But the real story is the 38 active accounts — with real followers, real identities — whose private keys are publicly exposed with no signs of compromise. Collectively, 21,000+ followers are following accounts whose owners don't know their nsec is public.

How? Mostly profile fields. Users paste their nsec into a field meant for their npub. UX confusion, not a protocol flaw.

74% of follower exposure comes from profile-field leaks. That's on clients, not users.
