes of students: do you really know what money is?

Ready for lesson 2 of class 2 of Mi Primer Bitcoin. My first bitcoin.

We are going to talk about what is money? You see different paper fiat money here and I have included Monopoly money in between. Do the students really know what is money?

Have they thaught about this? Or have they been accepting paper for their whole lives whithout thinking about it?

We already gave them 5 dollars each in SATS. They had to download their Blink wallet and Wallet of Satoshi last week and ask 5 dollars to a faucet sponsored by family Peter Kroll’s BTC Curaçao Institute.

We already sent them 0.10 usd in the class ans the were able to send and receive sats on day 1.

Today we are meeting at Esperamos Supermarket, one of the 92 businesses on Curaçao that accepts Bitcoin.

Second group Mi Primer Bitcoin started on Curaçao with their 10 week Bitcoin education.

BTC Curaçao, family Peter Kroll has opened their Orange training center again.

We are part of the global Mi Primer Bitcoin Community that started in El Salvador, a network of open source education nodes in 40 countries.

Glad to put Curaçao on the map.

BTW we are ranked 3 in the world on BTC map in terms of Bitcoin companies per head of the population.

So there is a high density of acceptance of Bitcoin here in Curaçao.

Congrats! This is exactly what we are also doing on Curacao, with My First Bitcoin. Mi primer bitcoin.

You could download the open source book and check the education. There are 10 weeks in there and 10 or more exercises. Each exercise explains a concept.

In lesson 9 I vibecoded a Bitcoin blockchain game that explains hashing, hashing a block, linking blocks together etc.

In the future, when you need to explain more technical stuff you could use these to continue your journey.

I have opensourced this lesson and all my exercises and games on the github of My First Bitcoin - node Curacao.

Last saturday BTC Curaçao Institute on Curaçao, part of the Mi Primer Bitcoin global education network finished our first class with 6 students.

In economic war everything is related. You hurt my export with tariffs, I hurt your bonds market, and your real estate, and your banking…

I build economic models of islands and of big countries.

And what you learn is : all sectors of the economy are related!!

Something happens here, it flows to the other sector. Something happens with tariffs and it flows to the labor market and you lose your job.

And it goes from the labour market to the financial sector. Because without your job, you can’t pay your mortgages! So the banks suffer.

This also happens globally.

Take the tariffs of USA on China, on Europe. On Germany. On Denmark.

Those are in the real sector. On goods.

Also affecting the external sector. Where you trade with others.

You think you are done. I raise tariffs and I’m done!!

But like I said: everything is linked.

And this is what people often don’t see!! The links.

Ok you raise tariffs, I am China and Europe and I got less exports now. Because you made my products more expensive for your citizens.

But I, China, got 700 billion USD of your bonds. I European countries each got billions of your bonds.

If I dump these bonds, I sell because I don’t trust you any more, now it has flown into the financial/monetary sector. And the banking sector.

I sell your bonds. The prices of your 10 year bonds go down.

If prices of bonds go down, the yields of bonds go up.

Imagine the 10 year bond yield moves up from 4% to 5%. Or from 4% to 6%.

Now your banks that are loaded with 10 year bonds of say 3% are all at a loss!!

It entered your banking sector now.

Banks are making losses. Some of them collapse.

People lose their deposits.

Now you have to print money. To save the banks.

This is great for Bitcoin. Because you cannot print Bitcoin.

Now at higher costs for money, your real estate suffers.

It entered the real estate market.

If people were getting mortgages at 4% plus 2% first, at 6%, now with higher yields mortgage also could be at 8%.

Now nobody can afford a home.

You see how it can bounce back to you?

If you have a debt of 38 trillion USD, check who is holding your bonds.

Check the yields.

Check what could happen.

PS: in this scenario islands in the Caribbean are also at a higher costs. Because their central banks raise their interest rates based on what happens in the USA because their currencies are pegged to the US dollar.

President Trump has found the hammer to hit the world: tariffs. 25%!

If you don’t cooperate, it will go higher: 35%.

