Brother, those words are worship. “I don’t want to let Him down” - that is the heart of a true disciple.

He laid His life down for enemies. For you. For me. Romans 5:8. That kind of love demands a response. Not perfection, but faithfulness.

The Lord does not ask you to die on a cross like Him. He asks you to live for Him. To stand with the persecuted who bear their crosses now. To pray when it’s easier to scroll. To give when it’s easier to keep. To speak His Name when it’s easier to be quiet.

That cross proves it. He did not turn away from nails, shame, or death. He stayed, because He loves us to the end. John 13:1

If He did not turn away for us, we cannot turn away from our brothers. Many in Nigeria, Sudan, are on their own crosses today for His Name. Beaten, displaced, silenced.

The same love that kept Him on the cross must keep us standing with them. Pray for them. Speak for them. Share what you have with them.

When we look at the Sacred Heart, we are reminded that we are deeply loved, even in our weakness, failures, and struggles. Jesus does not love us because we are perfect; He loves us because He is love.

Fixing miners with your father, learning engineering, spending hours side by side… those are altar moments. At 74, every day with your dad is a gift the Lord wrapped in time. May God grant your father long life, strong health, and many more basement projects with his son. “Honor your father and mother” is the first commandment with a promise - and you’re living it today.

It convicts me as a priest because so many in Nigeria cannot say what you just said.

I remember a boy, maybe 9 years old, who sat by the road in Borno every evening. He wasn’t playing. He was waiting. “My mother went to the market,” he’d tell anyone who’d listen. “She’ll come back soon.” He didn’t know jihadists had taken her months before.

And a little girl in Plateau who walks from tent to tent in the IDP camp calling “Baba? Baba?” She searches every face. She doesn’t understand why the men with guns came that night. She just knows her father’s voice is gone, and she keeps looking for it.

Your father is here. Breathing. Teaching you. Laughing with you over broken hashboards. That is not small. That is Proverbs 10:22 - riches with no sorrow added.

*Proverbs 10:22* - “The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” What a tender promise from our Father.

Yet I kneel before you humbly to say: God’s blessing is meant to flow, not to pool.

This morning as you receive His riches, remember the poor of Christ in Nigeria. The widows in Plateau. The little ones in Benue’s camps. The shepherds hiding in Kaduna with only His Word. They wait on the Lord… and He waits on us to be His hands.

Forgive me for troubling you, but a humble priest must speak: Let us not receive only. Let us become vessels. A prayer whispered. A coin sent in secret. A post shared so others see. Whatever the Lord lays on your heart.

Faith in Christ Jesus: is endurance under fire. And fire is exactly what our brothers and sisters in Nigeria are facing right now. Churches burned. Families displaced. Martyrs’ blood watering the soil while the world scrolls past.

A resilient faith is not theory here. It’s waking up knowing today may cost your life, yet still whispering “Jesus is Lord.” That is the narrow, hard path our Lord spoke of in Matt 7:14. God bless His children who walk it without compromise.

They’re choosing Christ with a gun at the door. While you sleep safe, they bury pastors. Matt 24:9 is not a future prophecy for us here. It’s today’s news. If our faith doesn’t weep with them, it’s not the faith of Christ.

And faith in Bitcoin as sound money:: yes, this matters for the persecuted. When bank accounts are frozen, borders close, and aid agencies can’t reach villages under attack, Bitcoin does not ask permission. It cannot be seized at a checkpoint. It crosses borders faster than relief trucks. For Nigerian Christians cut off from traditional finance, it has become a lifeline to receive help from the Body of Christ worldwide.

If you claim Christ, do not let your faith stop at words. The persecuted Church in Nigeria needs you now. Pray for them. Then send help. Bitcoin, for all its volatility, is proving to be one of the few tools that reaches them when everything else is shut down. It aligns with a hard, narrow path: self-custody, direct aid to those bleeding for the Name.

THE CRY OF THE PERSECUTED CHURCH IN NIGERIA

I write with tears in my eyes and pain in my heart. While many sleep peacefully at night, thousands of Christians across Nigeria go to bed wondering if they will wake up alive the next morning.

This is not a story from centuries ago. This is not something found only in the pages of history. This is happening now.

In many villages, Christian mothers put their children to sleep not knowing whether terrorists will invade before dawn. Fathers kneel beside their families and pray, not because they are certain of tomorrow, but because prayer is all they have left.

Imagine a little girl standing beside her mother's lifeless body. Imagine a boy calling for his father who will never answer again. Imagine families running into the bush with nothing but the clothes on their backs as their homes burn behind them.

For many Christians in Nigeria, this is not imagination. It is reality.

