I disagree that bitcoin is not used as a medium of exchange. Some of us use it only a daily basis and get paid in it as well. It’s not the majority yet because it is still a psychological jump for most to be okay spending something they have conviction will increase in price in the future. The on and off ramps issue is largely irrelevant in the long term in my opinion because both camps would greatly prefer to never have to go back to fiat. So it’s simply a time factor and building out local economies to be self sufficient just using bitcoin or monero as a medium of exchange. I’m not sure the derision between the two camps should even exist as we both want the same things and can certainly coexist. If you think everyone will choose privacy over number go up then you are wrong. And if someone thinks everyone will choose the opposite then you are also wrong. Certainly true you could be in a workplace structure that doesn’t allow for some of these to take place during your workday but outside of that they are unaffected.
