I have set my new Pixel 8a with Graphene, but still face minor annoying issues. E.g. I can’t find CurvePay in the AuroraStore. It just does not show up… I have a similar issue with a few more local apps. I have been avoiding to install Google Play and move fully to the Graphene device..but if installing Google Play is a reasonable trade-off, I will definitely do it and hopefully start 2026 with my own device:)

This relay would not be happening without:

- The inspiration that we got from Gigi (npub1der…xzpc)'s writings in 2023
- The contagious enthusiasm of miljan (npub16c0…6nvr), Derek Ross (npub18am…p424), ODELL (npub1qny…95gx), Kieran (npub1v0l…qj49)
- The time invested by greshev (npub1mnw…eujc) to actually set up https://relay.botev.sv/

This is a small but important step in our recommittment to freedom.

👇 WHY?

1. Our club is named afer the poet and freedom fighter Hristo Botev, who died fighting for our country's freedm. Botev famously wrote "Only one who is free can be called human in the full sends of the word".

2. Botev FC suffered heavily to centralization and censorship during the Bulgarian communist era, when the team was forced to change its name to "Trakia" and was repeately mistreated in favor of communist-friendly clubs.

Embracing Bitcoin and Nostr is, therefore, the most natural step for our club's identity and historical roots.

If Hristo Botev was alive, he would have been a Bitcoiner running a full node and a Norst relay.

In the past year, we have mostly been cross-posting from Twitter to Nostr. But for us this is just the beginning. We already have plans for Nostr-exclusive content and keep looking for:
- the right Nostr clients that enable us to reinvent fan engagement;
- the best way to utilize our relat for our community;
- new purple paradigms and projects.

It was thrilling to join thenostrworld (npub1nst…rg5l)'s Nostriga. The energy I felt in people reminded of the energy described in Ben Merzlich's "Bitcoin Billionaires" book about the Winklevos brothers. It is an honor to part of this community.

Is it just a “coincidence” that the day after the US house passes an act automatically registering men aged 18 - 26 in “selective service” ie - draft, that my 16 year son comes to me saying that signing up for the military looks “fun”.

As the propaganda and war machine ramps up, and social media channels/AI is used to manipulate minds and control the agenda, talk to your kids - openly and often about their thoughts.

Ps - It was a good reinforcement lesson for my son that his own thoughts are being manipulated. (He thought he was immune because we often talk about it as a family)

I am prepareing a 20 min #bitcoin talk to Botev (npub19jf…8rx0)'s squad.

We have mostly #Bulgarian 🇧🇬 players but also 4 great Nigerian players, as well as players from #Cameroon 🇨🇲, Ivory Coast 🇨🇮, #Guinea 🇬🇫, #Poland 🇵🇱, #Estonia 🇪🇪, #Montenegro 🇲🇪, #Denmark 🇩🇰, and #Croatia 🇭🇷.

So far, I plan to go personal by:

1. Asking the African players how to they send remittances to their relatives. And then show them how they can send bitcoin over LN instantly and for free.

2. Asking the experienced players how much income they made over their careers. Then show them how much more they could have if they DCA-ed in #BTC for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 years.

🙋‍♂️What other impactful examples, ideas, illustrations would you use to orange-pill players?

All ideas are welcome -> conventional or crazy!