I think of a young boy in one of the displaced persons camps. Every evening he sits quietly at the entrance of a small shelter. Whenever visitors arrive, he asks the same question:

"Have you seen my mother?"

Months have passed since terrorists attacked his village. His mother disappeared during the chaos. Yet every day he waits, hoping she will walk through the crowd and call his name.

The heartbreaking truth is that she may never return.

How do you explain such pain to a child?

How do you tell him that the person who carried him for nine months, who wiped his tears, who sang him to sleep, may never come back?

How do you tell him that hatred stole his future?

The Bible says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Today, millions of hearts in Nigeria are broken.

Church buildings have been destroyed. Communities have been displaced. Children have become orphans. Women have become widows. Families have been scattered.

Yet in the midst of the suffering, Christians continue to worship.

They still gather under trees when church buildings are burned.

They still sing hymns when tears fill their eyes.

They still pray for their enemies when revenge would seem easier.

They still hold onto Christ when everything else has been taken away.

Their faith reminds us of the words of Romans 8:35:

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?"

The persecuted Church in Nigeria is bleeding, but it is not broken.

The persecuted Church is crying, but it is not silent.

The persecuted Church is suffering, but it has not surrendered.

Today I ask the world not to look away.

Remember the mothers who will never see their children again.

Remember the fathers who died protecting their families.

Remember the children who go to sleep hungry in displacement camps.

Remember the believers who risk their lives simply to gather and worship Jesus.

Their blood cries out.

Their tears matter.

Their lives matter.

And their faith deserves to be remembered.

May God comfort every grieving family.

May He protect those who live under constant threat.

May He strengthen those who refuse to deny their faith.

And may the day come when every Christian in Nigeria can worship freely without fear.

*Accept Him in your heart* - but a heart full of noise will not recognize His knock. He came to the inn, and there was no room. You will miss Him the same way: not by denying Him, but by being too busy to open.

*Trust His plan* - yet distrust shows up as delay. “Tomorrow” is how believers crucify today’s obedience. Miss Him once, you miss Him always.

*Read His Word* - He speaks there. Every page He’s knocking. If you read but won’t obey, you slam the door on His voice. That’s rejection, plain and simple.

*Flourish* - You cannot. Not without Him. Simple, not easy. The cross was simple wood, but it crushed the Son of God. Don’t confuse “simple” with “light.”

As a missionary priest working among persecuted communities, Justin’s story hits close to home. The intellectual questions are real, but the cost is real too.

He reminds us of 3 truths we live daily:
Reason leads to Christ* – Faith doesn’t fear questions. Justin used philosophy to point pagans to the Logos. We do the same today on dusty roads and in prison cells.
Truth is worth everything* – “We hope to be saved.” That was not theory for Justin, or for our Christians in the north. It’s the only confidence that sustains when courts demand compromise.
The Mass is our anchor* – 1,900 years and the same Sunday gathering, same Word, same Eucharist. When everything else is stripped away, this is what holds us.

A Cry From the Persecuted Church in Nigeria: Please Do Not Forget Us 🇳🇬

To Christians around the world,

I write today with a heavy heart on behalf of countless families in Nigeria whose suffering is often overlooked. This is not about politics or attention. it is about children who have lost their parents, widows who have lost their husbands, and communities shattered by violence.

Recently, reports emerged of an attack involving a Christian school in Oyo State. What should have been a place of learning became a place of fear. While many children around the world celebrated Children’s Day with joy, some Nigerian children spent that same period in fear, grief, and uncertainty.

In our camp, we see the pain that headlines cannot fully capture. I remember a young boy who sat near the entrance every evening, waiting for his mother. He believed she would come for him, not knowing she had been killed. I remember a little girl who asked every night, “Did anyone find my daddy today?” Eventually, she stopped asking. not because she understood, but because hope was fading.

These stories are not rare. Many children have become orphans overnight. Many carry wounds that cannot be seen. They struggle with fear, trauma, and loss while the world moves on to the next headline

Scripture tells us, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26). Yet many of these families feel forgotten. This is not just Nigeria’s burden. These are human lives created in the image of God.

Despite their suffering, I have met believers whose faith remains unshaken. Widows still worship. Orphans still sing hymns. Families who have lost everything still proclaim that Christ is Lord. Their faith is a testimony to God’s sustaining grace.

Today, I ask for three things: pray, remember, and stand with the persecuted Church. Pray for grieving families, vulnerable children, pastors or priests serving in dangerous areas, and all those living with the scars of violence. Pray that God will comfort the brokenhearted and strengthen those who suffer for His name.

Please do not forget these children. Do not forget these families. Behind every statistic is a face, a name, and a story. May the Church of Jesus Christ continue to remember and support its suffering brothers and sisters wherever they may be.

May God comfort the brokenhearted, defend the innocent, and strengthen His people. Amen.

