But that doesn’t diminish what you did. I did want to be clear about a patch (though I was a little hasty in describing what you’re implementing). That seems an excellent question - I'd guess the metrics I'd look to would be Bitwig and Ardour (Paul Davis), covering the proprietary and open use cases pretty well.
