I don't know why anyone would think that they wouldn't just convert it into profit. Lol There's no reason to compete on price in a pay-to-play system that makes true competition difficult. Running a company in the US is retardedly not Capitalist. It's irks the fuck out of me when I see people blame capitalism. That isn't what we've had for a very long time. We came close early on but it's been a mixed economy for most of our existence. And that mixed nature distorts reality. Winners and losers are chosen.

There also seems to be no acknowledgement of the push to get massive debt for a degree (among all the other shit people buy on credit now - cars, housing, etc) to do the jobs being replaced. What happens when people can't pay that debt anymore? And that's putting aside the fact that debasement already makes it hard to stay afloat anyway. I'm not a Luddite. I'm just asking questions. I don't see how life is sustainable as things are. And even with the lowest prices, where is even that money coming from?
I think we should have had a sound money system from the start, leading to a slower transition where everyone would benefit. It would have been a more natural progression. I don't see how that happens when everyone is already on the brink and expected to adjust in mere years. Actual capitalism would have likely led to abundance and less time working for most people. But that isn't what we have.
What am I missing?

I'm not sure how deep I've seen a write up go. I'd expect a write up on Frost to be more readily available, and then the info on frostr.org to understand where it's different, and where there are things that may not have quite been mapped over, such as tools for distributed key generation.

It's basically an application of Shamir's secret sharing which conceivably can be used both on the nsec and an xpriv.
I've been doing more chatting with AI about it and other nested key variants to understand differences. Some of those actually do seem better for just Bitcoin but Frost seems to hit the sweet spot of working well for both Nostr and Bitcoin.
That all said, I'm no cryptographer, just really curious about what can be done, with a penchant for bringing up ideas like this hoping someone who does know what they're doing might run with them.