At least eight innocent people were killed and eight others injured after terrorists invaded the community, about 30 miles south of Jos, Plateau State.

But behind those numbers are real human lives.

Bible Verse:

There are days when the pain in your heart becomes so deep that you no longer know how to explain it to anyone

You wake up smiling in front of people, but inside, your soul feels exhausted
You pray, but sometimes the words refuse to come out
You try to stay strong for everyone else while secretly fighting battles nobody sees

Sometimes the weight of life becomes unbearable

The disappointments
The betrayal
The loneliness
The silent tears at night
The prayers you thought God would answer immediately
The heartbreaks nobody knows about
The fear of tomorrow
The struggle to keep believing when everything around you feels broken

But child of God, hear this today
God has not forgotten you

Every tear you cry matters to Him
Every silent pain in your chest matters to Him
Every sleepless night, every moment of anxiety, every hidden wound — God sees it all

There are people who only love you when you are useful to them
People who walk away when your life becomes difficult
People who promise forever but disappear when storms arrive

But Jesus is not like man

When others leave, He stays
When your strength fails, He carries you
When your heart breaks, He draws closer

The Bible says “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted”
That means God moves nearest to people whose hearts are wounded

Sometimes we think God only loves us when we are spiritually strong
But some of the most beautiful moments with God happen when we are completely broken before Him

The woman with the issue of blood came to Jesus broken
Blind Bartimaeus cried out broken
The prodigal son returned home broken
And every single time, Jesus responded with mercy, compassion, healing, and love

God is not waiting for you to become perfect before He embraces you
He wants you to come exactly as you are
Tired
Wounded
Confused
Crying
Weak
And even struggling in your faith

Sometimes the strongest prayer is not a long sermon
Sometimes all heaven hears is
“Lord… help me”

And that prayer alone can shake heaven

Maybe lately you have been asking
“God, where are You?”
“Why is life hurting this much?”
“Why do I feel alone?”
“Why does it seem like evil keeps winning?”

But what you cannot see is that even in your darkest season, God is still protecting you from things you know nothing about

There were accidents He prevented
Battles He fought for you silently
Doors He closed to save you
Traps of the enemy He did not allow to destroy you

The devil wants your pain to make you bitter
But God wants your pain to bring you closer to Him

Do not allow suffering to make you stop praying
Do not allow disappointment to make you stop trusting God
Do not allow people’s cruelty to make you lose your gentle heart

The enemy attacks hardest when breakthrough is near

You may feel weak today, but your story is not over
God still has plans for your life
There is still purpose inside you
There is still healing coming
There is still joy that will return again

One day the tears you cry now will become a testimony
One day God will heal you so deeply that the very thing that almost destroyed you will become proof of His mercy

And when that day comes, you will look back and realize
God never left you for one second

Heavenly Father, my heart is tired and sometimes I do not even know what to pray anymore
Please hold me when I feel weak

The cries coming out of Gangare community in Barkin Ladi, Plateau State, are too painful for words. Once again, innocent men, women, and children have been left bleeding and broken after the fresh attack carried out on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, by suspected Fulani militia.

Today, many of the survivors are lying in hospital beds, receiving treatment for gunshot wounds and severe injuries. Some are struggling to breathe through the pain. Some cannot speak because of the trauma they witnessed. Mothers are weeping beside wounded children. Fathers are watching helplessly as their families suffer. Young people who once dreamed of a peaceful future are now fighting for their lives.

These are not just statistics. These are human beings created in the image of God. These are families whose only desire was to live peacefully in their ancestral homes. Yet violence has turned their nights into fear and their mornings into sorrow.

The people of Barkin Ladi are tired of burying loved ones. They are tired of living under constant fear. Every attack leaves behind another generation traumatized, displaced, and heartbroken. How long will innocent blood continue to cry from the soil of Plateau State?

The Bible says in Psalm 34:18:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Right now, many hearts in Gangare are crushed in spirit. But we pray that God Himself will draw near to every wounded victim lying in those hospitals. May He touch every bullet wound with His healing hands. May He strengthen every doctor, nurse, and caregiver attending to the injured. May He comfort every family crying through sleepless nights.

We also remember those who lost loved ones in this terrible tragedy. No words can truly heal the pain of suddenly losing a father, a mother, a child, a brother, or a sister to violence. But we pray that God will give the grieving families the strength to continue even in unimaginable sorrow.

Isaiah 41:10 says:
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.”

To the wounded victims in the hospitals, you are not forgotten. To the grieving families, your tears matter. To the people of Plateau State, your pain is seen by God even when the world seems silent.

