i agree with you re: influenzers & the democracy hype—i do not like the idea of blackrock and NoStrategy being well positioned to hoover up resources in africa; i am not into the alden type of folks. not that blockchains have borders but africa should develop its own.

however, a public ledger is not necessarily a bad thing: governments having a public ledger would be good for citizens. we should know what they are up to; they should not be privy to our affairs. right now that is reversed and leads to tension, anger, & dysfunction.

as for monero, i have not looked into it. as i heard about it from mcafee who looked on drugs talking about it, i do not have a good impression. important thing for a currency is for many people to adopt it, accept it, exchange in it. and yes, most people are lazy. they do what is easiest and most accessible without much thought as to the meaning & purpose behind it.

Basically all Western press is acting as if the U.S. & Israel are dictating this “conflict” and I am not seeing it. They betrayed G.C.C. who now know they can’t count on the U.S. for security or even a heads up in times of danger. Lost critical comms and detection gear that Isn’tReal relies on for missile warnings. And this sounds like what a leader would say, today’s FT front page: Iran’s top security official, Ali Larijani, said the “Strait of Hormuz will either be a strait of peace and prosperity for all or will be a strait of defeat and suffering for warmongers”.
