In the summer, you could practically walk across the bay by stepping from little fishing boat to little fishing boat. Unfortunately, we allowed bottom trawling and didn&#39;t even enforce the rule keeping them at least a quarter mile offshore, and that pretty much killed the water. Nobody fishes there now &#39;cuz there&#39;s nothing left to catch. Bottom trawlers scoop up and kill everything, then all the baby and undesirable fish are thrown back overboard as &#34;bycatch&#34;.<br/><br/>A nuclear power plant killed the Delaware Bay by using the water in which the weakfish spawned as coolant.