We call on security agencies and government authorities to rise beyond words and promises. Human lives are sacred. Communities deserve protection. The people of Barkin Ladi deserve to sleep without fear of gunfire in the night. Peace must return to Plateau State.

May God bring healing to the injured.
May God comfort the grieving.
May God protect every vulnerable community.
And may the bloodshed in Plateau finally come to an end.

THE STORY OF SAINT DAMIEN OF MOLOKAI

Saint Damien of Molokai was a Belgian Catholic priest and missionary who became one of the greatest examples of sacrificial love and pastoral charity in the history of the Church. Born Joseph de Veuster in Belgium in 1840, he later joined the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and took the religious name Damien.

As a missionary priest, he was sent to Hawaii at a time when the islands were suffering from a terrible outbreak of leprosy (Hansen’s disease). Because the disease was highly feared and poorly understood, people suffering from leprosy were isolated and sent to a remote settlement on the island of Molokai. The conditions there were heartbreaking - many of the sick were abandoned, neglected, hopeless, and left without proper medical care, shelter, or spiritual support.

In 1873, at the age of 33, Fr Damien volunteered to go to Molokai, knowing fully well the dangers involved. What makes his story extraordinary is that he did not simply minister from a distance; he chose to live among the lepers as one of them. He built homes, churches, schools, and hospitals. He dressed wounds, buried the dead, defended the dignity of the abandoned, and brought both material and spiritual comfort to people society had rejected.

At first, he would address the people as “you lepers.” But eventually, after years of living among them and sharing their suffering, he contracted the disease himself. From then on, he began to say, “we lepers.” That small change of language captures the depth of his solidarity and love.

Fr Damien died in 1889 at the age of 49, after giving his life completely in service to the sick and forgotten. He was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI in 2009.

The story of St Damien of Molokai remains a powerful reminder that true Christian love is not afraid to draw close to suffering. He teaches us that holiness is often found not in extraordinary words, but in the willingness to stay with people in their pain, loneliness, and rejection.

In recent days, many people have reacted to things I said about the terrible acts that are sometimes carried out in the name of religion. Some have misunderstood my message, and I have even received threats. But today I want to speak calmly and clearly so that my heart is understood.

Any act that spills innocent blood in the name of God is evil. When people kill, terrorize, or destroy lives and then claim they are doing it to please God, they are not serving God. they are dishonoring Him.

The Holy Bible says very clearly,
“Thou shalt not kill.” Exodus 20:13

And again it says,
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

Let me share a simple story.

Many years ago in a small village, there was a man who told the people that his deity demanded human blood before the land could be blessed. The villagers lived in fear, believing that if sacrifices were not made, disaster would come upon them. One day an elderly woman stood up and said something simple but powerful:
“The God who created life cannot delight in destroying it.”

Her courage opened the eyes of the people, and they began to question the fear that had controlled them for so long.

In the same way today, we must ask ourselves a serious question:
Can the true God of heaven really delight in the blood of innocent people?

The Bible reminds us again:
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John 4:8

If someone claims to love God but spreads violence, terror, and hatred, then something is deeply wrong.

My message is not about hatred. My message is about truth, justice, and peace. Christians must never kill in the name of Jesus, and Muslims must not kill in the name of Allah. The God who created heaven and earth values human life.

Let us reject violence.
Let us reject terror.
Let us choose the path of peace and righteousness.

May God open our eyes, soften our hearts, and bring peace to our world.

They Are Killing Us, and the World Is silent

My heart is broken
They come at night and kill Christians while they are asleep. Others are slaughtered in their farms, or ambushed along the road. And yet, the world keeps quiet.

What pains me most is that even our fellow Christians seem not to understand the trauma we pass through every single day. These jihadists recruit children and turn them into beasts—bloodthirsty instruments of terror. I shed tears daily, burying families murdered only because of their faith.

“My eyes are worn out from weeping; my soul is in torment.” *Lamentations 2:11*
“For your sake we are killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” *Romans 8:36*

My fellow Christians, I beg you: speak up. Come to our aid.

If I keep quiet, I will die. If I speak, I will still die. So I choose to speak. And I charge other priests and pastors: speak out now. “Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet.” *Isaiah 58:1*

And let me make this clear to my people: If they kidnap me tomorrow, do not bother to get me out. Let them kill me. I promise you, my blood will raise a movement against them. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” *Psalm 116:15*

Notice the order: submission first, resistance second. You can’t fight the enemy in your own strength. When we surrender, humbling our will, obeying His Word, laying down our plans, the Lord Himself stands with us.

Submission isn’t weakness; it’s taking cover under the Strongest authority. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” *Proverbs 18:10*

So bend the knee today. Say “Yes, Lord” before the battle. Then stand. The devil flees not because we are strong, but because Christ in us is stronger. “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” *1 John 4:4*