But I have to let you know: if you play with fire you can be burnt.

What if Euope hits back by dumping 25% of the USA bonds?

To calculate the impact you would need to:

Add the current bonds of all European countries.

Take 25%

And imagine what would happen with the USA bond market if bonds get dumped.

And USA could not take it!

It would devastate the business of USA.

Wallstreet, banks, and Mainstreet would suffer.

I’m not saying Europe should do this. I’m just saying what would happen?

The world seems like more volatile. Stocks of German, Dutch, Danish public companies can just dive because the USA President Trump put tariffs.

If you have a portfolio of stocks, what if they lock your account: not your keys not your stocks.

What if they close your bank account? Your credit card?

If you have a business, what if you cannot accept money any more because your bank account, your credit card has been closed?

I live in the Caribbean. We already have the priviledge here to NOT having business paypal accounts!

Imports of the world are used to produce USA goods. Why you didn’t want to live in East Berlin

Hey imagine I’m a hotel in the USA.

When you enter a hotel you see steel, material, furniture. You go in the kitchens you see Siemens and Whirlpool.

When you go to a room you see Samsung TV. Your Wifi system. Look at the brand.

You go to the swimming pool. Look at the brand. The cooler. Look at the brand.

I bet you: say 50% of all the stuff you see was IMPORTED!

Why?

Because the world made it cheaper, faster, and better quality than the USA.

The USA has a better financial system than the world. You can buy stocks, bonds, options. Wallstreet is top of the world making financial products.

But making physical stuff, manufacturing, the world, China, is faster, better and cheaper than the USA.

That is why you import! Because YOU benefit!

Check your numbers.

That means your wealth is dependent from the world.

What is wealth? What gives you a higher standard of living?

Your wealth- the options you have, the variety of brands, the colours, the features is dependent of what you see in your shelves.

Why are the people in Venezuela less wealthier than the USA?

Their shelves are empty. Only the very wealthy in Venezuela can get a variety of stuff. Different brands, different colours.

If they are in a hospital and the machine that they cannot import any more is broken: people die.

You don’t die because your hospital can import that Siemens machine. You are not blind because your hospital has that eye machine of a top European brand.

If you did not import it you are blind or you die. Can you see this?

Your hotel in USA is luxurious, has everything BECAUSE you trade with the world.

Now lets stop all these imports. 10.000% tariffs. On everything.

Because the world has been taking advantage of us.

They have sent us all their physical stuff their machines and we have been sending them a piece of paper that we can print unlimited.

What do you think is going to happen when that pool engine in that hotel breaks?

What when that Samsung TV needs to be renewed?

Are we going to put USA brands only?

Can we produce it cheaper, faster ourselves? Or will it be more expensive, and of less quality?

I was in East Berlin.
Before the walls went down.

East Berlin was a place that traded with nobody. That did not trade with the world. No imports from the world.

You had to be there.

You had to look at the streets, the buildings, the hotels and the shelves!

You had to become sick and end up in a hospital.

I wish you were there.

USA Import tariffs: why not put 10.000% import tariffs on the world?

Today I read that President Trump put import tariffs on the Netherlands, Denmark and other European countries, because thesent troops to Greenland.

Why not put 10.000% import tariffs on the world? Lets go max. Stop imports completely. All imports from the whole world. Zero imports!!

It would kill the USA economy instantly. You would lose your job. It would have secondary effects you could not image.

When you put tariffs the people who pay these are USA businesses and citizens.

These tariffs are paid at the border, by the one who ships the stuff.

If I am a USA importer of say a German car of 100.000 usd, I, the USA importer have to pay 25% or 25.000 usd more. At the border. After it has been shipped.

So what will happen is that :

I either sell it and increase my price with 25.000 usd to sell it to wealthy US citizens or businesses.

Or I take that 25.000 usd and my profit would be 25.000 usd less.

I could pass 10.000 usd in the price to my consumer and hit my profit with15.000 usd.

Whatever I do, my customers will demand less German cars and only THEN the German economy might be hit. Less demand of German cars.

