Its been a while since I listened to bitcoin podcasts but this BIP will essentially act as a filter that will not store large op returns or info stored in it on your node. It will only store transaction info and validate transactions that have the smaller op returns where you can&#39;t store too much information. The concern with large amounts of info being stored in the op return is that it will take up too Much space, and take longer to update or upkeep the blockchain, thus cutting down on decentralization by limiting the amount of people that have the space and ability to store extra information beyond the basic transactional info. The best way to think of a soft vs hard fork would be to consider a game of chess. You can change the rules such that pawns can move anywhere they want, but that wouldn&#39;t be the game of chess anymore. It&#39;s not reverse compatible with established rules. But you can change rules in a way that do not break the established rules of chess if say you and your opponent agree to only move each pawn once. And Collins&#39; drumming is amazing. Yeah some 60s recordings leave much to be desired from a mixing and quality perspective. I think because stereo literally just came out and different engineers didn&#39;t know how to mix with a second speaker 😂. But by the 70s I think they had more or less created the gold standard for the recording and mixing process! The second album by brand X is also pretty good and had the same lineup.
