Checklist on how to do Parasite SEO for free

When I search for king of aeo I see 10 blue links, and out of those 10, 6 are from posts on various social media.

Here is how to do free parasite SEO:

You MUST Create profiles on major social media for your brand. Google allow you to add social media to GBP, and also allow you to add some of them to Google Search Console. This is a must, also for basic SEO.

Post on these daily:

- Youtube community posts. They are starting to rank very well

- Facebook. Create a Facebook group with your company name, they rank better than pages

- LinkedIn posts or Linkedin articles

- X posts. Upgrade to Premium for articles if you have the budget, articles rank better

- Instagram, Instagram posts are starting to rank really well

- Threads, it allows for outgoing links

- Pinterest - it does bring in organic traffic

- tumblr. Yes tumblr. The posts might not rank well, but they can serve as backlinks to the other posts

If you can I advice this:

- Youtube videos. A Youtube video is the OG of parasite seo, so if you can, create videos...

Redupload same video here:

- Tiktok

- Linkedin

- Facebook

- X

- Threads

- Pinterest

The various algorithms love videos, you will be rewarded with views, and in you can grab more than one position in video carrousel with the same video....

Create your own subreddit on Reddit. Dont spam it. Treat it like a website. Post continually about what you do. Not too many outgoing links. Posts in a subreddit rank extremely well.

Post occcasionally:

- Substack. These articles rank very well. It does take some months before they can index. But Substack is awesome for rankings.

Keep on posting multiple times pr day to all of the above. Be consistent. The more you post, the more authority the profiles get in Google.

After a while of continous posting, Google will notice your social media profiles, and the posts will begin to index automatically. I see my X posts index very fast, within a couple of hours sometimes.

You will start to see various posts pop up on page one for your brand.

Then longtail keywords will start to appear on page one.

Once you have posted, start making ai pages in Perplexity and Qwen, they will rank well for branded search terms. If you have multiple positions on page one, the Perplexity page will actually source YOUR sites....

A bonus tip is considering buying a cheap press release, and point to the highest ranking posts...

I noticed, that when the SomePoster posts started to index, one the first that got cited was the post on myshopify.

When you create a Linkedin post, Linkedin create a search engine friendly standalone page in the background for that post.

I discovered that they use the first 6 to 8 words in the post content, and put into the url and in the pagetitle for the page.

What that means for SEO is, these pages rank extremely well for those first 6 to 8 keywords.

They also get cited in AI overviews...

So if you want visibility on page one for your branded search terms, use Linkedin posts as one of the most important weapons in your parasite seo playbook...

I can see in my content calendar, I posted 481 times in august....

I added a complete content calendar inside SomePoster. Inside this calendar, you can see all previous posted stuff, as well as what you planned in the future..

In the screenshot you can see I clicked on a post, and in right side, I can see which channels I posted to, copy the urls, and inspect that post...

I can select what client I want to check, so its possible for me to see what has been posted, and when.

I posted 481 times in august, so I would say I have done sufficient... This number is the total number of posts though. I post to 19 channels at once, so the number quickly adds up.

SEO is not equal to GEO/AEO and here is why...

Why? An LLM is not a search engine. Its a text generator.

It might USE a search engine as one of the ways it gets its training data. but ranking #1 in Google, does not automatically get you mentioned in LLM output..

If SEO is not equal to AEO, then there would have to be activities that you do, that makes no sense for SEO, but does for AEO..

Some of these are:

1. Unlinked mentions. This does little to nothing for your SEO, but means everything for AEO. The more places your brand is mentioned the better.
2. Chunking, or answering fanout queries. I have not seen in my tests, that adding fanout quieries to my text makes it perform any better in Google for the target keyword, from which the fanout queries where derived. But it most certainly does make the content more likely to appear in LLMs..
3. Being mentioned in listicles. This will improve your chance of being presented in the LLMs, even if there is no link to your website. Without a link, its of very little value for Google rankings. Listicles is not something I ever did before LLMs and AI overview was a thing...

Yesterday I made a test. I posted this very simple text to LinkedIn, Facebook and X:

Nofollow links still pass value - prove me wrong

I wanted to see what happened after Google crawled my profiles. Im very active, and my posts typically appear in Google after around 12 hours...

Today, the Linkedin post is ranking #2 for "nofollow links still pass value", and its the top source in AI overview.

This is in contrast to what I have seen earlier, where Facebook posts are preferred. It seems right now, Google is leaning towards giving credit to Linkedin posts, more than Facebook posts..

If I pose it as a question: "does nofollow links still pass value" the Linkedin post is still on page one, but at the bottom..

Whats very interesting is, the Facebook post has close to 150 interactions, but is still not indexed..

