This little video says more than you’d think, and it’s a great example of how life-changing carnivore can be. For me, it’s important to remember and appreciate how much this lifestyle has given me.<br/><br/>Before I started carnivore, I couldn’t dance with my children because my knee hurt so much from osteoarthritis. The pain disappeared after just 3 weeks, and it was my first — and probably most dramatic — healing experience. I had otherwise resigned myself to a prognosis that only went one way: downhill, and that the future would likely involve a knee replacement at some point. When a person eats a high-sugar diet, cells get damaged, and cholesterol comes to aid like a bandage, helping to fix the broken cells. Cholesterol moves essential building blocks around the body for cells to use. It is essential—without it, you simply cannot survive.<br/><br/>More studies have now shown that having high cholesterol decreases all-cause mortality compared to having low cholesterol. You want your triglycerides to be as low as possible, along with a good ratio between them (this is a better indication of heart disease risk).<br/><br/>What about people with hypercholesterolemia? Yes, they have high cholesterol, but that is not their primary issue. There is another factor related to this genetic mutation: a higher tendency for blood clotting (I can’t recall the specific chemical reactions).
