That audio page is an interesting one.

It's not tied to a specific release, but gives an overview of different components and how the audio story evolved over *multiple* releases:

"From Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 22.10, PulseAudio was the default sound server. This solved most of the limitations associated with using ALSA directly, such as software mixing, per-app volume, and device hotplugging [...]"

It's good background, but not critical for most users, so doesn't go in the official docs.

Hey Pierre Equoy (npub1qqs…k4s5) . Good question. If a contributor wants to add info about any arbitrary Ubuntu version, they can. There's probably not much interest in gaming on 8.04, for example, but a wiki can have that kind of niche information.

I don't expect the entire wiki to be versioned and aligned with every release. It's not feasible. Something like that is more likely for the [official Desktop documentation](https://documentation.ubuntu.com/desktop/en/latest/), which will be the authoritative docs for users of supported releases.