P.s. This post goes out to 19 channels at once, so Im sure no one miss it :-) Im using SomePoster to post to my social media. Its a massive timesaver, especially when Im performing such tests.. Check out link in first comment..

This is an oldie but goldie.. I used this in the beginning of the year to build PR about Primeindexer when I launched it.

They claim they have free press releases, but I could not get that to work, so I paid 35USD for mine..

It indexed very fast and even ranked on page one for my brand.. Obviously, its not ranking anymore, press releases tend to dissappear after a couple of weeks, but its a good strong site, if you are looking for a cheap press release, that not many know about...

Today, I ran a small experiment. I wrote a LinkedIn post, and optimized it for fast rankings. 3 minutes after I published it, I was ranking number one for the target keyword: How to rank in Google with Linkedin posts

Besides the number one ranking, Im also cited in AI overview. Here is what I did:

1. Put the target keyword in the beginning of the post, the exact search term I want to rank for.
2. Write optimized text, about 300 words about the topic, so Google understands the context.
3. Dont use hashtags
4. Click the three dots in upper right corner, copy link to post, insert that in browser, wait untill it redirects, and Voila, you got the search friendly URL
5. Send this url to Primeindexer for instant indexing

It took me three minutes in total, after I published the post, untill it was ranking number one in Google.

If you dont use hashtags, LinkedIn will take the first 6-10 words, and create the search friendly url, which will make it easier for you to rank, for that keyword...

What used to take me half an hour, now takes me one minute. I just write my post, select my preselected platforms (currently 19), and click Post Now.

Create social media profiles, build out profile links, buy a couple of press releases, get your website in directories that fits your niche... And try to get as many as these links indexed.

2. Compile and gather all the urls and write advanced schema

Collect as many indexed urls as possible into one large collection of urls. Add them to the sameas schema that you have on your own main website. Put into localbusiness or organization schema, whatever fits the best.

3. Backlink to the backlinks

All your social media profiles, all your profile page links, all your press releases. They become target for even more backlinks. Share all of these links as many places as possible. Create a new press release, insert link to your X and LinkedIn profile. Become mentioned in listicles or guest posts, and make sure to link to a press release about your brand.

The more interlinked your backlinks are, the stronger the entity you have.

Here is what I do to write schema for my articles:

1. Add target keyword in schemawriter
2. select target company and target url
3. Run report
4. When report is finished, finetune entities from competitor enties
5. Add missing entites in my content based on the entity editor
6. Add entity optimized FAQ content written by schemawriter
7. Upload to Wordpress with built in plugin.

This takes about five to ten minutes. The process outcome is entity optimized and nested schema. Very advanced, and not possible to get with ChatGPT and Claude.

One of the biggest challenges I have in my daily work is this:

What SAAS do I focus on today....

I have the (positive) problem, that i have developed 4 SAAS platforms:

YACSS, schemawriter, primeindexer and now SomePoster. I want to make all four world dominating softwares, fix tickets within 10 minutes, and keep on adding new features daily..

However, thats offcourse totally unrealistic. Right now Im working very hard on SomePosters new Parasite SEO ranking app, but I also just launched MCP for YACSS.

It turns out, publishing an MCP that allows for connecting and uploading cloud links to +30 cloud platforms, doesnt come without challenges, and users are daily finding a ton of issues and new features that would fit the MCP perfectly..

Yesterday I shot a video on how to use Chatgpt to post on social media, using the MCP from SomePoster.

As an example, I asked Chatgpt to fetch the last months Facebook posts, analyze them, and come up with an idea for a new post about Parasite SEO.

It produced 5 ideas, and I selected the best one and rewrote it on my own tone of voice. I then posted it from inside ChatGPT.

I just checked now, and this post got 4500 views on X, and 11264 views on Facebook.

For me, this is the best usecase of having MCP connection to ChatGPT. Use it to analyze a batch of posts, and come up with new post ideas..

If you're serious about onpage seo and schema, you should check this out

When I do onpage seo, I use schemawriter.ai and run a report for the target keyword.

It builds out the entire advanced schema, but it also scrapes and finds and sorts all top10 competitors entities. It even find entities that Google recommends.

An entity is a special keyword that has a Wikipedia page. Its important, because Google uses Wikipedia to train its knowledge graph. So if you have entities in your content, Google knows, without a doubt, what your content is about.

In the Entities report, schemawriter shows all your entities, the competitions, and also the entity gap.

This means, you can directly see what entities your competition is using, and you are not..

We also find a special category "Additional entities".. We search google this way: keyword + wikipedia

In this way, we find entities that google directly shows in their search page that are important..