But I, a USA importee, pay the tariffs. Lets not kid ourselves about this!

Now if my profits go down, do you think I will invest more in the USA?

No way. I postpone all investments. So that new car dealer I was going to open in the USA to sellGerman cars is gone! All those USA employees I was going to hire in that dealership, the sales reps, the HR, the marketing, the accounting all USA citizens: gone.

The electricity, the office equipment, the construction workers to build that car dealership are gone! I was planning to invest 5 million USD this year. I had my business plan ready with all my expenses after that investment. I was just about to signnthat mortgage of 5 million USD at a local USD bank.

That bank was gling to get interest payments on that 15 year mortgage. 5%. Gone!

I called the bank and closed everything.

Do you start to see the indirect effects of that tariff? Looks great. But who is it hurting?

The German car manufacturer is already looking at the BRICS to sell its cars.

So less investments, less consumption, less imports.

Y = C + I + G + E - M

This is an economic identity, meaning it is true for all economies.

Now suppose C declines, I declines and M also declines. But C and I decline more than M.

The Y the economic growth will go down.

So tariffs make the economy go down. If I go 10.000% on the world I am in a deep recession.

So now suppose the USA economy has no imports.

Nothimg produced outside enters the USA economy. Ever.

10.000% on all imports of the world.

M is zero.

Y = C + I + G + E

How do you think the USA economy is going to look like?

Imagine you have no cloths, no fruit, no oil, no machinery, no iphones. Nothimg imported.

And you have wall street with all that debt, those stocks all financial services.

Can you imagine a USA without any foreign imports?

The reason USA imports all those stuff is that you can not make them yourself or the world can make it cheaper, faster or better than you.

Put 10.000% of tariffs on everything and see how your economy crashes.

Jeff what would happen if all the people talking about the system you are mentioning - we never lived in a global free economy - on Youtube would close their Youtube channels and only stream on Nostr, and decentralized social media?

I watch many interviews with you on YOUTUBE. And I started thinking - all these people, including me, are giving their attention, time and strenghtening the existing system Youtube.

It doesn’t make sense to me any more to see one of your interviews on Youtube.

Those interviews could be on Nostr or on Keet.

Even if we don’t yet have billions of views on Nostr.

I’m going to move 10% of my posts per month to Nostr and Keet. I’m going to stream only on Nostr and Keet.

Not anymore on Youtube. And lets see what happens.

Is it possible to do business on Nostr and leave Linkedin, Youtube, Facebook and Instagram completely?

Why don’t we have Linkedin on Nostr?
I got 3653 followers on Linkedin and 500+ connections.

But Linkedin can cancel me anytime. So those followers and connects look great. But they are not "mine". I don't own anything. And I'm still happy.

Jeff Booth says we should give our attention to the Bitcoin world. To open protocols. Because what we give our attention too, grows.

So it seems crazy to give my attention to Linkedin. To follow anybody there. To engage in conversations there.

So here is what I did:
I extracted all my data from Linkedin. And I put it in a local folder. And I started analyzing it. My chats, my posts and my connections and followers.

This move already is a first step.

Then I did that also on Facebook and Instagram and planning to do that on Youtube.

Extract everything and back them up.

Next step is: be more here on Nostr. On Primal. Putting content here first and ultimately move completely to Nostr.

Here I got my pub key and private key. If I don't like a client I can move.

If I want to analyze my content I can do that in python. And nobody can cancel me.

The only thing you can do is follow me or unfollow me. But you can not cancel me.

It already feels a little more empowering.

But I'm telling you honestly. It looks brave. But it also looks a little bit scary. Leave Youtube and Linkedin and Facebook and Instagram completely.

Only going live here on Nostr. Putting all my videos in a decentralized distributed backend.

My process is a sales page and not a cart. People have to see the offer, click and pay and enter a room to get the experience.

If you have wallets of all those coins you accept it should easily plug in and let them pay with whatever wallet you have.

I have seen some shops on nostr.

I think it is called shopstr.

But the shops need to be different if you are helping people by providing online training.

