That pine tree was the only thing between her and a 40 foot drop into the Flathead River which is fed directly by glacier melt, saving her life.<br/><br/>In saving her life she received a fractured c-1 vertebrae, broken cheek, three teeth knocked out, 18 stitches on her lips and face, broken scapula, two broken ribs, one punctured lung, dislocated hip and fractured femur now supported by a titanium rod.