How I use ChatGPT to post to social media

I have connected SomePoster to ChatGpt. That allows me to use ChatGPT to analyze my existing posts, and come up with new suggestions. Here is my workflow:

1. Starting point is, I want to post about a topic. For example Parasite SEO.
2. Ask ChatGPT to fetch the last months posts from my Facebook page.
3. Ask it to analyze them, and come up with 5 suggestions.
4. Select the best, and ask it to write it in my tone of voice.
5. Rewrite it manually. You always want to do this.
6. Ask it to post to all my social media.

This is in my opinion the best of both worlds. I get the full analytical power of ChatGPT, and the luxury of direct access to all my historical posts...

Its been a little more than two months since I launched SomePoster. Im not almost at 3000usdMRR, and its growing steadily every day.

Facebook api has a max of 500 posts, so it returned those posts, analyzed them all, and based on the interaction of the posts came up with the idea that I just posted about.

How awesome is that. SomePoster + MCP + Claude = unique posts..... And yes, I write all my posts in hand, but use AI sometimes for ideation :-)

LinkedIn for parasite SEO. Three tips to get cited by AI

If you want to use LinkedIn posts to rank in Google, here are three things you can control:

1. The url

LinkedIn use your hashtags to create the url of the post. The word you write after the hashtag, is put directly in the url. This has great impact of how well the post will rank. LinkedIn writes the url with the hashtags, in the order you place them.

2. The SEO title

Google will use the first 6 to 12 words in your post to create the SEO title in its serps. If you want to capture the ranking with a Linkedin post, for a particular search term, start your post with that search term. Exactly like people search for it. Your LinkedIn post will index, and you will notice the SEO title written as the start of your post.

3. The indexable version of the post

Open your post, click the three small dots in upper right corner. Click copy link to post. Paste this into the browser, and wait for the redirect to finish. The url in browser now, will be the search engine friendly version, that google can index...

These three things combined with a post that is optimized for your target search term, will provide the biggest chance of ranking with LinkedIn posts...

This is more important than ever. In its study from march 2026, Semrush found LinkedIn to be the second most cited domain in Google AI overview, ahead of Youtube..

I start every day checking my analytics in SomePoster, to see whats working, and if I can do more...

The numbers are normally pretty even, but last week I get a huge jump, I got 1,8 million views combined from my channels in one day.

It was the tweet I made on X about the Claude watermark from Guillaume Meyer that drew the most views as you can see. 1,7 million..

Whats interesting is, I posted the exact same on all channels, If you check the three big, X, Facebook and Linkedin, the numbers are:

1,7 million on X

33,700 on Facebook

920 on LinkedIn

I have seen many examples of posts doing way better on Facebook, thats normally the case.

This is a prime example of how I think about marketing: You need to be present on all channels. You never know how your content will perform on a given platform, so you might as well crosspost it on all...

It literally takes me two seconds in SomePoster to select all 20 channels, and click Post Now. Huge timesaver.

One minor detail. I got 142 views from Pinterest. Thats extremely impressive to me, as all I post are screenshots like the one attached to this post. But apparently, if you are consistent, you will get traffic. Even from Pinterest..

When you request indexing, the urls will be sent to Primeindexer. You can request the entire batch, or you can select individual posts.

I never request indexing of newly posted Facebook and Linkedin posts, as I know they do require some interaction, in order to show up in Google..

But with this tip from Chris, I will start to see this differently.

As it turns out, Linkedin is taking the hashtags, to create the url. This has great effect on your posts ability to rank in Google search, so this opens up a whole new way of thinking strategically about these hashtags..

When you make a Linkedin post, you can open this post, and click Copy link to post (three small dots in upper right corner).

This will take you to the search engine friendly version of your post, that Google can index.

Google use the first 6 to 12 words in the post content, to create the SEO title you see in the Google serps.

What that means for SEO is, these pages rank extremely well for those first 6 to 12 keywords.

So if you want visibility on page one for your branded search terms, use LinkedIn posts as one of the most important weapons in your parasite seo playbook...

I have collected a number of places you can post to that are free, index, and rank in Google, especially for longtail and local SEO keywords:

1. Facebook page or Facebook group. Group posts do better at the moment.
2. Youtube community posts.
3. Substack
4. X
5. LinkedIn
6. Instagram

In order to get your Substack articles to index and rank, your profile needs to have some authority in terms of age, number of posts, and preferably followers.

When you have posted consistently for a couple of months, your audience on the social media will start to grow, you will get interactions, and your posts will begin to index automatically...

Posting to the above profiles daily will reinforce your Entity in Google. Your brand name will be connected to the keywords and topics you post about, and if you later on publish press releases or guest posts about your brand, you will have a higher chance of ranking your own website.

When I do onpage seo, I use http://schemawriter.ai and run a report for the target keyword.

It builds out the entire advanced schema, but it also scrapes and finds and sorts all top10 competitors entities.

An entity is a special keyword that has a Wikipedia page.

