Multiple I talked to and places I'd read suggested the Best Test + Bestine combo, mixing about equal parts in a glass jar with metal lid (I tried plastic but the fumes bulged and warped it and it stopped being airtight) using like, a Popsicle stick or something to mix thoroughly and then it's nice and thin for easily applying cleanly with a small paint brush ^^

Bestine is the brand I use, same as the Best Test cement! Need to thin the glue out to make it workable -- it's just too thick otherwise. Plus it works great as a surface prep for the glue, or removing it for mistakes.

For the surface prep, any residue-less cleaner works, I know some people prefer rubbing alcohol or acetone. And I may stick to acetone for cleaning since it's much cheaper of a solvent.

I tried Barge cement thinner but that stuff is so noxious :< Bestine is just heptane, but the barge also adds toluene and ethyl acetate. It literally strips its own paint just trying to pour it for use, and it fucked up my cutting mat. It smelled like a sign shop x.x I'm just holding onto the can until the hazmat recycling day so I can drop it off.

Eat! The tiny 'maters will end up snacks or part of a loose sauce for a pasta. The big ones sliced for eats or into a sauce, or sandwich -- I DID actually grate one yesterday to put on crusty bread to make pan con tomate!

The peppers will go into something spicy, at least the cowhorns, because those are FIREY hot. And I dunno on the santa fe, they're a fruity-spicy one.

I have these lovely things invading many of my gladiolus. The white ones are also on my tomatoes somewhat, but not heavily-so.

I've sprayed them all down with neem oil spray using a half-gallon pressurized sprayer I got, but I'm worried that's not good enough.

It rains frequently here too during the summer (Central Alabama) so most things applied might wash off within a couple days.

What's safe for treating my plants regularly to help my tomato harvests as well? They have some yellowing leaves at the bottom and those white things were on them.

It's not that. That's true, sure, but it's unrelated.

It's that they don't care.

People keep assuming the VPN bans or "you still have to verify age of Utah citizens even behind a VPN" solely come about based on a lack of knowledge but the real point is establishing consequences to prevent the things that can't fight it from existing to begin.

They'll decline to go after the porn websites they as lawmakers use themselves, but will instead hit up independent things that can't afford to fight back and will just close when contacted -- places like independent social media, small websites providing information to queer youth, and other small sexual health websites.

The obs-localvocal plugin ( https://github.com/royshil/obs-localvocal/ ) for live captions in OBS isn't updated frequently, and on Linux that's actually often an issue when on a semi-bleeding-edge distro like Arch. The pre-built libraries for whisper-cpp were out-of-date for my ROCm, and I had to build from source, and even find a build flag not referenced in the documentation to FULL build from-source including whisper-cpp.

I'm still on OpenSUSE on my laptop but I've been considering switching; lort knows since it's Tumbleweed they BOTH update frequently, and at least with Cachy the entire Arch wiki is applicable (if it's still up-to-date).

I even have VSTs working for stuff, licensed ones! (I don't think I've paid for any yet but some are licensed free via my Focusrite interface). Someone did a guide with scripts that can use a Bottles bottle (though because I'm running Bottles locally, not as a flatpak, I had to modify their script slightly) with a specific Wine runner for YABridge to run them. It's wild seeing the interface windows and their controls when adding as a rack in Carla. Mind, all of this isn't exactly Arch-specific stuff but like, it's cool as hell.

Really so far the Windows-only stuff I've been getting away with in a VM if I can't run it under Wine or Proton. Even current Affinity runs pretty damn solid under Wine. And sure, I can't use device firmware updaters in that, but I can via the Windows VM, temporarily attaching a device before removing once the update is done.

It ensures building a package from source NEVER collides with other packages because the pkg declares the files it creates.

Every time I see folks say "screen readers should just handle them as letters" it dismisses the fact they all are useful characters that mean things in other contexts, but the idea of "in certain circumstances" is the first time I've read a related take that feels vaguely viable.

I could see some folks going "aha! A use for LLMs!" but someone on fedi wrote a handcrafted "micro language model" -- his words analogizing it -- so my stream bot could detect when someone key smashes and automatically play the "password generated" event I've got set up for it. Extremely low CPU, could detect quickly in this case.

But that all still requires developers of these readers to implement functionality based on this misusage. Where do you draw the line? What about the folks who use those characters from non-Roman written languages that look like Roman characrers, like the racist "Asian font" generators?

- There is _no_ confirmation of this yet, it's only listed as an "upcoming" vuln without assigned page on ZDI's site.
- Media/stickers/calls/etc are _not_ confirmed mechanisms at all, and may have nothing to do with it.
- We don't even know that it's an RCE, that's just an assumption that some other websites have run with.
- Other "9.8 CVSS" 'vunlerabilities' have been reported in the past for other software that were...not. This AI slop one against curl (https://hackerone.com/reports/3340109) comes to mind.

It just says the vendor is Telegram, and Telegram has numerous services. For all we know this could be related to their blockchain, their payment platforms, or a vulnerability allowing malicious takeover of someone else's bot. There is zero information, as the researcher themself has said nothing on what it is so far.

Meta does not have a particularly great track record of deleting records on their part with their other services. It's hypocritical of them to be throwing a fit that other instances just refuse to connect to them altogether as a result of their historic behavior, especially with no guarantees Meta won't siphon the instance data without being blocked at the network level.

reminds me of a grilled Thai inspired sandwich a friend taught me: PB on the inside of one slice (not sweet), and orange marmalade in the inside of the other. Between, add curry powder, Sriracha, and fresh basil, either from a tube or chiffoned. Then mayo the outside of it and griddle! Extremely good.
