Yup. Folsom Boulevard runs out from Sacramento to Folsom where the prison is. It follows the alignment of that former railroad. Part of it is right of way used by, I believe, Union Pacific for freight operations, and part of it carries the SacRT Light Rail. The light rail line ends a few hundred feet from the original eastern terminus and station of the old railroad, which is preserved as a museum along with their locomotive turntable. It's really cute riding the light rail up there

I'd also rotate a compost pile around - I'd keep it on one area for a while, then when it was time to rotate a crop I'd grab a potato fork and shift the remaining material on the compost pile over on top of the old plants until I was left with an elevated layer of finished compost and plant there.

It was like, plant your stuff then step back quickly so it doesn't ding you in the chin as it launches like a rocket