Its important, because Google uses Wikipedia to train its knowledge graph.

So if you have entities in your content, Google knows, without a doubt, what your content is about.

In the Entities report, schemawriter shows all your entities, the competitions, and also the entity gap.

This means, you can directly see what entities your competition is using, and you are not..

We also find a special category "Additional entities"..

We search google this way: keyword + wikipedia In this way, we find entities that google directly shows in their search page that are important..

In the last 90 days, I have grown my audience on the big 4: Facebook, X, Linkedin and Youtube from 32,355 to 39,399 followers combined.

Thats an increase of 7,044 followers.. And I do not login to these 4 platforms each time I post..

There are at least 10 main platforms you need to post to regularly, in order to get your message out to your target audience. Forget about opening 10 browser tabs, logging in 10 times, and copying and pasting your branded posts...

I know for a fact, your not going to do that. The mere thought of doing this one time pr week, let alone one time daily is a nightmare..

I got suspended from Facebook last year, due to an AI moderation error. That was a big chock for me. But it opened my eyes for the importance of being visible everywhere. Because then I wouldnt be vulnerable if I lost one platform. I would always have another..

Social media posts in AI Overview

Im beginning to see a pattern: Posts with high engagement are being used more often in AI overview. Im going to show you an example of this below...

Last week I made a very simple post with this text: Backlinks are more important than onpage SEO. Prove me wrong...

Naturally this got a lot of interactions, especially in Facebook. Its currently sitting at 661 likes, 292 comments and 20 shares.

I noticed it showing up after one day in Google. At first, Google showed it with +100 reactions. I just checked now, and its showing in the serps with +650 reactions.

That tells me three things:

- Google is recrawling popular posts..

- Google is counting the number of interactions

- Google is promoting more popular posts

Allthough I cant be 100% sure on the third point, I do see now, that when I search for this:

Are backlinks more important than on page seo

Then I now see my Facebook post as a top cition in the AI overview. It cant be cited because of what I wrote, because my text was so short. So it has to be the comments...

The other two top citations are Reddit and Linkedin. I counted the number of interactions that theses posts had:

Linkedin: 450 reactions

Reddit: +30 reactions

My Facebook post: 650 reactions

This is a very interesting develoment, and one that I will continue to follow..

Social media post indexing tip of the day

Dont send your social media posts to indexers right after you posted. Why? There are two reasons...

First of all, Google is getting very good at picking up and indexing social media posts now. Im seeing this more and more, that I dont have to do anything, and my Facebook, Linked and X posts get picked up and index within a day. Sometimes faster.

The second and more important thing.. Social media posts will get more engagement, likes, shares and comments, the older they are. Google is measuring these things. The more interaction you get, the higher the chance that your posts will index and get shown in Google. They will also index a lot faster if they have engagement.

So, its better to let your posts marinate a day or two, and then try to index them, if they havent shown up in Google...

When you look at Google search results, you can see that Google is showing us how many interactions a certain Facebook post has. I am beginning to notice, that if posts get a lot of comments, a social media carrousel will also be shown on page one in Google.

This carrousel will show discussions on Facebook, Reddit and Linkedin, and will feature your posts with high interaction.

if you do manage to get posts with a high number of interactions, you will notice a benefit: Your posts have a high chance of getting cited in the AI overview.

With regards to the actual indexing, I use primeindexer.com my own indexing tool, it usually does the trick and index my social media posts in a couple of minutes...

I just added this feature that I LOVE! If I make a mistake, which I often do, I always discover it, AFTER I click post... I then have to go to all the social media one by one, to delete the allready uploaded post..

Sooo, I added Delete option. It might sound like a small thing, but believe me, its a time saver... To be able to click Delete ALL, has saved me many times..

I had the problem that I wasnt posting to all the social media channels, that I knew I had to use, in order to grow my audience.

Google is showing number of interactions on social media posts...

Check the screenshot. I posted on Facebook about the importance of backlinks vs onpage seo two days ago.

I note two things...

1. The post indexed by itself, and after indexation, Google is showing how many people interacted with this post..
2. The url to the post is search friendly with keywords. This only happen if Google indexes them without help....

In this case, it shows +100 interactions, the actual number of comments now is at 266..

What does this tell me? It tells me that interaction is a signal to Google. I suspect its even a ranking factor for social media posts..

The current Google algorithm is giving social media posts an unfair positive treatment. Just look at my screenshot. Facebook, Linkedin and Quora..

You can use this to leverage your audience.

Posting engaging stuff in your social media, while ensuring that the first line of your post is equal to the keyword you want to rank for, seems to be the way to go with social media...

You want to send newsletters, but you dont, because its a pain logging in to Mailchimp?

I had that issue, but then I built Mailchimp into SomePoster.
