You're partly correct – the limit of 750 orphan blocks has existed in Bitcoin Core since 2014, and it's indeed designed to prevent excessive storage usage. However, this limit does not determine the length of a chain battle (fork).

Here's what happens during a fork (chain battle), and how it differs from orphan blocks:

During a fork, two or more competing chains coexist. These chains are not orphan blocks; they have known parents and are fully valid.
The network compares both chains' total work (accumulated difficulty). Nodes switch their "active chain" to the one with more work. The other chain becomes "stale" but is still known and valid.
The 750-block limit does not apply to stale blocks during a fork. It's only for blocks with unknown parents (orphans). . There's no predetermined limit to how long a fork can last; it depends on mining power and block finding rates.
In other words, during a fork, nodes don't discard blocks after 750 blocks. Instead, they remain committed to the chain with the most work, and the 750-block limit is irrelevant in this context.

Ausser, dass die Transaktionen lange im mempool verbleiben, wobei sie ja auf der Core chain in den block geschrieben werden. In your last video you've said, that you have to use btc core. Just adjust the datacarriersize to 42. And when version 30 will be released you can do it changing it in the config file. Maybe a good short tutorial for your next video. You could also ad how to change the knits version to a listening node. My settings for example are. Outgoing peer connections: clear nodes, tor nodes, i2p and all clear nodes via tor. Incoming peer connection: tor, i2p. Max peer connections: 32. It depends of your internet bandwidth.

Ich unterschreibe jeden Satz und muss dich leider enttäuschen. Kein Kopf rollt. Aber dafür Beförderungen zur UN, zu Unis, zur WHO oder demnächst in Aufsichtsräte. Der einzige Ausweg um das System zu schwächen war für mich Steuerentzug durch Auswandern in ein Land ohne direkte Steuern für mich plus 60% Bitcoin, 40% physisches Gold only. Sorry. Einen anderen Weg sehe ich nach 64 Lebensjahren nicht. Einmal zum Selbstschutz und um mit den Füßen abzustimmen. Für die Generation X ist starken ein Anfang.