Imagine you are a digital coach and trainer like me.

You want to:
- build a following of people who don’t know you
- then let them raise their hands and tast a little bit of your product and service (often raise your hands mean they subscribe by providing their name and email)
- then you give them a taste of your services (often by sending only the people who subscribed the invitation to the webinar)
- you hold a 45 minute webinar
- in that webinar you paste a link to your sales page (often outside the webinar software , like a wordpress site)
- when they land on that sales page they can pay (in wordpress it is done by plugins as woocommerce). This payment often goes through a payment provider (they process credit cards so you can receive money that goes to your bank account)
- after payment your customers get in a private space where they see your videos of your course or program (this is often videos you have unlisted on youtube and share with them).

This is the general flow.

To get 50 new customers at 1% conversion you need to engage with 5000 new people at the top of your funnel.

This system is used by many coaches, trainers and digital content creators.

Nostr should be able to do this.

We need a way to let people “raise their hands” for a specific content.

The content creator - I - need a way to have the dms of all these people who raised their hands for my content.

Say if I say AI and Automation is my content I need a way to simply dm all those people, say 5000 people on nostr that are interested in #aiandautomation.

So on top of this primal user interface or maybe through python I need to create code that can dm all these people who maybe liked my content, I posted, specifically on this topic.

Is that already available?

Then I need a way to stream my content with OBS or Ecamm software (I use Ecamm) easily to my Nostr page.

I have used Zapstream in the past. But I see I have to keep paying for zapstream to keep my videos up.

What if I host my videos myself? How can I ensure my videos stay visible on Nostr?

There needs to be a way so I can pull up a server that is up constantly.

Next I have the webinars.

I should be able to invite all those 5000 people who raised their hands a dm.

I don’t need their emails.

They only thing I need is sending them some content so they show up.

They need to be able to unsubscribe from my content.

So Nostr needs a way to send mass content to a list of people. It needs to directly end up in their dms.

Is this already available?

After payment they get inside a secret room where they see my course say 6 modules during 6 weeks.

The economics of oil say that it is going to take a lot of time to put Venezuela’s oil on the market.

Curaçao has a refinery that needs 0.5 -1 billion usd of investments to upgrade.

After watching this episode I tend to conclude that:
- the business case of oil refinery on Curaçao is not going to be positive.
- oil storage from Venezuela probably is not something feasible as the oil will not be soon drilled in Venezuela.

What else can we do with the huge polluted terrain on Curaçao?

Is it feasible to put solar power and batteries and mine Bitcoin there?

The solar irradiation on Curaçao is high. Has anybody done the math regarding to minimg on solar power on different locations in the world?

Is that business case more feasible than refining heavy crude oil on Curaçao?

The Byzantine Generals dillema

I did not understand it, until I had to do it. With my students of the My First Bitcoin we did an exercise of attacking a Castle last Saturday.

We attached and we failed. Because there were "traitors". Messages were passed to NOT attack, while, I, the King of Kura Piedra (this is Stone Fence) have said we should attack together at dawn.

I created this exercise for Lesson 6 of the My First Bitcoin certificate. I consulted with my mentor Huxley and with my AI, Ava.

If you could code you would now start creating sound money, Bitcoin.

He was critical. He was maybe even furious!! He said this is a scam!

All emotions.

I die not expect this when I prepared the lesson!

It was about the problems that Bitcoin solves.

By lesson 5 this student learned:

- that the USA created 4 trillion USD in kust 1-2 years. 40% more fiat currency
- he saw the M2 money supy go steep upwards
- he saw how many fiat money is created and the debt as percenatage of income of countries like USA, Japan, UK, Singapore.
- the ranking of the most indepted countries in the world

And he saw the website of WTF happened in 1971.

The question: what is money pondered in his mind.

What is hard money?

What is cbdc?

Are you saying they can link cbdc to my travel? To my social score?

Is that why you showed me to use keet.io the peer to peer chat? nostr?

But, but?

A new Cypherpunk was born.

