Have to go to grandma’s birthday lunch today.
At the same bistro as last year, which has awful acoustics. I’ve never been anywhere that has such oppressive acoustics, the sound from people (loudly) talking seemed to bounce everywhere. And just made everyone louder. Being school holidays isn’t going to help matters either.

But it’s got disabled parking at its rear entrance, so easy for dad who’s bringing her. And a senior’s menu, which grandma doesn’t order from.

At least it’s early, bang on 12. Have it in a text message, so inevitably when I get called by dad saying “why aren’t you here??” I can cite the message (this often happens at Xmas, when he used to call and tell me what time, now I make sure it’s in writing). #Australia

I once met a guy…I think at some social event, and he kept flashing his phone screen to talk about his BMW.
And I was like “uh…okay?”.
Then he asked what I drove, like it was the most important thing. And when he found out is was a a Jeep Wrangler, his face fell so much.
He was asking all these questions about power, how it compared to other people, and I just said “it makes me happy”. And again it was like something broke in his brain. #driving #Australia
