Nah, my longest daily running was 46.2 kilometers. Waaaayyyy behind you! But the 46.2 kilometers felt really good, the first 25.1 K were quite fast and with my Brooks shoes, then I switched to my Asics for the added half marathon — perfect combination. In the woods, it was perfectly cool, so I added some kilometers to my usual route <but only moderately>. Last night I participated in a BBB (big band battle) with my school big band. It went well, but I got into bed at around 23:xx hours. When my alarm went off at 2:25 am, I deleted it and reset it for 3:25 am. Good choice. Warm-up went well, #Running was quite good, #JumpRope was even fun. But I found out only hours later that I had, indeed, crossed the 3,000 kilometers mark for this calendar year. #coros #apex4

Quite a day, but now I‘m really tired. The night was too short, and I didn’t even sleep well during the time I slept. All the more astonishing to me was the fact that I could run quite well. I‘ll have to adjust to the #Coros #Apex4 a little more – there‘s no auto pause and/or auto resume while #Running (so after a short pee break, I forgot to restart my workout for ~100 meters). Well, just my initials: SH, shit happens… #JumpingRope was fine. #audiobook as well.

Ja, da bin ich tatsächlich sehr gespannt, es wäre ja durchaus begrüßenswert, wenn der Umstieg sich so aufdrängen würde. Aktuell bin ich noch sehr im Apple-Ökosystem, da wird sich eine andere Uhr sicher erst einmal ganz seltsam anfühlen.

I got out of bed at 2:25 am, got into my sports gear, did my warm up routine, and was out for my run at 3:27 am. This *could have been perfect*. At the point where I usually hit 1K, nothing happened. GPS had stopped at 491 meters, iPhone was disconnected. Restarted both devices (AWU3 & iPhone 16PM), same results after 501 meters. F***! Went home and reset my AW to factory settings. It’s going quite well, but there‘s one thing I‘d really like to do on a regular basis: Leave my jacket behind… Alas, with temperatures at 4-5 degrees C in the morning, I‘m clutching to my jacket for now. Today‘s run was a rather quick one, but I didn’t push myself, I just let go and ran on. That was quite ok. Heart rate was up *a lot*, but I didn’t feel stressed out in any way. Yesterday, I saw it coming, forgot all about it during the night (getting sloooowly back to my usual rhythm), and was delighted after the run. But there was no time to celebrate, a friend came over for a complete setup of a new website (WordPress). After almost nine hours of sleep (just too good to wake up any sooner), I ditched my jacket for the first time this year and just ran with my long-sleeve shirt and my vest. First a little fresh, then perfect for a good tempo run. And, even though completely unplanned, I reached a very good pace overall. Slowly inching towards 2,000 kilometers this year. But I‘m not in a hurry. I‘ll have to fit in some longer runs soon (30K or more once every two weeks) in preparation for the Ulm Marathon in late September. But I‘m looking forward to it. My best full marathon time was 3:35, but that was with loads of elevation gain, the Ulm marathon is practically on even ground, so I‘m aiming for 3:25 or 3:15, maybe better. But who knows… today was quite warm, lots of sweating. 🥵 #Running #applewatchultra3

Ich war vollkommen entsetzt, als Trump die Wahl gewonnen hat. Puh! Immerhin sieht es ja so aus, als wären wir ihn in spätestens einem Jahr los. Wenn die Demokraten bei den Midterms die Mehrheit übernehmen, gibt es unter Garantie ein Impeachment-Verfahren. Da selbst die GOP mittlerweile die Schnauze voll von dem debilen Orangenen haben, könnte das *sehr* schnell gehen.

I actually always liked IceCubes. My only problem with it was/is the picture picker: If I choose four pics in a certain order, I expect them to show up in my toot in that order. Well, Openvibe does that correctly, IceCubes often/always mixes up my chosen order… But: if that is all, I can live with it. Happy to have you back in my feed without any further hassle! 🤩

Gosh! Great work – and great writing. Very inspiring. In a few weeks, my wife will be on a short concert tour through Italy. That‘s when I‘ll try my first ultra. I still don’t know what distance and what goals I‘ll set for myself, but I have to start somewhere – so why not just go for it? 🤩