If he could code he would have put all that energy, all that new insight into coding decentralized money.

I realized that by lesson 5 of the My First Bitcoin, you can not unsee what you have seen!!

He saw that just by adding some monopoly money to my friends - I played the Kura Piedra Bank again - and gave some extra 2000 USD fake money to my friend to show the Cantillion effect, while all other students had only 15 USD, that the bid of the Porsche went to straight 500 USD!

Nobody could outbit my friend!

My friemd was just one of the students.

This exercise showed them, and the new Cypherpunk, that suddenly, the value of the fiat money you have is decreased when there is more fiat money created.

I did not realize that the banking sector was so fragile...

Until last week Saturday I had to put my final notes to my Lesson 4 of the Fiat system of the My First Bitcoin 10 week program.

How does a bank work? How does it create loans? How do loans relate to deposits.

I wanted to create a great interactive exercise out of the Mi Primer Bitcoin book.

So I decided to create the Kura Piedra Bank Fiat Show.

A show and game where you are not the main actor. The banks, the governments, the ones closest to the government and the central banks. Those are the main actors. And you, you watch the show.

You can have a credit card, a loan, a car loan, a business loan.

So there I was, creating my spreadsheet.

Here is how it worked

First you have your own balance sheet of your Family (Bo Familia). And you got your assets and your liabilities. You got your house, your car, your business (Negoshi).

Then on the liability side you got your Mortgage, your car loan, and your business loan, and your credit card loans.

These liabilities are all the assets of the banks. You will soon see them at the Asset's side of the bank.

But lets move to your Earnings Statement of your Family.

Here you see how much money flows in and out because you have either assets or liabilities.

First lets look at your revenues of your Family.

You receive interests because you have a deposit at the Kura Piedra Bank. They pay you a lower interest rate then the interest you have to pay on the credit cards, the mortgage, the business loans and the car loans of course.

Kura Piedra Bank has to make money. We will see that later.

On the Expenditures side of your Earnings Statement you see what you need to pay on interests on:
Your mortgage, your car loan, your business loan and your credit card.

Here you see a very large credit card payment. Why: Because Kura Piedra Bank has maxed out on Credit cards. Everybody can get a credit card at 20% interest rate.

Now lets see how the Balance sheet and the Earnings Statement of our Kura Piedra Bank, the bank we created during the Lesson 4 looks.

You can imagine that your liabilities are their assets. An asset is something that brings them money, a liability is something that takes money out of your wallet.

So here you see that your mortgage, your car loan, your business loan and your credit cards is the Kura Piedra Bank's assets.

Yes. they all bring the bank money.

You pay interest so the bank receives money, your money, on all these assets.

When you look at the Kura Piedra Bank's Earnings statement below you see how:

You see that on the Revenues side of the Kura Piedra bank they get interest on your mortgage, your car loan, your business loan and your credit card.

This is exactly the money that flows out of your expenditures side of your Family's Earning statement.

And then on the Expenditures side of the Kura Piedra Bank, Earning statement you see the money they pay you for your deposits.

The bank makes a profit by deducting the money they pay you on your deposits from the money they receive from you from all those loans.

Finally how does this work? The multiplier.

This resource we used during Lesson 4 of the My First Bitcoin Education of 10 weeks, sponsored by BTC Curacao Institute of Family Peter Kroll, also has a general overview of the fractional reserve system.

You see how if you put a deposit of 1 million, how with a percentage of 10% the Kura Piedra Bank has to hold as reserves it can create loans of 900.000. The cost is the deposit times the interest paid. The revenue is the loan times the interest received. The profit is the revenues minus the costs.

You see the Earnings of Kura Piedra Bank and you see the multiple, which means how many times the loans created are compared to the deposits.

If you decrease the fractional percentage to 5% or to 1% or to 0% like the USA, your numbers go crazy.

This is when I realized how fragile fiat banks can become.

PS: the reason why these numbers look so large are: they are assuming only one bank Kura Piedra Bank for the whole island. And they assume all the families of all the citizens are shown in two statements.
